    Super bummed....

Are you having your band adjusted?
  2. NoName-AZ

    anyone else have this?

Sounds like trapped air.. try, Gas-X-strips. Take like 4 of them otherwise they wont work.. They dissolve on your tongue.. And Walk gets the intestines moving.. and hopefully the gas passing.
  3. Did anyone start the mushy phase earlier? I had my surgery on 9-23. I am supposed to wait 3wks to introduce mushy foods, which is still 1 more week out. I feel so hungry now. I would love to slowly start the mushy phase, but i am scared? Any input?
  4. I just read you thread on " I Hate Fat People." It is very profound and deep on so many levels. There are so many things you shared, that I feel as well. This physcological rollercoaster is not easy.

Maybe we can lean on eachoter? Let's be friends. :-)

  5. just read your reply to the "I hate fat people thread." Very insightful, and well put!

  6. Very well written! Great positive thread!
  7. AHHHHHHH! This makes much more sense now. It sounds like it became an obsession for you and possibly to an unhealthy level? I wish you all the luck with your continued weight loss. Utilize the band you have inside of you to help with that.
  8. You said that you had the band emptied because your family didnt want to see you healthy and strong? This statement is really confusing to me? And as far as experiencing pain at any level is not right. You should listen to your body, and seek help from you surgeon.
  9. Good to hear that you are feeling better now.

I am like you..losing slowly. Sounds like you are a positve person which is so important! It will happen for us eventually!

    Have a happy thanksgiving...:-)

  10. I say this to everyone... Get Gas-X-Strips and have them handy. If you get trapped gas, take like 3 or 4 of them, and walk A LOT! That part of my recovery was painful.
  11. I had to stop mine as well. It is very important you do what your doctor tells you. My surgeon said it is because it can cause you to "bleed out" during surgery... his words exactly. I was emotional, pissy, all of those things, but its the sacrifice we have to make.
  12. Hi. I just read your thread. It sounds to me like you need to have some of the saline taken out of your band. If you feel uncomfortable, and cannot enjoy food, than something is wrong.

I had a really bad weekend last weekend, it started Friday night, i ate a corn tortilla tostada shell, and it got SOOOOOOO stuck, it screwed me up for 3days, everything I ate got stuck. If felt the same way as you.. Like what have I done to myself? I went back to softer foods this week, and I am feeling much better.

Do you mind if I ask? How much have you lost total, to date?

  13. Ha...I am reading Artie Langes book now...Do you listen to Stern? I am a big fan.

  14. Every surgeon has different guide lines. Mine said cream soups/oatmeal (runy) things like that where okay. I wouldn't have been able to do Clear liquids for that long.. NO WAY! I am sure you will be okay. Try not to eat anything that will cause gas, since your stomach already has alot of trapped air in it after surgery. I wonder why no dairy? Mine never told me that? Can anyone answer that?

    One week post-op/ full feeling

Do you have sinus problems? Maybe there is some mucus plugging up the inlet? Just a thought? You should call your doctor. Liquids should go down easy.
  16. Love the pic of you and your baby.

  17. Wondering how you are doing???

  18. I wish you the best of luck with your weight loss. Those photos are really interesting!

  19. Thank you for sharing the photos. Wish that would have been an option for me. Did your doc, ask if you wanted photos? How did you make that happen?

I would have loved to have those photos during my surgery, to help explain the process. Great visuals.

"Listen, ladies - I am you. You will be me. I"m not special at all. Don't let the new eating habit take over your life. Make something else more important. If you think about eating all day and night, you'll never lose it. Find something else to focus on." Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these kind words. I will print this and tape them to my wall, and read them every day! I needed to hear this today.

  22. Since you are able to eat mushies..mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, can you try some soft meats like a turkey burger or meatloaf? That protein will really help with feeling satisfied!
  23. Went to get my first fill yesterday and my doctor said "NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS!" i.e. Crystal Lite.. or anything with aspartame in it. It makes your brain crave more food. Has anyone heard of this before? Wish he would have told me this before.. considering the fact that I drink alot of Crystal Lite. :tongue2:
  24. I have never heard of this before. I just googled it. Watched the video.. sounds like a great product. A little expensive but here is the web site if anyone is interested. Welcome - GoWear fit – The Lifestyle and Calorie Management System
