I am doing that right now, I was banded on 10-13 and have lost 57lbs, went away on vacation and knew i wouldnt lose - i had ice cream twice and quite a few nuts that i snacked on all day long - now i am home and the scale is still not moving, and my head knows it is most likely a plateau, i really dont think i need a fill, but i find myself getting down right pissed off that i cant eat anymore -- and i force that one last bite it and thats the one that sends me running for the bathroom.. it is always that last bite!! then i get pissed about that too... im not sure what do to about it but try every day to keep moving forward.
  2. Found myself very hungry today and able to eat more than I should.. I know i dont need a fill because sunday night at dinner i was able to eat very little of my dinner - I think i might actually be noticing slider foods now - todays lunch and dinner was left over dinner from last night - I am thinking that it can be considered a slider - its ground beef cooked and placed in the bottom of a baking dish, a can of creamed corn over that and mashed potatoes over that -- thinking that it is sliding through and thats why ive been hungrier today than i have in a while.. what do you all think?

Hi Guys, I went away on vacation - went to Florida to visit family - i think my eating was pretty good, i did indulge in ice cream twice while i was there - I have not stepped on the scale since the day i left which was the 15th since i only use the scale at work.. i am going back to work tomorrow and will use it then,, i am hoping i did ok while i was away......

    Thanks everyone!!! Sassy I upped my Protein by adding back in the shakes i had stopped using in the am - i had gotten into a bad habit of a cup of coffee and that was it for Breakfast.. so now ,, breakfast is shake lunch salad usally with some sort of lunch meat cut up into it usually chicken dinner is a meat and veggie of some sort and dinner is when i allow myself some potatoes or rice - something like that -- Im pretty basic.. lunch this week has been a ham and onion quiche, crustless.. it was an old stand by back in my atkins days cause it is basically carb free.. I am also going away so i dont want to go grocery shopping and this is what i had in the house haha.

I am totally blown away at the speed of loss this past week with my fill and upping protien - yesterday i weighed in at 55 gone.. today i stepped on the same scale to see if i held onto that loss,, to see another 2 lbs gone for a total of 57!! I may hit 60 before i see my dad if things keep up this way lol -- just had to share!!!! umping for joy here. PS !! My BMI is below 40 now too!!
  8. Upped my protein with shakes, got a fill and im down another 3 since wed of last week for a total of 55!! Feeling TOTALLY awesome right now! And just in time to visit my dad who hasn't seen me since a year before surgery.
  9. Hi all, I had my six month post op appointment on thursday,, 6 months will be this tuesday, -- I am down 52lbs since surgery and 63 since the process started in Jan of 09. I got a .5cc fill on thursday bringing me to 5.5cc in a 10cc band, my PA says i am doing great and is happy with my progress. However, my blood work was so so,, my cholesterol went up a bit - but she isnt worried yet we will see what it is at 1 year post op. My Iron is very low -- they were talking infusion, but since im not showing signs of anemia other than fatigue they prescribed a iron Vitamin c combo since C helps your body absorb the iron. my Vitamin D was also low, so i have added a Vit D vitamin once a day. I have been taking Flintstones chewable but will be switching to something different,, ( any suggestions? ) All in all I am fairly happy - weight loss is never as fast as you want it, but i saw some friends i have o seen in a long time this weekend and they were pretty great at telling me how much they saw a difference.. some of who didnt know what i had done, one asked can i ask how you are doing it?? So im feeling pretty good today. Time to go update the ticker to reflect my 52 gone :confused:

  12. I took my daughter to the mall friday night - she has some cash burning a hole in her pocket and needed to spend it on clothes. While i was there i figure what the hell and tried on a ton of clothing -- for the most part was pretty happy with the experience -- I stayed away from pants, because that is where i always have the hardest time and is the part to shrink the slowest and i didnt want to ruin my good mood lol.... but shirts were free game - at sears 20-22 were a little too loose and the 16-18 according to my daughter looked good, but since i have lived my life in baggy clothes i just couldnt bring myself to buy them,, not comfortable with the form fitting stuff yet lol - did need a few tanks to wear under tops i had already and had to *gasp* go into the REGULAR womens section for them - HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused::thumbup::thumbup: Also had to buy new bras! went down from a 44dd to a 42dd - I am thrilled --husband is :tongue: lol -- hoping they continue to shrink and that the ass will catch up to the top part of me lol
  13. I did mine to the T - Liquids for 2 weeks but that also included thin soups like tomatoe and jello - then mushie for 2 weeks,, pudding, yogurt,mashed potatoes,tuna and deviled ham ect ect, then onto regular food
  14. I have been craving french toast -- and I know that I will never be able to eat them again - it makes me very sad :thumbup:
  15. Yep-- I had mine the week before and it was gone by surgery day -- and i restarted DURING surgery -- *embarrassed* Nurse was great though and said it was totally normal for things like that to happen with surgery and anesthesia

Going for my 6th month follow up today and hopefully a fill --weigh loss has been small and slow the last few weeks,, bounce into the 50lb club only to be kicked out and fight my way back in to get kicked out again.. viscous cycle ill tell ya 5-6 weeks ago I was unable to tolerat a .5cc fill.. but i need it now -- able to eat a little more than the cup at meals,, and i would be ok with that except im hungry again 2 hrs later lol wish me luck today

  19. Im here to vent because I know what you all are going to say !! I finally hit 50lbs gone monday morning - was estatic,, happy,, felt like i was moving on forward.. today I am up 2!! WTH! Cant say i know why - no idea what im doing wrong,, could possibly need a fill but im onthe edge where a fill could be too much.. is it the salt from the btl i had for dinner? today i am really wishing i had bipass.

So i have 5cc in a 10cc band,, I "think" i have good restriction I can eat very small amounts for lunch - and a little more at dinner time. -- my full feeling is usually uncomfortable.. thats how i know im done... I am still trying to get the hang of eating slow and chewing well, it is alot harder than i thought it would be.. my issue is i am usually hungry before the 4 hour mark - so im trying to decide.. is my loss slow because i need a fill, or do i need to eat more and add in Snacks. my meal today to give you an idea... Protein Shake for Breakfast. Lunch was some deli chicken over salad with some Italian dressing. ( 1.5 cup) lunch was a broc and cheese calzone type thing - 1 cup roughly... the thing is i was hungry again about 3 hrs ,, took another small piece of dinner but feel it sitting right at the top lol.. last fill i tired to get she gave me .5cc and i ended up havng to have it taken out before i even left the office. trying to decide what to do when i go Thursday for my 6 month follow up.
  22. I never had knee problems before the band aside from the lyme disease i had... I joined the local gym in january and have been kicking butt there most weeks.. it seems i have done something to the muscles and tendons in both knees.. with swelling and pain.. my dr said to stay off the eliptical , bike and tredmille for 1 week.. which i did.. to no relief.. -- to i spoke with the dr again today and i have been instructed to stay off those machines for at least 3 weeks :thumbup: so what now?? i can do the free weights,, and some leg exercises that wont agrivate the knee and i can swim -- none of which are cardio :thumbup:(((( The upside,, i reclaimed my 50lb loss this morning.
  23. I would not eat - everything is irratated from the pbing and being stuck - they say do 2 days of liquids after something like that ... for tonight,, i would cut it up and move it around and pretend you are eating lol..but i wouldnt risk it.

    Congrats!!!! You and I are on the same boat !!! I just reclaimed 50lb today and I have 32 to go until onerland!
