Does Dr. Garcia use stitches to close the holes in your stomach? If so, are they dissovable stitches or do I have to get a surgeon back home to remove them?

Arrggghhh!!! Of all the crazy things I thought I had received my passport today, instead it was my birth certificate!!! I cannot believe it came before my passport! Most people on here say they receive their passport first then the birth certificate later. This is just my luck! Hello I'm leaving Monday! Edited to add I just received my passport today 6/15/13! Nothing like waiting till the last minute!

I'm taking it now and I am allowed to take it up until surgery which is Monday. I checked with my doctor.

I really hope not lol. I'm going Monday.

I know how you feel this is my fourth week waiting for my passport and I only have 3 days left until I go! I looked online and said I should get it by Monday, the day I fly out of course. I wonder if my husband can overnight it to my hotel in Mexico? Edited to add that mine is also only the card and not the full passport and is been 4 weeks and I have not received it yet.

I know I'll be on liquids after my surgery but what type of liquids? Clear only? I have a 7 hour flight home and I'm worried about what to"eat". Will I even be hungry or would buying some Gatorade be all I need.

This is what worries me. I've done low carb diets but I eventually stop and gain the weight back. I'm not paying all this money to go on a diet I'm paying it so I will have restriction and not want to eat a lot. Btw I'm going to Garcia to be sleeved Monday and I did read somewhere that your weight loss outcome depends on the skill of the surgeon so it kind of has me worried at 3 months out if you have no restriction.

Delta and dang my flight costs me 843 dollars!!! I wish i could have booked my flight earlier but i didn't have the money until now. I also checked hotwire etc. but the times I needed to leave and return were more expensive on those sites than through Delta.

I'm trying to schedule a flight to San Diego right now for surgery. Do I choose San Diego SAN or San Diego MYF (Montgomery Field). I'm pretty sure it's SAN. Also alma (going with Dr. Garcia) made it sound like when they drive you back to the airport that they will only pick you up after 9am so I'm having a hard time finding a flight back that does not involve an all night flight. I mean one leaves at 1:51pm so I would get back to my airport after midnight.

I'm going alone on June 17th to be sleeved by Dr. Garcia at florence hospital on the 18th. Hoping to meet some people there. I'm getting so nervous now! Also I have not received my passport yet! This week is going on the 4th week of waiting and I'm really worried about it. I leave Monday! I checked the status online and it just keeps saying it's being processed.

I had horrible periods also and birth control didn't help any. I finally had endometrial ablation done and I couldn't be happier. Of course I plan on not having any more children. Pretty much they burn the lining of your uterus. It sounds painful but it's not. No more periods for me!!
