  1. Hey there...thanks for the pic comment! God, that pic in the cream Ed Hardy shirt seems like forever ago now. I still try to wear it, but it is too big now...lol. It's a large and although I still wear a large, I think I stretched it out...lol. Yeah, I got lots and lots of clothes going in "Garage Sale" bins. Its a good feeling when none of your clothes fit anymore, but not so good on the pocket book. haha. So when were you banded?

  2. LOL...and what is "girl of go"? Sorry, dont get it. As for Chicago...I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood. Most people think I am Itlian...especially once they hear me talk. To each their own. Not my fault my mom never taught me. :P

  5. Wow...that's amazing!!! 28 to a 20!! I started out at 285lbs and was in size 22 (prob should have been a 24, but i bought all stretch jeans cuz I refused to buy bigger clothes...lol) and now I'm in a 16. Feels great....it'll feel even greater when I'm in single digit clothing! Good luck on your journy. Keep me posted on your progress. YOu should jump in the chat sometime. People there are a riot. :)

  7. Thanks for the pic comment. I was 285 pre-op. It's been a little over 10 months and I'm about 180 now. :) Happy to be out of the 200's. I have about 35 more til goal.

  8. Hey there, thanks! I'm 5'6 and weigh about 184 at the moment (it's been fluctuating between 184 and 187 lately). My goal is about 140-145, so i still have a bit to go. Are you banded?

  11. Hey there! Thank you for the comments! God, looking back to where I started (right about what you did) makes me want to cry over what I've achieved...and I know you will too. Not going to lie, took a lot of hard work...a lot of days pushing myself to get to the gym. I'm still not at goal (a measley 25-30lbs to go), but I know I'll get there. I wrote a blog about my first 6 months and what diet/workout routine I had. Check it out....if you have any questions, let me know!   13. Hey there...awe, that's so sweet!!! I am proud for what I've accomplished, but it's been a lot of hard work to get there. The lapband only helps monitor the amount of food you take in, so you have to have the mindset that you are going to help it along. You'll do great though...having the band is the best decision I've ever made for myself. Get excited, in a couple of days your life is going to change! If you ever have any questions (i had a TON in the beginning), please dont hesistate to reach out. Good luck!

  16. That is so wonderful to hear!!! Anything is possible. It's been a lot of hard work and self discipline, but I love my band. Best decision I've ever made for myself. :)

  17. Thanks for the compliment. I do work out a lot. I try for 5-6 days a week (a mixture of cardio and weights and 1 day with a trainer), but i usually winds up being 3-4. Depends on what I have going on during the week. I wrote a blog on what my diet/exercise is like, so if you're interested, check it out. I'm by no means an expert, just detail what has worked for me thus far. Good luck on your journey!

  19. Hi there, thanks for the compliment. I actually wrote a blog thats on my page about my diet/workout routine. I've since slowed down the working out, but my weight loss has slowed as well, so I really believe strongly the key to success is working out (it also helps some with the saggy skin). I work out a lot, so I guess I'm doing it the healthier way. So Anaheim huh? Might as well be on the other end of the world...oh yeah, you are. :)

  22. I know you are but what am I? haha. I'm like 5'6.5 so I'm not that much shorter than you, girlfriend. Especially for it to look like THAT much of a difference. I can't wait until I feel comfortable enough to bare my legs. I'm hoping that happens by the time I leave for Vegas on 7/22. Damn, I have just a little over 2 months to get there. Any workout tips?

  25. As long as your adjusting well. I think my body took to it pretty smoothly. I'm down about 41 pounds in a little over 2 months (8/27/09). So, progress has been good. This week I had a rough time keeping food down. I think something was stuck, but am much better now. Oh, the sacrifices we make. You have to keep posting pics so we can see progress.
