Is there a way to send a picture from your cell phone to have it loaded on here without a wire, just by messaging to here. I can't find my computer wire and would like to post a before and after.

I have had the same reaction from my best friend all she kept saying after I started losing some weight when I was banded ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WATCH YOUR CALORIES, well if it was that easy I would be thin and so would she!!!!! Now all she can say is how jealous she is that I only have 24lbs more to go!!!! Look I am in the gym 4 or 5 days a week for over and hr each day and I try and eat what I am supposed to, I am in pain if I eat a little too much or too fast, too big of a bit or I vomit!!!!! I have to put out a ton of money for new clothes(WHICH I AM NOT COMPLAINING) We have to go every couple of weeks and have a huge needle stuck in our port and in my case no numbing meds he just does it.. So easy way out I don't think so at all we just want to be healthy and be able to live!!!!!!! :smile2:

I am so happy I don't know what it is about hitting this particular number when I got up this morning and saw the number on the scale it is going to make my whole day!!!!! 24lbs left to go to reach my final goal!!!! If I could go back and this all over again I def. would but don't get me wrong I bust my butt everyday in the gym. I try and eat the right things (sometimes slip) I have not weighed this amount in about 9yrs. HAPPY DAYS AHEAD!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY. Healthy once again!!!:smile2:

How long have you been banded? I still slack off every now and then it will be 5 months the 3rd of Oct. I try to do 4 or 5 days a week at the gym but sometimes it just doesn't happen. The important thing is we get back on the wagon the next day... Good Luck..

I was banded May3rd and I have lost 44lbs so far I didn't have a preop diet so nothing before. My weight loss seemed a little slow in the beginning but has picked up pretty well since my last fill in Aug. I go back next Wed. and not sure if I even need another fill so we will see, 27lbs to go and they will prob. be the hardest to get off!!!!

I don't eat before the gym, my band is way too tight in the morning so I have a cup of coffee and off I go. I do about and hour or a little more there and am home by 9:45am and then I most of the time don't eat until around 12 or 1pm b/c my band is usually still tight. I have tuna fish, Soup, salad or something like that and then I usually get in almost all my calories at dinner. I too have a problem with snacking but that is usually around 8pm I have been controlling the past few night but it was out of control. Good luck.

I totally agree with everything you said!!!! What happens also when all the weight comes off with no kind of exercise you are left with a bunch of saggy skin, who wants to go through all this and then have that!!!!! That was a great post!!!

Well Tues was a really good day, I ate pretty well no horrible eating at night. I have to admit sometimes I am not the best eater and would lose so much more if I just stuck to what I am supposed to be eating. I eat, alot of chicken, sometimes steak with salad. I eat almost anything. I def. exercise about 4 or 5 times a week for a little over an hr. most days. I feel so good afterward but when I am eating crappy the exercise doesn't do much, thats the way I feel anyway. For some reason since banding it seems like I am craving cakes, pastries and stuff like that. Never was big on them before but now I can't get enough. Go figure!!!!!lol
-
Well you should be proud of yourself that you lost that much so far!!!!!! YAY!!! and you bought a bike, another YAY!!!!! You can do this and we are all here to support you, just keeping thinking you CAN!!!!!!!

I did too, especially I know its doesn't sound like alot I had about 71lbs to lose to get to goal but you know what I could not do it on my own, I had high blood pressure and just felt like crap for alot of years and was sick of it. I am so glad I got banded and trust me it is still alot of work you have to exercise and eat as healthy as possible but you can do it if you put your mind to it. Its a whole new way of life, I wouldn't change it. Let us know how it goes with your visit.

Well good luck tomorrow at the dr. and just do alot of research on the band. This website is so full of information it is awesome. Whatever you choose I am sure you will make the right decision for you.

See I was never told to limit my carbs just stay in the limit of the calories and I seem to be losing ok doing that. I will be 5 months out on the 3rd of Oct. and have lost almost 45lbs. That is good for me... As long as I exercise and are careful with my calories it seems to be doing the trick. Everyone is different with carbs and I def. think you should do what your dr. recommends. Just like sometimes I see people on here that were told they can drink soda and I was told never soda again for the rest of my life. It all depends on your dr.

I have had 3 fills so far and after everyone of them I am nauseous and usually have diarreha. It usually lasts like 1 or 2 days and then I am fine. I would give it a few days and see if your feeling better.
-
I had abdominal pain the first 2 days but the pain meds took care of that but then the shoulder pain from gas that was trapped was the worse part and I still get it in my left shoulder every now and then which I never did before. If I could do it all over again I def. would, the pain was so worth it. I wouldn't be down almost 45lbs in a little under 5 months. I feel great!!!! Are you banded yet?

It also helps using a smaller plate so you don't feel like your losing out!!!!!! The full feeling you get now is totally different then before, now its one more bite and that is it your over the edge and not that ahhhhh Im so full but feel like it was totally worth eating all that food. One more bite for me now is either pain, or sliming or vomiting!!! Totally different.

My dr. never said anything about that he sends me to the nutrionist which is with his office she said its fine just whole week Pasta and breads. I eat a little bit of all of it and as long as I chew well I can eat a little bit of all of it. The bread has to be toasted really really well for me to eat that. Hope that helps a bit.

So this is the sweet spot I have heard so much about. So then there is really no need for another fill next week? I love it though not being really able to eat, but at night I am like the cookie monster..hahaha

In the mornings since my last fill Aug. 27th I am so tight in the morning that I am not eating til around 1pm. Is there anything you can do to not feel so full and uncomfortable in the morning. I feel like I ate a full course meal. I do drink a cup of coffee in the morning but that doesn't help at all. What exactly causes this?

I do alot of that on the treadmill, running/walking and going up hill I do all of that the hour I am on there. So let me ask this does the machines at the gym calculate higher calorie burn as your heart rate really increases? Is that how it works?
-
Are you kidding Melissannd? Really in half? I feel like I have been doing all the exercising for nothing!!!!!! Boy I would have to be there for 2hrs just to burn a legit 500 calories!!!! Wow how unmotivating.
-
How long on average is everyone spending in the gym daily, how many days a week and about how many calories are you burning? I spend a little over an hour there about 4 to 5 days a week and burn between 400 and 500 each time but is that enough? And I know the equipment isn't really accurate so should I be doing more?

I drink one cup everyday, black with two splenda's..
