  1. I didn't start eating greek yogurt until after I was banded and I now love it! Whole foods market has a great variety. It's also becoming pretty popular ... I was at a grocery store the other day and saw that Yoplait and Dannon now make greek yogurt. The yoplait was around 110 calories with 12g of protien I think.

  2. After my surgery I was pretty hungry the first few weeks without solid foods. My surgeon said that's normal because the band isn't filled. It took several fills (a couple months) before I felt any restriction. In the begining I thought the band wasn't working because I felt hungry after eating the recommended portions sizes. Everyone's body is different, you may not have the hunger feeling after your first fill.

  3. I have felt the same way so many times. In the beginning I was not losing weight and I was getting very frustrated. I've learned not to compare myself to others and to try different things until I find what works. It's an ongoing struggle but we'll all get through it.

It took several fills (about 4) months before I felt any restriction. I thought the band wasn't working or that something was wrong with me. You just have to give it time.

  6. I use Nike + and love it. I came on the forum to see if anyone wanted to join a challenge. If one hasn't been started yet I could create one. Also, is anyone running the Nike human race. I will be participating in the race at USC.

Also, the pouch is good to start with but not as accurate as having the sensor in your shoe. I've heard a lot of people run 5 and 10ks and after the run their ipod shows a different distance.

  7. August 7th was my date. Happy to see so many August Bandsters! For those with Constipation I recommend Benefiber. It mixes is in just about anything and is pretty tasteless. I also found a Crystal Light that has lots of Fiber in it. As for Protein Shakes I find the Pure Protein pre made shakes aren't too bad. They are low in calories, sugar, and carbs and come in 4-5 different flavors. I've found them at Trader Joe's, GNC, and Target.
