My surgeon told me the same thing. Use nutrition! No protein shakes. Eat meat, eggs, cottage cheese, beans. I am telling ya.. Jennie O Turkey burgers are grreat! Season them up and fry them in olive oil, add a piece of mozz cheese. Its fantastic!

I was banded on 9/23/09. Doctor Hilario Juarez, is kind and nice. His office staff is TERRIBLE! After my surgery I had severe pain in my upper extremties, (turned out to be trapped gas.) But it was frightnening. I called the office several times and emailed the nurse. not one phone call back. I complained to the office manager, and she was even worse. This office staff is horrible and they dont care. -
I make turkey burgers no bread of course, and any kind of bean. I like pintos and cheese. Use the 1cup ziplock bowls. Put it all in the bowl for measuring, then back on the plate. That is all protein. Its great.

Congratulations! I cannot wait until I start really seeing some results. I was banded on 9/23/09 and have lost 8lbs so far. I wish it could come off faster, but i know everything will happen in good time. I am inspired by your story and can't wait to share it with you! You Go Girl! -

Don't worry too much about it. They are repetitive questions simple. :-) mine was done on a computer, it took like 1hr or so, then I sat down with the physcologist, and we went over everything. I passed it with flying colors. It was soooo easy.. -
I am going in for my surgery on Thursday Aug 20th. Any suggestions on what to have at the hous while i am recovering?
