I, too, work in a school and have always had that problem. All very good, counselor!!! You will do it. How are you doing so far? Any problems? How long till you felt yourself after surgery? Are you still sore? Tell me everything.... -

About your picture. Go to Customize Profile. On the right is Edit Avatar. Click. Scroll all the way down. Pick Option 2 and Browse for your picture on your computer. Find it and upload it. Let me know if this works.

Welcome Newcomers!! Boy we have a lot of new people. So glad to have you. Be sure to join our group under Communities...Social Groups. Everyone be sure to vote in our December Bandster Poll thread for our name and/or motto. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was my Last Supper. Now I'm just dieting. My doc doesn't require a preop diet. But does require I lose 10 lbs. I have found, not having the preop diet, I am just maintaining. I think on Monday I'll do the liquid diet with one meal a day because I weigh in a week from Monday. We will see. Thanks to all for the suggestions with the shakes. -
Go to Ticker factory.com and create your ticker. Then copy and paste it into your signature. When you are on your homepage...go to Customize Profile...then click on edit signature. Paste the ticker into your signature box. Then save it. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help. Always willing to help.

My Last Supper is tomorrow night with Thanksgiving. Even though my surgery is not until Dec. 22nd I plan on being "real good" after tomorrow. I even bought two bottles of wine ! I am not serving gravy or rolls though. And I will share the wine...maybe...:frown:. But I did buy pumpkin pie, which is my favorite food. After tomorrow maybe I should throw the rest away :thumbup:. If I leave it for the rest of the family I know I'll eat it :wink:. Anyway, everyone have a lovely day tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving!!! -

Welcome nurseab24 and electrawoman. I have no problem with electrawoman being on the 30th. Like KarenA said, "close enough". This is a very positive group and we are happy to have you. As for the smoking...I think I'm over it. It's been 13 days with no smoke and the doctor said if you smoke ANYTHING he'll be able to tell. They don't just check for nicotine. They look at how your blood platelets attach themselves to the walls. Smoking anything changes this process and can cause a pulmonary embolus. You can post where ever you like. I'll be posting here and also in group. So, pick your pleasure. But I'd like everyone to join to group so we can have a list of everyone. I like all your ideas, electrawoman, for our names. I agree with KarynA that we should have a poll. Before I figure out how to do that, does anyone have any further suggestions on a name for our group? I'll post this question on our Group's postings too. Have a great day! -

My therapist would not approve me. She didn't think is was a good idea for me and said she had no experience with the band. So, I went to an eating disorder specialist therapist. I told her everything. Had to go twice, but she approved me. Since then, I have been educating my therapist about the band. She is still somewhat hesitant but is coming around. I suffer from depression and anxiety but it is very under control now. Hope this info helps. My surgery is December 22nd!!! Merry Christmas to me!!!
