  2. HI MIKE :) STILL NOT GETTING HUNGRY!! I DID GET KINDA SICK THIS MORNING...I WASNT HYDRATED ENOUGH AND I WASNT GETTING THE PROTEIN THAT I NEED :( SO...I AM PUSHING 60-70G. PROTEIN EACH DAY AND AT LEAST 64oz FLUIDS. I FELT SO BAD...DIDNT VOMIT...BUT GOT REAL SHAKY AND BROKE OUT IN A COLD SWEAT...VERY WEAK AND BAD HEADACHE. BUT ALL IS WELL NOW...I'M NOT GONNA GET MYSELF IN THAT SITUATION AGAIN!!

MY HUBBY IS NOT BANDED...HE IS ONE OF THOSE "GIFTED" PEOPLE THAT CAN EAT WHATEVER HE WANTS AND NEVER GAINS AN OUNCE :) HAHA! BUT HE IS WALKING RIGHT BY ME THROUGH IT ALL...VERY GOOD SUPPORT :)

  3. So I think its' the calcium pills that are making me sick :( I gotta find a replacement now. I didnt take them yesterday or today and I didnt get sick. I'm stuck at 14 pounds :( it's making me angry!!! My dr. wants me to take in 60-70g protein each day...but i'm scared i'm not gonna lose the weight. I need to exercise but I cant push myself just yet (just a week after surgery). I am walking...but guess it's just not enough.....need that wii :) hha. My name is April...Skippy, Skip, Skipper was a high school name that stuck w/ me :) Isnt it great that our spouses are supportive? I just feel so lucky! Some people dont have that support at all. High five to tha wife :)

I am eating more now...since I gotta get the protein in. But no more than 1/2 a cup at a time. 4 to 6 times a day. and at least 64oz fluids N Between. It's a chore! Well...keep me posted on your surgery :) I'm excited for you!!

  4. Thank you :) i was brave this morning...i'm down to 313!! Yay! 17 pounds down. Not sure about the calories, i didnt think anything about that. I cant eat much...1/2cup 4 to 6 times a day. How many calories should i shoot for?

You have done an amazing job girlie! I hope i can do the same :) your journey has given me hope :)

  5. After surgery was not so great...i felt sick on stomach & was in some pain....but soon as they gave me stuff in my iv everything started to ease. I had a two hour drive home...i slept most of the way. And i've been sleeping most of the afternoon. I just woke up from a two hour nap. I'm very thankful for people on here telling me to set up as soon as possible and walk walk walk...i did just that and i have had very little shoulder pain...when it starts aching i get up and walk. I have 6 incisions...the largest about 3 1/2 to 4 inches long. I did it everyone :) being put to sleep was the easy part for sure!!! That's what i was worried about more than anything. Thanks to you all for the very best support!!

  6. Aww...i'm so sorry :( it is getting hard at times. My family all had dominos pizza sunday night...i wanted a slice sooo bad...i did taste a pinch of the cheese and sauce off of my daughters slice and that was all i touched. Hang in there :) we gonna get thru this :)

  7. For the most part i'm eating whatever my family is eating...i'm just blending it up :) yesterday was my 1st day i had 1 egg and a few bites of potatoes for breakfast...scaloped potatos, fish & green beans for lunch, and scaloped potatos for supper. Today i had a carnation breakfast shake...they are pretty good :)

  8. Girl...you are gonna be just fine :) i am the biggest cry baby out there! I was so scared of surgery...had never been put to sleep til i got my band...but all in all...the going to sleep part was nothing. I was scared when i woke up...but girlie...it's over with before you know it :) you are gonna do great!!! Tell them you are scared and they will fix that :) keep me posted.

  9. Glad you are doing so well!! I'm sore this morning...I slept setting up last night (scared to lay down flat cause i dont want the gas pain). I'm thinking about what to have for breakfast...i'm on blended foods for 3 weeks :) i'm glad it's "food" and not just liquids from this point. How did you do waking up from surgery? I was hurting and had some nausea...but meds took care of that. Well...off to take another stroll around the house :) We are bandster buddies!!! :) YAY

  10. Hahahaha!!! We gotta have the support system thing :) they say that's good for us. I think the bloodwork is testing you for thyroid, vitamins that you may need, iron...all that good stuff :) it's no biggie...i'm a needle chicken and i survived :)

  11. Hello Everyone!! I've been gone for a while, a lot going on the past few months. My husband & I moved, hubby has a new job, my son started kindergarten & my daughter is going through this attitude stage at age 3! :) I'm happy to say that finally I am down somewhere around 50lbs...maybe more havent weighed in for a while. I'm loving my band! Shoulda lost more than I have but I havent been exercising :( I'm kicking myself in the butt thinking about...

  12. Hey :) i was banded on the 16th...i'm pretty sore today. I tried to lay down in bed last night to rest...it didnt work out very well...i just couldnt get comfortable. I am down 12 pounds this morning :) yippie!! My goal is 175...and i started at 330. Long journey...but i'm ready for it :) best of luck to you...how are you feeling??

  13. Hey :) i'm down 23 pounds!!! :) yay!! I'm doing good....still eating my pintos w/ cheese :) i'm not blending everything i eat now...just chewing very very very well....and taking baby sized bites. I still dont think i'm getting enough fluids...i'm working on that tho. Any news for you yet??

  14. Hey :) nope...dont hurt at all! It's crazy cool!! Tonight i tried blended chicken w/ rice and gravy...i couldnt eat much of that at all...it just felt heavy if that makes sense? And i'm having a tuff time burping...it's like i have to burp...but it just rolls up and sometimes dosent come out when i want it to. Exercise....i'm walking when i can now...not far, just maybe to the mailbox and back or a few laps around the house. I go back for my visit in a few weeks. So i'll find out more then about when i can start pushing myself. My hubby is gonna buy me a wii fit :) we thought that would get more use than a machine.

  15. Hey :) Thank you for the info!! I'll be sure to do just that. Yep...8 days...i'm getting scared and nervous. I was looking at pics last night and ran across a lady's "after surgery" pics...they scared me!! I am excited too...I wanna see the changes in me :) As far as "skippy"...that's just a nickname i picked up in high school :) haha...it stuck with me. Skipper, Skip, Skippy...friends still call me by those names :) Again...THANK YOU for the info!!! I appreciate that so much!!

  16. Hey :) well, for me it's not hard to drink in between meals....i was shocked! I thoght there is now way i'm gonna be able to drink enough to stay hydrated. It's neat :) i drink a lot of crystal light & water. I have had a few sippy cups of the pepsi o...i add crushed ice and swirl it around a bit and take tiny tiny sips...i've done well with it. That's what they gave me when i came out of surgery. So when i want a little bit of pop (as i call it :) i have a little. Still scared to weigh myself...so i'm gonna wait another week then weigh in. I go back to the dr. In 2 weeks....so i'm hoping i can get under 300 b4 then....or close to it. Have you heard anything from your dr. Yet?

  17. Hey everyone :) i'm so excited this morning!! I got on the scales and i'm down 12 pounds!!! Yay!!!!

  18. Hey lady :) i have a q? For ya....i was banded on january 16th...starting weight 330....well, the first few days i lost down to 316...then i gain a pound. Now i'm scared to get on the scales :( did you go through this? I came home eating blended foods the day after surgery...and i'm getting 60-70g protein a day. Any advice?

  19. Hey mike!! That is great! You will prolly be banded by spring!! Today so far has been somewhat hard...i have 2 small kids and i have to cook for them...while i have to enjoy liquids only! Tomorrow is my big day...i have wonderful family support :) that's a huge help! Keep me posted...i'm sure things will go great for ya! I'll post my surgery update soon as i'm up to it :)

  20. Hi everyone...Been a while since I've been on here. I'm down 38 pounds now, but not any weight loss in the past 5 weeks since my last fill :( I was hoping to be down 50 by now. Anyhow...that's my update...I've posted new face shots of me. I need to get brave and take some full body shots...hehe maybe in time :)

  21. Hi Mike! I'm doing pretty good today...more sore than yesterday...but it's all good. I am getting up walking around as much as possible...and that helps so much. I was shocked to hear that I can start blended foods now...I was only on an all liquid diet the day b4 surgery and when i came out of surgery. You are gonna do great! I know your excited!!

  22. Hi!! Been a while since I've been on here...I'm not doing so great with my band right now...I had my 2nd fill about 5 weeks ago & have lost nothing since :( I thought maybe they didnt hit the port?? IDK. Anyhow...I'm at 38 pounds lost...I was hoping to be 50 down by now. Thinking about signing up at curves. How are you doing? Congrats on your surgery :) How much have you lost??

  23. How did things go for ya? Hope you are doing well :)

  24. How is your journey going with the band? I noticed that we are both in Virginia...and start weights and age are the same.
