Yeah my new dr said the complications after two years are so common now and they don't even do them anymore. She said maybe one a year. She takes our more. It's sad really.

You have to qualify for a revision too so yeah you probably wouldn't. I got in very quickly too. I am happy with the sleeve. It's so different it's crZy.

Ask for an upper GI. I forgot to mention. I had gained all of my weight back plus 6 lbs and found out I was pre diabetic again even eating the right things! I have anthem blue cross now so from the day I met my new dr the end of October to my surgery date of December 17th my band was out. They don't keep it in long after they see its eroded so if it is mo be prepared to decide what you want to do. I would research it all again so you know your options.

Mo-I had no idea that mine had eroded I thought because I gained weight from the baby I was just tight. But I was basically throwing up /PBing everything I would eat even sliders which is the opposite of erosion but at the same time I felt like I was always hungry and and couldn't eat enough. So when I went in and had the upper GI done they saw I had a hiatal hernia which was causing me to throw up and the band had eroded which is what was attributing to be weight gain and intense hunger. So when they offered me the sleeve I took it. I'm so glad I did. 4 weeks post op and I'm down 32 lbs. I spent two years being miserable with the band not being able to eat and always being hungry. It was a losing battle for me.

Yeah everyone is at different stages so that's nice to read that others are going through the same thing.

I will take you up on that. I am also part of a Facebook support group for all surgeries but im finding there a lot more rny. It's bariatric bad girls club weight loss support group. It's been helpful as well. If you have facebook you should check into it too.

I actually had no idea it was erroded. I just couldn't eat anything without throwing it up. I just chalked it up to the weight gain with the pregnancy. I love the sleeve so far and am only a month out so im still learning my hunger cues and when I'm full. I start my full regular diet this week so it's anything I can tolerate. I also haven't had kaiser. I actually lost it a month after surgery when moved to Washington and was just going to fill centers. When I moved back to CA I got anthem bluecross and have had 2 amazing drs. I also have a hard time with support now that I'm sleeved because I know only my band sisters. I ask my friend who has rny a lot of questions but I'm finding out how different things are between the two surgeries. It would be nice to talk to people who have gone through what I'm beginning to.

Wow I was surprised to get emails that this board was still going!! How are you ladies?? I had my band removed on 12/17/14 because it has erroded and I had a hiatal hernia. I got revised to the sleeve. So far so good. I was off track for so long because I had all of my Fluid removed when I got pregnant. I was empty for over two years and when I went to go get some put back in my dr did an upper GI and saw the issues. I was honestly so happy to get the band out!! But yea the brain is the hardest part of this whole thing.

Hey all just wanted to say hello....I started working a month ago and have been so exhausted at night its crazy. My eating has pretty much sucked but I have lost a few. Got a gym membership again so that has me a little more motivated. I miss everyone and wish I could have made the walk.. maybe next time. Hope everyone is great!!!!

Hello Hello!!! I LOVE seeing everyones pics and beautiful faces!! GOSH I miss EVErYONE!!! I am going to also plan to be there on the 14th of May. I NEED my support team back for sure. Its refreshing to know tho that I am not the only one who is living life and going thru the ups and downs of this Band....

After moving to WA Tam Tam and I busted ass together and did weight watchers /1200 cal diet and I lost 20 lbs. I got another fill in Sept of last year and that put me up to 7cc's (she put in 7.5 but that was too much). I definately dont think I need a fill until I lose 10-15 more lbs. I PB a lot more then I ever thought I could or would. I have noticed tho its mostly if I dont eat the first meal until later in the day or I chew too big or too fast. There was a point I thought I was too tight and wanted to get some Fluid out...I had a rough time also where I wanted to get it all out.. I was tired of not being able to hold anything down... But instead of letting it get me down I lost another 12 lbs. So as of now I am in the 180's and stuck... Thats ok tho.. I remember where I was a year ago at this time and I would take where I have come over that anyday.

Seeing you girls and John on here again has given me motivation to get my ass back in gear.. NO MORE Cookies ( my new weakness) The hubby and I are ready to start a family and with less then 30 lbs till goal its time to get back to the basics and I cant do it without my awesome support group!! Love you all. Miss you and cant wait to see you.

Chrissy is in recovery. She went in at 8 this am and was out by 9:30. Surgery went perfect. April and Dave are there with her. She did great!! Just wanted to let everyone know.

Hey all long time no post for me! Hope you are all doing good. Man that was a lot of reading and I still havent been able to get through it all but I wanted to give ya'll a quik update.

So hubby and I are slowly getting adjusted to life here in WA. We absolutly love it. We found a house to rent in the downtown area of Anacortes. It so darn cute. Little single family one bedroom. Its older which I love so lots of unique kwirks to it. We are hoping to move in by the 23rd of this month. I will post some pics once we are all settled in. Rob got another fulltime job to help since the painting thing is a little slow. There has only been a few nice days so far and it should pick up in the next month or so, but for now he will just work the painting into his new work schedule. I am absolutly loving my job. My boss said he would like to try and get me some more hours which will be nice. Although I am loving the 5 hours a day right now lol. I have so much day left when I get off work its nice to get stuff done, and it doesnt get dark until 10 here so that makes it really nice.

Weight is still the same but thats not due to the band, its due to my bad and stupid choices. Although this fill gave me good restriction I havent been choosing the best options. I think once we are in our own place and I can go back to cooking MY meals it will start going down again. We are also going to get back into the gym. Im not stressed really this is not going to happen over night so I take each day as they come.

Other than that things are great. Im so glad we moved here its been the best thing for the both of us. I do miss everyone there tho. I tried to find a support group here and a lady responded to me and said they tried it a long time ago but it didnt catch on so I guess im flying solo. Thats ok, the support Rob gives me is great (he gets mad if I dont order the right things and tries to correct me) lol. Anyways....Just wanted to drop a line and say hi to all!!! Miss you!!

Hey hey hey all.

Ok so I know I have asked this question a million times but where do I get the Restaruant card for the kid menu? Now with the fill I am totally eating less than a kids portion. And if I do go out to eat I really dont want to waste money. Not planning on eating out but Just in case. I made stuffed bells tonight and ate about 3 oz if not less of the filling (I dont use rice) and was stuffed. Im down 8 lbs already and its amazing.... I cant believe this is what a fill is supposed to feel like lol...

Pam, im so happy you have lost 11 lbs thats AWESOME!!! I know how hard you have worked!!!

So day 1 with my fill has been good. Had a little bit of an episode last night. I took my zoloft and sat down to watch a movie and BAMB I started slimming REALLY bad, I went into the bathroom to see if it was going to come up and of course it didnt. So an hour and a half later I was done slimming. Man that was the most horrible experience I have had so far but now I know how little of bites I have to take. Needless to say I am going to break my pill in half from now on until I lose some weight. Had a Protein Shake for Breakfast because I was so tight (that has NEVER happened) was full until about 3 so when I got home I ate 3 slices of turkey deli meat and 2 slices of cheddar cheese and was STUFFED!!! My brain is back in action for sure... Wasnt hungry at dinner so I just had some bran Cereal. Even tho thats a slider I got full on a small bowl. So I am thinking that my fill is AWESOME!! Will be updating my ticker soon once the scale starts goin down again. YAY.

Pat hows your fill workin for you? What meals are you eating? I have been cooking my meals from the 1200 cal diet for my husband and his uncle so Im going to try to eat a little bit from that and see how that works.

Tam Tam you will be ok. Just be real and tell them what you are going through.

Candra I am so proud you have gotten bit by the workout bug..Can you send it my way I am a slaker when it comes to exercise now. I was so gung ho at the beginning, called myself a gym rat now not so much lol. I have two videos that Donna got for me and a ball and some bands but have I used them Ummmm Nope just once each. So i understand the Slakerness lol..

I GOT A FILL!!!! YAY..... It was so awesome! They did a barrium swallow to start with and my Fluid went thru so fast she made me take another sip lol. I got to watch which was so freakin RAD... Then she layed me down and made me do a crunch and took out 4 of my 5ccs and then put 2 more on top of that so I was at 7. I got up took a drink and did another xray and it was like molases going down. I was gurgling and feeling some pressure so she decided to take 1 cc back out because 2 was too much. So now I am at 6cc's YAY... I am so freakin happy.

So I brought my binder with me and both of the ladies were in shock at the fact I didnt get a fill at my 6 weeks. Their way is, if you havent lost anything in 3 weeks you need a fill. SO if I lose and then platue come back because im ready for more. SHe seems to think one more fill and I will be at my sweet spot. They gave me a packet to take home that has a totally different view on this whole thing. They said they dont even allow toast... SO since I am no longer with Kaiser I am going to follow their plan and see how it goes. They were also totally shocked that the Dieticion has a say on who gets a fill or not. Crazy!! I am on liquids tonight and then I can try to eat in the am. They measured me and weighing in was MY decision. I am so happy I found this place. I left my binder there because they wanted to read it. Lol...

It really does motivate you when you feel like you have a support system who believes in you instead of walking out of the Dr office wanting to cry.....

So yeah thats my big news... Im ready to ROCK THIS BAND......

I am going to bring my binder so I can show them my pics and stuff about my band. I hope this will finally give me some more restriction. YAY Cant wait.

Robbie and I are going to lay low and rent a movie tonight, we are both tired (and its only Tuesday)....UGH. WOrk is nice tho since I only work 10-3 I still have so much of the day left and it doesnt get dark until after 9 here so even better.

So Im finally wathing the scale drop again. Down back to where I was when I saw the doc at my 6 weeks. ( I had gained 6 lbs back) Anyways, it sure is nice. I still dont have restriction but I stop when I think Im full which is about 1 cup of food or so... We will see. I go to the fill center in the next town over on Thursday which I am super excited for. They will do a barrium swallow and then a fill. She asked me what I had in my band and I told her I was told over 5 so who knows for sure. I told her that I had lost 15 lbs since surgery and at my 6 weeks I had only lost 2 lbs in one month and her exact words were "WOW you are definatly ready for a fill" So IDK why every where is so different. I asked her if they can tell me exactly how much is in my band and she said of course. Curious to see. She said once they fill me if within 2 weeks I still dont have good restriction they will give me another fill for $50 so thats good to know. Im looking forward to finally maybe feeling some restriction. Wish me luck lol.

Its a beautiful day here in Anacortes, like 63... OMG its so awesome tho. My first week of work went great! I think I am going to fit in just fine there. They all know already I have the band because I had a slight PBIng incident because I didnt chew good. I was sitting at my desk eating and working and yeah just wasnt paying attention. BIG NO NO!! So they all kinda wondered WTH I was doing lol. Oh well.

Robbie and I are going to look at a place tonight, its someone his uncle knows who owns it and said if we like it we can have it for A$500 a month WOW.... IDK we will see it tonight at 5pm.

How is everyone. I miss all of you so darn much. I might just have to make a suprise appearance sometime soon!!!

Hubby and I were going to go for a drive along the coast this weekend and to Forks but we have to watch the doggies so we are going to go next weekend. YAY. I cant wait!!

Thanks for all the well wishes I miss everyone already hehehe. Sittin in my new home with my kitty cat!! The drive was 17 hours and yes I was going to die at about hour 15. But we made it fine. It was dark when we got in so I didnt really know what I was in for but let me tell you in the morning all I could say was WOW!! It is absolutley beautiful here. Im on a freakin Island... CRAZY. I feel like I am in Fort Bragg or Santa Cruz, thats pretty much the only way to even begin to describe it.. We drove around and went house hunting a little bit today. For now we are staying with Robbies uncle, we have our own little space and its good for now.. lol. I start my new job on Monday and I am so ready. Already got everything unpacked that we need. so thats nice, I can finally relaxe. I feel like im Bella from Twilight LMAO!!!! Robbie said I can ride on his back and pretend He is Edward and I am Bella and we will ride through the forest. LMAO.....

I will be posting pics soon. I promise. I have taken a bunch already but I think we are going to go explore some more tomorrow.
