2nd fill.. not a pleasent experience.
Had my 2nd fill today.. now at 5cc. The doctor who did my fill however didn't know what the hell she was doing. I asked for numbing medication and she said "you should've asked me that before we came to xray, it's in the other building". So there she goes poking and proding and she hits a vein.. so blood shoots everywhere, I'm crying like a baby because of the pain. It was awful. Finally they page my surgeon and he brings me the numb stuff thank god.. and after that smooth sailing. Now, I feel so much restriction, which is a good thing... but I get mad hiccups when i eat.. anyone else get that?

Feeling way less than motivated.
Does that somehow make you feel more energized throughout the day? I mean getting up that early. I've heard it helps a lot to get up an hour or two earlier and workout but never tried it. Sounds like a good idea to atleast try lol Thanks!

Feeling way less than motivated.
Actually, that makes perfect sense lol I'm slowly trying to get back on track. Stopped drinking regular drinks again. I was doing so well with it for the first 3 weeks after surgery and then I allowed myself a sip which turned into a glass and then one glass a day and now all the time. I just need to get off my butt and start exercising! :whoo:

Feeling way less than motivated.
So.. I had my surgery on May 9th, had my first fill around a month afterwards and ever sense I've lost no weight. Stuck at a 24 lb loss for 2 months now. At work recently, I had noticed I was short of breath so I went to my doctor yesterday and found out I have high blood pressure. I'm 25 years old, how could that be possible? Luckily, I go for another fill on Sept. 11th but I think what it all boils down to is I need to fit in more exercise but when you work all the time and have to come home to household chores.. where do you find the time? Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal or what helps give you a boost? Thanks Shannon

No restriction after first fill
Yeah, I have to agree... I have no restriction either and before reading this, I thought it was all me and I was feeling pretty down about it. Think I'll call tomorrow and ask for another fill because my weight loss has stopped after my first fill as well

I need support!
well, i haven't really been doing anything out of the ordinary. I'm finding it really hard to even get my protein in and I've exercised maybe 4 times since the surgery. I thought the surgery itself would be a great motivater but I just can't seem to push myself into exercising on a daily basis when deep down i really want to.

I need support!
I've been banded for 2 months now and have lost approx. 30 lbs but I just feel unmotivated and need some extra support. I don't know anyone around my aread that has had this surgery and much less anyone who wants to change their life and become healthy so I'm turning to you guys. PLEASE HELP ME! lol

just got banded
It's probably the swelling that's making your stomach do that.
-
I too am a Bandido now!
I feel your pain. I had to have my husband help me into bed, help me out of bed, and I was even brave enough to try sleeping on my stomach because my back got too stiff and... I got stuck!! I literally had to roll myself off the bed.. lmao

WHAT FOODS GETS STUCK or give you problems?
Most meats for me. Even with gravy or sauce and especially chicken whether it be moist, dry, whatever.. it's all the same but I need the protein so bad so I try to muscle it down. And sometimes bread.

Pills and Supplements
I take Stacker 2's and Yellow Swarms ( over the counter weight loss pills ) and I had been taking them for years before being banded so I'm use to them and I don't get the jittery feeling. Also, I think they do give me that little extra energy that I need to keep going cuz without them I'm lifeless.

HYPERthyroid
me too, Pam but I think she thinks when she's put on medication for overactive thyroid that the meds will make her gain weight back.
-
HYPERthyroid
Well, I can't speak personally because I have HYPOthyroidism but a friend of mine ( without band ) has hyper and even when she was on medications she was still losing weight like crazy ( not that she wasn't already a bean pole anyway )... but I don't think it will effect your weight loss as much as you'd think.

post surgical sexual intimicies
Hi, Well.. I haven't actually attempted that as of yet but I'm almost certain it won't hurt you. I say go ahead and try it because even if someone on here says it's not okay or it is okay, you won't know what will hurt YOU until YOU try it.
