How soon did you have sex post-op?

I'm so glad someone asked this! I've been wondering too, but too shy to ask! Of course, my boyfriend isn't too shy to ask me EVERY DAY - "how long do we have to wait??" haha! I guess it just depends on the pain/pressure, but glad to see it's not WEEKS! :w00t:
  2. This is what I have packed: comfy clothes sports bra chapstick flavored Water meds small pillow for holding against my belly Gas-x strips camera magazines laptop am I forgetting anything???

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

Ketosis is when your body no longer has energy from carbs to burn, so it begins to burn fat instead for energy, which causes "ketones" to form. It is common in high Protein, low carb diets, such as Atkins, and most of our lovely "pre op diets". Sometimes, you will notice a change in your breath, or taste in your mouth. Sometimes sweat and urine smell different. Not necessarily bad, jsut different.
  8. Hey there! Just noticed we're both from good ol' fred! How are you doing?

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

12 DAYS FROM NOW I will be in the recovery room...probably begging for a Big Mac! kidding! I am soooo excited! SO, November Knockouts, how is everybody doing??!
  16. I can't believe it's only 12 days away! I start Optifast on Monday. I was supposed to do it for 2 weeks, but since I am 2 hours from the dr, he said I cant just pick it up at my last pre-op on Monday. But I started to the gym last week and have been watching what I eat, so I am losing a little already. How about you?

    Medication Getting Stuck

Im on a few medications for a chronic disease, unrelated to weight, etc. I am very afraid that my medications will get "stuck" after I have the band. I take 16 of these capsules a day, approx. size is the "metal" tip end of a pencil (not including the eraser). I showed the capsule to my surgeon and he did not seem too concerned, but.... I am! Anyone have any problems with meds going down?
  18. I have Crohn's disease and will soon (2 weeks!!) be having Lap-Band. While searching for posts regarding this, I only found some from several years ago (2006) indicating Lap-Band and Crohn's was a NO NO. My surgeon did not seem worried.... Anyone else out there?
  19. awww.... thanks so much for the compliment! :) You are getting so close - less than a week. I am two weeks from today and even though the process took forever, it got here so fast. I am so thrilled! :)

    Medication Getting Stuck

Thanks! The surgeon doesnt seem too concerned, but I can't open these like other capsules or the medication wont work like it's supposed to. I see you are in Spotsy - strange coincidence - I work in Spotsy!
