    Are you getting enough protein? I think you have to get around 60 grams a day.
  4. Good morning!! I was able to have all the Fluid I wanted as long as I stayed with the 50-60 Protein and less then 700 calories. It gets better ladies....and a small price to pay for a healthy sexy you!!!! GOOD LUCK
  5. I think most people get the band with no Fluid to start. The band itself is a Major change. I believe there are different kinds of bands also. Mine will only hold a few ccs', but I have seen others hold more then ten.

    It is a constant battle, but you can do it. I am three years post-op and I just started over in July. I challenged and cheated with many band for the last year and a half. Then one day decided it was exactly what they said. ....a TOOL to help. So I changed into the forum and read and read. Figuring out how everyone make it actually work. Do not wait until tomorrow to start.... Start Now!!!!! YOU can do it. Best of luck

    Pain

    It is a big surgery, and when they go through muscle, it hurts. I think it took a few days before I was hungry. Then watch out...lol.

    So... I thought we had to feed our body three or four times a day for it to be efficient and lose? I only ate one to two meals a day before banded. They had to train me to eat.

    I completely agree. I drank Dt soda and my stomach didn't explode so I thought thIs was a walk in the park. Three years out and only lost ten pounds after gaining back. They have you these rules and guidelines for a reason.... please do not make the mistakes I did. Follow what they tell you. I an back in track and will not be "smarter" then my. Gastric team again .....

    Lap Band Friendly Veggies?

    Freshly banned you have room for many veggies? I can only have a couple of spoonfuls of veggies if I plan To get all my protein in and stay at a cup of food. I was told no lettuce because it gets stuck and iceberg does not have an nutritional value.

    HI, Congrats in the weight loss to date. And kudos to you for recognizing the problem before it got out of hand. Slider foods are so much easier and more fun. Of course way more tasty and satisfying most of the time. This is a constant battle, but one well worth it in my opinion. Best of luck, stay strong.

    Finally In The Green Zone!

    I think I was close to my green zane my last fill, but it got a little less restrictive a week or two out. I an going to ask for a half a cc the next visit and I am certain that will do the trick.

    Fitbit With Myfitnesspal

    Does anyone use the fitbit? I wish I understood more about allowing more calorie intake with exercise. If I am exercising and not increasing my calories, (not hungry) will my body store and lose slower then if I increase the calories?? And should they be protien calories out can it be veggies and fruit?? Thanks for any insight.
  20. I an trying to manipulate my food intake to get the most out of it. After reading, I guess protien is better after working out, to burn the most? But, what do you eat before then? I am drinking a couple of huge waters first thing in the morning. Heading to the gym, then protien shake after. Do I go on an empty stomach or eat something?

    Post Fill Chest Pain?

    I also had some chest pain my last fill. Worse when I am lying down, but it went away the same day.
  22. Remember, the band is just a tool. You can over eat. You can eat more then a cup if you want. You can eat junk food very easily, easier then healthy. I think they are called slider foods. I manipulated my band for two years, and gained almost all my loss back. You must be in the right frame of mind. You have to want to not eat bad good any longer.... God luck!!!!

    Rn Scared Me Today!

    Exactly, ever read a advil bottle??? She may have thought you needed to be made aware, and wanted it to stick with you. There are risks, Like driving to the store. Does not mean cancel your appt. My son went for tonsils removed. they almost lost him, because he aspirated. A good nurse and surgeon will tell you there is no such thing as routine surgery!!! Best if luck. This journey is an adventure!!!
