I'm having the same problem. I've had my back go out on me a couple times before, and it's not fun. I prop my pillows up so I am semi-sitting up while laying a little on my right side. (Port is on my left, but I've really never had a problem with that area). I also have a body pillow or regular pillow to put against my stomach. This seems to help me. The one thing that really ached, was my shoulders! Drives me crazy when I am trying to get some sleep!! I hope this helps you, and remember, we are all in this together!:sifone:

I'm surprised you got a fill that quickly. My doctor and most of what I've read you usually are waiting a couple weeks after surgery. I'm sure every doctor is different = ) I hope everything goes good for you from now on!:sifone:

This is Shari = ), forgot my password and couldn't get a new one to work. I want to thank everyone for their advice. I did have surgery on Jan. 28 and I can't tell you how much of what you all had told me came in handy. I am so glad I did it...I can't wait for the skinny person inside of me to come out!:sifone:

I wish the anesthesiologist hadn't said I needed an epidural, cause I didn't! I was so nervous the day before surgery, it was awful, couldn't sleep at all!
Can I eat pasta?

I realize it is a carbohydrate and it's probably one of the many things that got me into trouble, but is it allowed once we are on solid food?
