  1. I have had the same reaction from my best friend all she kept saying after I started losing some weight when I was banded ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WATCH YOUR CALORIES, well if it was that easy I would be thin and so would she!!!!! Now all she can say is how jealous she is that I only have 24lbs more to go!!!! Look I am in the gym 4 or 5 days a week for over and hr each day and I try and eat what I am supposed to, I am in pain if I eat a little too much or too fast, too big of a bit or I vomit!!!!! I have to put out a ton of money for new clothes(WHICH I AM NOT COMPLAINING) We have to go every couple of weeks and have a huge needle stuck in our port and in my case no numbing meds he just does it.. So easy way out I don't think so at all we just want to be healthy and be able to live!!!!!!! :smile2:

  2. I am so happy I don't know what it is about hitting this particular number when I got up this morning and saw the number on the scale it is going to make my whole day!!!!! 24lbs left to go to reach my final goal!!!! If I could go back and this all over again I def. would but don't get me wrong I bust my butt everyday in the gym. I try and eat the right things (sometimes slip) I have not weighed this amount in about 9yrs. HAPPY DAYS AHEAD!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY. Healthy once again!!!:smile2:

  3. How long have you been banded? I still slack off every now and then it will be 5 months the 3rd of Oct. I try to do 4 or 5 days a week at the gym but sometimes it just doesn't happen. The important thing is we get back on the wagon the next day... Good Luck..

  4. I was banded May3rd and I have lost 44lbs so far I didn't have a preop diet so nothing before. My weight loss seemed a little slow in the beginning but has picked up pretty well since my last fill in Aug. I go back next Wed. and not sure if I even need another fill so we will see, 27lbs to go and they will prob. be the hardest to get off!!!!

  5. I don't eat before the gym, my band is way too tight in the morning so I have a cup of coffee and off I go. I do about and hour or a little more there and am home by 9:45am and then I most of the time don't eat until around 12 or 1pm b/c my band is usually still tight. I have tuna fish, Soup, salad or something like that and then I usually get in almost all my calories at dinner. I too have a problem with snacking but that is usually around 8pm I have been controlling the past few night but it was out of control. Good luck.

  6. Well Tues was a really good day, I ate pretty well no horrible eating at night. I have to admit sometimes I am not the best eater and would lose so much more if I just stuck to what I am supposed to be eating. I eat, alot of chicken, sometimes steak with salad. I eat almost anything. I def. exercise about 4 or 5 times a week for a little over an hr. most days. I feel so good afterward but when I am eating crappy the exercise doesn't do much, thats the way I feel anyway. For some reason since banding it seems like I am craving cakes, pastries and stuff like that. Never was big on them before but now I can't get enough. Go figure!!!!!lol

  7. I did too, especially I know its doesn't sound like alot I had about 71lbs to lose to get to goal but you know what I could not do it on my own, I had high blood pressure and just felt like crap for alot of years and was sick of it. I am so glad I got banded and trust me it is still alot of work you have to exercise and eat as healthy as possible but you can do it if you put your mind to it. Its a whole new way of life, I wouldn't change it. Let us know how it goes with your visit.

  8. See I was never told to limit my carbs just stay in the limit of the calories and I seem to be losing ok doing that. I will be 5 months out on the 3rd of Oct. and have lost almost 45lbs. That is good for me... As long as I exercise and are careful with my calories it seems to be doing the trick. Everyone is different with carbs and I def. think you should do what your dr. recommends. Just like sometimes I see people on here that were told they can drink soda and I was told never soda again for the rest of my life. It all depends on your dr.

  9. I had abdominal pain the first 2 days but the pain meds took care of that but then the shoulder pain from gas that was trapped was the worse part and I still get it in my left shoulder every now and then which I never did before. If I could do it all over again I def. would, the pain was so worth it. I wouldn't be down almost 45lbs in a little under 5 months. I feel great!!!! Are you banded yet?
