    Bread, Rice & pasta?

    See I was never told to limit my carbs just stay in the limit of the calories and I seem to be losing ok doing that. I will be 5 months out on the 3rd of Oct. and have lost almost 45lbs. That is good for me... As long as I exercise and are careful with my calories it seems to be doing the trick. Everyone is different with carbs and I def. think you should do what your dr. recommends. Just like sometimes I see people on here that were told they can drink soda and I was told never soda again for the rest of my life. It all depends on your dr.

    HELP! Am I too tight?

    I have had 3 fills so far and after everyone of them I am nauseous and usually have diarreha. It usually lasts like 1 or 2 days and then I am fine. I would give it a few days and see if your feeling better.

I had abdominal pain the first 2 days but the pain meds took care of that but then the shoulder pain from gas that was trapped was the worse part and I still get it in my left shoulder every now and then which I never did before. If I could do it all over again I def. would, the pain was so worth it. I wouldn't be down almost 45lbs in a little under 5 months. I feel great!!!! Are you banded yet?
  4. It also helps using a smaller plate so you don't feel like your losing out!!!!!! The full feeling you get now is totally different then before, now its one more bite and that is it your over the edge and not that ahhhhh Im so full but feel like it was totally worth eating all that food. One more bite for me now is either pain, or sliming or vomiting!!! Totally different.

    My dr. never said anything about that he sends me to the nutrionist which is with his office she said its fine just whole week pasta and breads. I eat a little bit of all of it and as long as I chew well I can eat a little bit of all of it. The bread has to be toasted really really well for me to eat that. Hope that helps a bit.
  6. In the mornings since my last fill Aug. 27th I am so tight in the morning that I am not eating til around 1pm. Is there anything you can do to not feel so full and uncomfortable in the morning. I feel like I ate a full course meal. I do drink a cup of coffee in the morning but that doesn't help at all. What exactly causes this?:smile:
  7. So this is the sweet spot I have heard so much about. So then there is really no need for another fill next week? I love it though not being really able to eat, but at night I am like the cookie monster..hahaha
  8. How long on average is everyone spending in the gym daily, how many days a week and about how many calories are you burning? I spend a little over an hour there about 4 to 5 days a week and burn between 400 and 500 each time but is that enough? And I know the equipment isn't really accurate so should I be doing more?
  9. I do alot of that on the treadmill, running/walking and going up hill I do all of that the hour I am on there. So let me ask this does the machines at the gym calculate higher calorie burn as your heart rate really increases? Is that how it works?
  10. Are you kidding Melissannd? Really in half? I feel like I have been doing all the exercising for nothing!!!!!! Boy I would have to be there for 2hrs just to burn a legit 500 calories!!!! Wow how unmotivating.

  12. me too exactly the same and then I over did it last night and had a horrible stuck episode with a peperoni soft pretzel... I need to stay motivated this week, I go back to the dr. next wed the 6th so I want him to see good results so this week I will be cracking down. Like my husband said could you imagine all the weight I would have lost if I didn't pig out at night!!!!!:smile:

That is exactly what happens to me I spend over an hour in the gym and eat around 600 to 700 calories for the day and then night falls and its like I turn into this monster and I just want to eat everything and then I wonder why I don't see the scale moving. Its so aggrevating that I have no self control over this. I just cant seem to talk myself out of eating whatever there is. Its just horrible. There has to be something maybe a fat picture of myself hanging on the fridge or something drastic like that..hahaha
  14. Hello, thanks for responding. I am in Moorestown, NJ. That is about 15 minutes from Philly. Even if we aren't close enough to meet up maybe we can keep each other motivated and going. I am trying to take off the last 30lbs right now and I keep struggling with the same 3lbs up and down. I do great all day long and then around 3pm I am like a food monster and just lose all control and then go completely over my calories for the day and then I sit here wondering why I keep gaining the same 3lbs. I go to the gym 4 to 5 times a day and work hard but the food is killing me.
  15. Has anyone ordered prescriptions from online like from Canada before and had a good experience. The prices are so cheap, I just want to make sure I am getting the real thing.
  16. I had my third fill on 8-27 and I am at 5.66cc's now and I think I am finally at good restriction. I have been stuck about 3 or 4 times since then where I actually had to vomit to feel better. I also get that feeling sometimes when I am eating where it kind of feels stuck but like you I believe it is that signal that enough is enough one more bite and you are over the limit. I am learning to listen to this and not eat not even one more bite and then I am fine. I have lost 10lbs since my last fill which is awesome so when I go back on the 6th I don't think I will need any more at this time. Good luck on your journey and learn to listen to your body and you will be fine and also, CHEW CHEW CHEW AND SMALL PIECES!!!!

  18. I am so happy, I got out of the shower today and hopped on the scale and it said 149!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled, I don't have alot of people to tell most everyone the excitement has worn off and they really could care less anymore so I am telling all my LBT friends!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hit my goal weight!!!!:blushing:
  19. I am 4 months out and just recently have been experiencing really bad gas and bloating. I feel so bloated I can explode. Anyone have the same thing and any tips or remedies for this??:blushing:

    ????? questions!!!!

    I would like to hear the answer to this as well. I was banded May 3rd and I have had 3 fills so far a total of 5.66'cc and sometimes I feel tight and can't eat that much but other times I feel like I can eat anything. For me at night is the worse time I feel like I can just eat everything in the house.

    How often do you exercise

    I was doing 3 to 4 days but the past 2 wks I have up'd going to the gym to 6days b/c I need to see the scale move and I lowered my calories.
  22. Its been 4 months since surgery today, I have lost exactly 40lbs today and I am loving my band. I have not had so much energy in about 8yrs and I can actually make it up a flight of stairs without being out of breathe.. this was the best decision I have made!!!! I have about 25-30lbs to go and there is no doubt that I can make it!!!!! I had a tough few weeks where I lost nothing at all and actually gained but I cut some calories and up'd the workout at the gym and now back on track!!!!!! I actually lost 7 of those lbs just since last friday and am so happy about that!!!

    Surgical glue

    I was banded the beg. of May and I had the glue and it took awhile for mine to completely come off and mine was very itchy and I had red little bumps all over. The dr. gave me an antibiotic but it ended up just being an allergic reaction to something.
  24. Wow Madam Butterfly, I guess my dr. is a little more aggressive with fills. During surgery I had .66cc's then first fill was June and he put in 4cc's but had to take one out it was too much and then the 2nd fill was July and he put 1cc in and then my last one was this past Fri and he put another 1cc in so I am up to 5.66cc's and I finally feel restriction.
  25. I was banded in May as well and have lost almost 40lbs so far. For a few weeks I fell off the wagon and went back to some of my old eating habits but now I am back on track I had a fill on Friday and am up to 5.66cc's and feel really good at that and have lost 5lbs since than. I have cut my calories from 1200 to about 900 and I think that is why the weight is coming off and I am the gym for an hour at least 4 or 5 days a week. I have been going to the gym all along but the eating was getting out of control so now that I have both in check I seem to be doing well. For breakfast I have a piece of toast and a smidget of margarine on there and a cup of coffee and then for lunch today I had a little bit of tuna with low fat mayo, on 1 piece of toast with a fat free slice of cheese... IT WAS SOOOO GOOD!!!!! but I think the fill has made all the difference I can't eat much... GOOD LUCK IN YOUR JOURNEY!!!
