    sharon

Hey Sharon. What a whinger I am! Sorry. I am feeling so sore in my tummy still. Just feels like it wont go away, but I know it will.

I was banded by David Hewin in Cheltenham (he did Fern's!), at the Nuffield. I decided to pay,as my local nhs wouldnt even consider me because I wasnt fat enough! Damn, should've eaten more pies.....

Im feeling windy, like ive got a tummy ache now. What sort of 'food' intake are you coping with? I have much more restriction than I thought I would have. Am only managing Tomato Soup, and chicken broth and peppermint teas at the moment.

Hope you are well too. Take care, Jo xxx

  2. Yes I am well up for a thread a month or something, so we can have some kind of cohesion to a MArch 2010 group.

PLease allow me to introduce myself...

I am Jo Fry, and live in the UK, in Stroud. I am Mum to two boys firstly, secondly an artist, and graphic retouch artist (yes, I am the one that makes Nicole Kidman's skin look perfect)....

Ummm...I was banded on the 29th, so late in the month, but would like some support from people on here.

  3. Hey! My goodness they should pay you! I am 6 days down the line, with gas pains, and restriction. I am feeling really down, and ALMOST wish I hadnt had this done. What scares me is that my belly is going to be this swollen, and the gas is going to be this bad for ever. I hear lots of people talk about gas on here, and it sounds grim. SO, if you can link me up to a buddy, I would be very grateful. I am in the UK, if that makes any difference.....

  4. Hey! I was banded on the 29th `March. Its sooo nice to hear a few stories from people who are close to my date. I am still really gassy, and sire from surgery, and feeling miserable quite frankly. It is hard to differentiate between gas pain and hunger, and I have no idea which os which. I ma hoping that this will change over time, because I cant do this for months and months. Sorry to whige, but I need to get it out!

  5. FIrst of all, thanks to all of those who have replied, re gas pain. I was banded last Monday (29th), and am still suffering. Like pregnancy sickness, this feels like its going to go on for EVER. Really simply, its good to hear people say that its not going to go on for ever, and it will stop. Otherwise you begin to feel a little silly about making this decision......well thats how I feel right now. But, onwards and upwards, I am focusing on the future, and what this decision means. I am just hoping that my pregnant sized belly will go down also.......!

PS. Hey! To all the new banders in this thread, we got it done in the same week!

  6. Hi. Im new here......

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the nhs in gloucestershire recently? I am going to my gp next monday, and am hoping he will refer me, and that the process will be relatively pain free.

I just dont want to go down the whole route to be disappointed at the end.

I am willing to pay, but not if I dont have to!

So, does anyone know if I have a hope in hell of getting one fitted aroind here??

    Best,

    Jo
