    Scared and unsure....help!

Hi I was banded 8/08 and I don't feel the band but I do feel my port. I can feel the port more as I lose the weight. As for nausea I really don't feel Nausea but I did have issues with vomit a few months ago because I would tend to eat fast. The biggest thing to remember is take small bites and slowly eat and you should be good. This was the best thing I ever did for myself. Best of luck to you on your journey

    Overfilled? Help!!!

This is totally not OK. I would go to the ER then I know sounds like a pain but if youc an't keep anything down not even a protein shake you need help now and waiting till next Thursday is not a good idea. Is there another Dr. that works with your surgeon?

    Hi, I'm a newbie

Wally, my surgeon said the same thing to me when I started the process last year as I am a grazer and have a sweet tooth. But like you I wanted the lapband and that is what I got. I can tell you it's not easy but if you are committed to making the change it can be down. I'm down a little ove 60 lbs since surgery on 8/11/08. I still have my sweet tooth and my new dr and dietician said I can treat myself here and there but be careful. I wish you all the luck on your journey sounds like you have things moving along well so far. :smile2:
  8. I don't have to be on a liquid diet till 2 days before my surgery. I guess it all depends on your dr and other things. I'm sure you will find out more tomorrow. Good luck
  9. Congrats V, you are doing good. I had my surgery down at Cedars Sinai a year ago. Good luck

    I am a newbie!

I'm glad to have no issues but my Dr. still has me with my inhalers in case something comes up. It's nice to not have that issue all the time to deal with.

So far I really like them. After my last fill in Dec at Cedars I haven't heard from them at all. So it really made me happy that I got Kasier and I found them. They are very helpful, provided me with good information and made me feel welcome. Plus I know they are going to be watching me so that makes me behave more, if you know what I mean. I saw Paul on Friday and he was really great and had no issues finding my port. In Dec Cedars took over 30 min to find my port and had issues so I was so nervous about getting another fill, that is one of the reason I waited so long to go again. I wish they had something closer in San Jose but at least South San Fran is not to far. Good luck to you, maybe one day we will run into each other at the office

    salads

I had my surgery a year ago and I pretty much each a salad every day for lunch. It's one of my favorites to eat and since work provides us with lunch, I always pick the salads. I also tend to do the dark greens or weeds as most people call them To be safe ask your Dr
