I am from Alabama. I got my band August 11 by Dr. DeWitt!!! How are yall doing so far??:biggrin1:

I am so glad that we have this thread for August banders!! I have the hiccups all the time--and it hurts!! Not really sure why?? What all can you all eat on the mushies stage?? Right now I can only have mashed potatoes and eggs. It's getting very boring--need someth new!!

I was banded August 11! I was wondering how much exercise you all can do?? I am afraid that I am already not exercising enough??!

Hey!! Yes I still have tenderness in my port area --I'm 7 days out!!They say it will get better!!! I hoping!! I do not drink any juice!! I am living off of Propel!! flavored water is great too!! At night I have some skim milk for a snack! Hope this helps!!

I had my surgery Aug. 11. I am doing well, except for the soreness around my port and band!! I am wondering if that will ever go away!! The first couple of days I had AWFUL gas pains and thought they would never leave, but they do!! I still do not sleep on my side. It is uncomfortable, but I am hoping that I will be able to again one day!! Good Luck to everyone!!!:gluck:

I am doing very good! Not 100% yet, but almost there!! I walked last night 50 minutes and that was the best thing I ever did! My plans are to start walking for at least 45 minutes a night!!

Hey everyone! I am new to the whole lap band deal-- I was banded Friday, August 11!! I started back to school Wednesday and back to work Thursday!! I am 20 years old! I am very interested in talking with anyone about Lap Band!!! I have lost 4 lbs. so far?! I thought for sure I would have lost more!! Anyways--I look forward to talking to everyone!!!

Hi! I was just banded Aug. 11! I am glad you have your psych appt. scheduled because my doc failed to see that I did not have mine! It was a big mess! Hope all goes well!! If you need anything, just ask!!!

My diet consisted of low carb high Protein for a week and the last 2 days was all liquids! Even though my surgery was posponed for a day, I was on liquids for 3 days!! I was starving, so I had Tomato soup! :hungry: I thought that was such a treat!! The night before surgery I had to drink the "Roto-Rooter" drink which was NO fun!!
