  1. I have my dr. appt today for another fill and last Friday I was 144lbs like I posted on here I was so excited and then today bam up to 148 again. I was so excited for the dr. to see my great progress and now its not so good. I even have up'd my exercise routine and have been burning an extra 100 to 150 calories each workout this week so far. Sooo aggravated but I guess its all a part of the process.

will I loose my current friends?

I am still going through the same thing with my best friend. She said all the same things to me and still does now that I have lost almost 50lbs. I also cannot share all my excitement when I lose weight with her because also afraid it will push her away. At this point I have learned that I am not really worried about it anymore and if our friendship dissolves then it really wasn't worth it to begin with. It is to the point that when she asks me what size I am in I find myself saying well I think the tag is a lie or every pair of pants are made differently!!! What kind of crap is that I should be so excited and able to tell her. Is it really worth it?????? HMMMM???

200 pounds lost, 34 more to go!

    Would love to see pictures
  4. I love my gym there is such a mixture of all body types, I never feel weird!!!!! Maybe that isn't the right gym for you.
  5. I am so happy I don't know what it is about hitting this particular number when I got up this morning and saw the number on the scale it is going to make my whole day!!!!! 24lbs left to go to reach my final goal!!!! If I could go back and this all over again I def. would but don't get me wrong I bust my butt everyday in the gym. I try and eat the right things (sometimes slip) I have not weighed this amount in about 9yrs. HAPPY DAYS AHEAD!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY. Healthy once again!!!:smile2:
  6. Thanks I will definitely try those, thanks for advice. Do you think that could be the last place I will lose weight in? Or do you think that may be it for my arms and I will just have to deal with it?

  7. Hey Brad, I love reading your posts but I have question maybe you have the answer to. What is the best exercise for your triceps? This may sound like a stupid question but I have about 24lbs left to lose and my arms are still crazy flabby and I do the machines for your triceps three times a week but I don't see any change, do you have any exercises that I may see more results???

  8. Here are my before and after pictures that I have. Before 191lbs day of surgery and today 144lbs!!!! 24 more lbs to go!!!YAY
  9. Actually tomorrow will be 5 months out!!!!! Yes I exercise 4 to 5 times a week and I try to do it for at least an hour a day. I have gone from a size 16 to I think I am a 10 or a little less.....Very excited!!!! Thank you!!!

    Nervous!!

My surgeon actually doesn't tell me about calorie intake he works with a nutrionist in his office and she is fine with 1200 a day or a little less. I try and stay around 1000 sometimes a little more and thats even tough to do but I see the weight coming off and I exercise 5days a week. I only lost 4lbs the last time I seen him 6wks ago and he just said thats ok just try harder this time around so I go back on Wed. and I have lost so far 14lbs so he should be really happy with that but I also have had 3 fills so far and am at 5.66cc's and feel pretty good. Just hang in there and once you have better restriction it does get easier..

    My before and after

  12. Is there a way to send a picture from your cell phone to have it loaded on here without a wire, just by messaging to here. I can't find my computer wire and would like to post a before and after.
  13. I don't have many before or afters. I do have on while I was waiting on my surgery day in my gown and I must take one today and I will post!!!!!!!
  14. I have had the same reaction from my best friend all she kept saying after I started losing some weight when I was banded ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WATCH YOUR CALORIES, well if it was that easy I would be thin and so would she!!!!! Now all she can say is how jealous she is that I only have 24lbs more to go!!!! Look I am in the gym 4 or 5 days a week for over and hr each day and I try and eat what I am supposed to, I am in pain if I eat a little too much or too fast, too big of a bit or I vomit!!!!! I have to put out a ton of money for new clothes(WHICH I AM NOT COMPLAINING) We have to go every couple of weeks and have a huge needle stuck in our port and in my case no numbing meds he just does it.. So easy way out I don't think so at all we just want to be healthy and be able to live!!!!!!! :smile2:
  15. Had a small Wendy's chili!!!! Soooo good.

    Why exercise??????????

How long have you been banded? I still slack off every now and then it will be 5 months the 3rd of Oct. I try to do 4 or 5 days a week at the gym but sometimes it just doesn't happen. The important thing is we get back on the wagon the next day... Good Luck..
  17. I was banded May3rd and I have lost 44lbs so far I didn't have a preop diet so nothing before. My weight loss seemed a little slow in the beginning but has picked up pretty well since my last fill in Aug. I go back next Wed. and not sure if I even need another fill so we will see, 27lbs to go and they will prob. be the hardest to get off!!!!

    Exercise and Hunger

I don't eat before the gym, my band is way too tight in the morning so I have a cup of coffee and off I go. I do about and hour or a little more there and am home by 9:45am and then I most of the time don't eat until around 12 or 1pm b/c my band is usually still tight. I have tuna fish, soup, salad or something like that and then I usually get in almost all my calories at dinner. I too have a problem with snacking but that is usually around 8pm I have been controlling the past few night but it was out of control. Good luck.

    Why exercise??????????

I totally agree with everything you said!!!! What happens also when all the weight comes off with no kind of exercise you are left with a bunch of saggy skin, who wants to go through all this and then have that!!!!! That was a great post!!!
  20. Well Tues was a really good day, I ate pretty well no horrible eating at night. I have to admit sometimes I am not the best eater and would lose so much more if I just stuck to what I am supposed to be eating. I eat, alot of chicken, sometimes steak with salad. I eat almost anything. I def. exercise about 4 or 5 times a week for a little over an hr. most days. I feel so good afterward but when I am eating crappy the exercise doesn't do much, thats the way I feel anyway. For some reason since banding it seems like I am craving cakes, pastries and stuff like that. Never was big on them before but now I can't get enough. Go figure!!!!!lol
  21. Well you should be proud of yourself that you lost that much so far!!!!!! YAY!!! and you bought a bike, another YAY!!!!! You can do this and we are all here to support you, just keeping thinking you CAN!!!!!!!
  22. I did too, especially I know its doesn't sound like alot I had about 71lbs to lose to get to goal but you know what I could not do it on my own, I had high blood pressure and just felt like crap for alot of years and was sick of it. I am so glad I got banded and trust me it is still alot of work you have to exercise and eat as healthy as possible but you can do it if you put your mind to it. Its a whole new way of life, I wouldn't change it. Let us know how it goes with your visit.
  23. Well good luck tomorrow at the dr. and just do alot of research on the band. This website is so full of information it is awesome. Whatever you choose I am sure you will make the right decision for you.
