    Can someone describe Unjury?

To me they ended up being to sweet except the chocolate splendor one. I have sample packs of the vanilla, strawberry, chicken soup and unflavored that I got in June that I can't handle. So don't like wasting things. I just ordered the starter sample pack and they send you a few packs of their flavors

    Raving about Graham Elliot

Awesome. My husband and I watch him and I go wow that's a big bite he is taking. I did read that he did well with taping and did not get sick from trying any of the food. He looks great and it gives me hope that I can do this also.

    Gallbladder issues

For me to get in all my protein I have to eat 5 small meals a day. I'm 8 weeks out and down 32 lbs. I have some if the same issues since my gallbladder was removed but so far I have been good. I don't eat a lot and sometimes I'm not hungry so I need to eat smaller meals to hit my goals. Talk to your dr and nutritionist to see what they say as well.
  7. I also went thru the same thoughts. My dr wanted to do my revision in Oct last year but I said I need time. I'm now 8 weeks out and feeling so much better. I was nervous the day of surgery but then I was like if I don't do something now I may not be here as ling if I got the surgery done. I wish you all the best
  8. I had mine back on 6/18/14. Got to the hospital at 1030 and went to registration. From there they took my husband and myself to the waiting room. Ended up waiting till 1245 ( up running behind). Got called and was taking back to the pre-op waiting room. Got weighed in, changed into gown, got IV started and asked a bunch if questions. Was someone with me, last time I ate or drank, allergies, etc. at this point my husband was allowed to come and wait with me. My dr came to talk to me and finally was taken to OR at 330 you now 3 1/2 hours behind. Got to the room moved to the operating table and remember them saying ok take a deep breath. Next thing I was waking up in recovery and my back was killing me. I have a old back injury and laying in my back for long periods of time is horrible. Once I was awake they took me to my room. My nurses where great with I. A few hours I was up and walking and sitting in the chair. Nurses come in and check on you every 4 hours so hard to sleep. Pain was not bad, just hurt to sit up and when I got in or out of bed, no gas pains either. I went home 2 days later. Good luck and a quick recovery.
  9. I will be 8 weeks this Wednesday, was band to sleeve, and so far no issues. Thank god because I so worried I was going to have everything that I was seeing. Just remember Bert in your protein and liquids and keep up the good work.

Satisfied versus Full - How do you know?

I'm so glad I came across this, I am 8 weeks out from my revision to,sleeve and just started eating normal foods. I just printed this and will start to,use it because i feel, this will be very helpful as I move along with normal eating.
  12. I used the a few years before my lapband surgery under the supervision of my dr. They worked but once I stopped weight came back on. It was a pill not a life style change so didn't keep it off. They are dangerous and you can become addicted to them so they say 3 months then take time off then you can use again. Do you have to do a liquid diet before surgery? Since you have 3 weeks I think be careful of what you eat and maybe you can drop it that way. Good luck
  13. I got band in 2008 lost 121 lbs. then got pregnant in 2010 and since having my son in 2011 I have put on 90 lab between pregnancy and issues with my band. So on 6/18/14 I had revision surgery and at 8 weeks out no regrets. I'm down 30 lbs so far and feel so much better.

Band to sleeve, same op, August 12th !

I am now 8 weeks out and no complications. Mine was pretty easy biggest surprise was how long if took to get my energy fully back, about 2 weeks. This week I'm back to eating normal foods and boy so nice to keep it down and no acid reflux issues. I'm so glad I finally did it. My surgery was about an hour long, a little scar tissue but my dr was able to remove it all. My port was embedded so took a bit to get it out (I knew something was up as I always had pain in the port area shortly after getting my band but was told its normal). I stayed 2 nights in the hospital.

Just got approved for the sleeve

congrats Lauren and good luck. For me after surgery I had my protein shakes on hand, sugar free jello, pudding, Popsicles. Soup and yogurt. Also I dealt with bad knee pain and since my surgery 6/18 and losing 27 lbs what a difference. And boy it feels good.

    June 18th Sleevers?

Just wanted to check in on everyone and see how we are all doing 6 weeks out. I'm down 27lbs been stuck for a few weeks. I have one incision that is being stubborn and not fully healed and this is part of why I can't do a fully work out or swim. My dr stitched the inside closed and used glue to close the skin. Well the glue is gone and the scab fell off but on area part of the stitch sticks out. So he trimmed it and now more is sticking out. It is not dissolving like it should and keeping the incision fro closing all the way. On Monday I move yo normal goods which I'm excite but nervous as well. I hope this finds everyone doing awesome.
  19. I'm 6 weeks out and my Dr and NUT both say to get between 500-1000 calories a day but don't go over 1000. I'm hanging around the 600-700 range. I move to normal foods on Monday so we shall see what happens.

    Post op diet?

For me I spent 3 days after surgery on liquids then moves to soft foods of jello, yogurt, puréed soups for 2 weeks. The last 4 weeks is stage 3 soft foods like cottage cheese, eggs, tuna, soft fish, really mushy veggies and fruits, mashed potato or sweet potato. On Monday 7 weeks out I can go to normal foods but red meat, raw veggies is 6 months out.

    I survived! Sleeve is complete!

Congrats. I agree with everyone walking is best to get the gas moving and to help feel better. I also had horrible dry mouth and couldn't drink anything for 2: hours. The nurses where nice to give me a little ice water and a swab to wet my lips and inside my mouth and boy did that help. I did a lot of walking or sitting in a chair as it felt better then laying in bed on my back (old back injury so it was not fun). Good luck as you start this new journey.

I am now 6 weeks out from my surgery and haven't not had the hungry feeling yet and I'm still on liquids and soft food. I have had a hard time with the protein and liquids but getting better as time goes by. I found using crystal light to flavor my water I drink more. Good luck to you next week.
