Dr. Soong also did my lap band surgery in December 2009. No complications and has a great staff. If you have any questions or concerns let me know. Will be happy to talk to you anytime

The only thing that goes down is Cookies, cake and ice cream? If you can get that down why not Protein Shakes, Soup, eggs, yogurt? You said I guess you were not meant to be thin, however having a defeating attitude and not eating the right things, is not helping. However it is not too late to get back on track.

I put benefiber in my Water and I get the benefits of both. Also I add chopped nuts to my yogurt and that really helps

Great idea and I never thought of it. I love the eternity band to Celebrate the band.
I will treat myself to a complete spa day.

Welcome!! How long ago were you banded? It might be too soon for steak. However the feelings you describe are exactly what stuck feels like. Just stay on soft solids for a few days and you should feel fine.

:thumbup:Congratulations!!! We have some great resources within the group and we are here for support. When is the date?
Just remember it is not a magic band, it is just a tool to help you to obtain your goal weight and maintain it.

I was banded on 12/29/09 at age 59. I also know of somebody that was banded at age 72!!!
I had diabetes, high blood pressure, knee surgery. I am now off my diabetes medicine.
Never limit yourself to being able to enjoy your life no matter what your age.
