  1. H O O R A Y !! The store REALLY does value their reputation!! Im so thrilled you followed thru!! Im sure they will get it corrected. It just takes the committment to let the right people know!!
  2. Having my masses out and uterus out was the best thing Ive done so far. I got to keep my ovaries. I had a 10inch horizontal incision and was home in 48hrs and actually went back to work in 3wks- I would suggest staying off 4wks.! The pain was minimal!! The lack of menses is heavenly!! Good luck to you!!
  3. So glad things went well. I like to see that its really not that bad. I have spoken to anesthesia this evening and Im scheduled for 0930 in the am!! I am ready- really no appetite and certainly no last meal- I dont want to create problems for tomorrow!! I have taken a moderate dose of simethicone and have some for tomorrow. As soon as I am awake I will be UP AND MOVING!!:clap2:
  4. my target is 60-80total per day Rda for 140# female is 50gm.

  9. Ultimately the choice is yours! I was not candidate for RNY- My dh had RNY has had NO complications, NO dumping, Can eat anything he wants, could get by on sub lingual b12 he prefers the shot. In the event of starvation or huge complications his could be reversed since his stomach is still there just not his main route. YES it is a bigger surgery and Yes the recovery is longer but MOST people do fine. The surgeons prefer the bypass since lots of patients are non-compliant as is true in most of life. The bypass does not require the amount of dedication that the band does, it is more forgiving to weight gain for bad food choices because of the malabsorption. This is a lapband support board and most here will be in favor of lapband, if you go to obesityhelp.com most will be in support of bypass. WLS is a VERY PERSONAL decision not to be entered into lightly by anyone for any of the procedures! ALL have successors and people who do not succeed!! GOOD LUCK in what ever YOU decide and remember the decision is YOURS!!
  10. Yeah!! Glad everything went well!! Heal quickly best wishes for a speedy recovery!!

  13. Welcome to LBT!! Productive burp- it is when you have food that comes back up. There is a abbreviations section with most of the abbreviations listed under the lapband FAQ and references that will make your life on LBT make more sense!!
  14. I think you can do it! Everyone is so busy shoving food in ( as I have Watched preparing for mine) that they do not notice you are not eating. As for the lunch bunch order soup!! Women usually eat lighter infront of each other- and if they notice tell them you have had to drastically cut back at the threat of your doctor! Im not telling either and I AM going to pull this off- I may tell later and I wont lie "Drastically Cutting back" is not a lie. Or Im having to make some major lifestyle changes- thats the truth also!! Good Luck
  15. That is my surgeons only requirement for me- BUT had I been what he calls supersize bander 300+, I would have the preop liquid diet and wt loss requirement. So for that Im thankful Im just MO not superMO. Good Luck!
  16. That is SOOO exciting to finally get a date!! It will pass in no time! Good luck and congradulations!!
  17. I like to use string cheese, and roll sandwich meat around them and even a lettuce leaf to use as the wrapper. Those cheese singles make a great on the go snack as do the yogurt. Its all about staying ahead of the game and being prepared- PLUS it is a TON cheaper than pulling thru the fast food. Prepackaged meals and frozen dinners are a better bad choice when fresh is not available and you will be glad you did it. Take 1 hour and shop and package for the week- Good Luck. You can do it!!
  18. I cant do the liquid- the smell gets me first then the iron taste. Yuck. Flintstone chewables for me. I even found a zinc wafer and a decent b12 this in efforts to minimize hair loss as described on another thread.
