Banded yesterday as well and I wish I could say I was great. I had a really bad night last night to the medication, was up all night sick and in so much pain. Still not feeling all the well right now. Hope it gets better. Congrats to you!!

I thought I was the only one losing my mind! I was supposed to have surgery tomorrow (May 25) as well, but of course I got a call from my surgeons office and it was moved to Thursday instead. So 2 more days of complete anxiety!! I just want it over with already. LOL. Today is my last day of work for the next month, I'm very lucky that I get 12 weeks of short term, so I gave myself a good amount of time to get thru it all. Good luck to everyone. I wish everyone an easy surgery...here's to a new life!!

Now it's time for me to get down to business!! Just got back from my 9 day trip to Disney World with my boyfriend and enjoyed every momment of it!! And now it's time to get focused on my surgery and what my life is about to become! I can't believe that I only have 8 more days till my surgery next Tuesday. I'm finally getting organized and prepared. I can't believe it's almost here after the LONGEST 9 months of my life. LOL. But I'm ready, I can't wait to start my new life!!! BRING IT ON!!!!! :thumbup:

I will be banded May 25!!! No pre op diet required. EDG on May 5 and Bloodwork on May 19!!! Can't wait for my new life to start!!

I got my date - MAY 25!!!! I go away to Disney next week for 9 days come back and a week later my life is going to change - for the better!!!! Can't wait!!!

I'm in the same boat - I have PCOS and this is my whole reasoning for getting banded as well. I'm getting married Nov 2011 and we really want kids, so here's hoping that with the band I will get my weight and this syndrom under control and be able to have kids! Good luck to you!!

I'M APPORVED!!!!!!! OMG I can't believe it!!! It's been a very long process, but it was well worth the wait. I have my pre-op appt on Tues, April 27 and my EDG on May 5. Then I will get my surgery date!!! I'm so emotional right now. I'm all over the place. I just can't believe it's finally here. I can't wait to start my new life!!!

I read a book called "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking" by Allan Carr - as soon as I put the book down, I haven't touched another smoke. I didn't believe my friend at first when she told me that she quit by the end of the book - now it's been 3 yrs for her. I'm 2 days out and have no craving what so ever. I don't miss it at all!!

Today I recieved a letter from my insurance company stating that after reviewing all my stuff that they don't find it "medically necassary" and I need to submit more information. I'm not denied at the moment, it's under review from Intracorp (who the hell are they???) So I called my insurance company and talked to a representative and told her about the letter I recieved and she couldn't find the person's name in the system that sent me the letter - STRANG - and I asked what else is needed from me for this surgery to get approved. She then asked for my reference number and found my info, and according to her, the system said that I was approved! HUH?!?!? She said that I was all set and I should be recieving a letter of approval. Totally confused!! PLUS I never heard from my surgeons office, so maybe they took care of it? I don't want to get happy thinking that I'm approved when I may not be, if it's still under review. I have no clue, did this happen to anyone else? Any advise would be appreciated!

Hello - as of tomorrow 4/14/10, I will be done with ALL my requirments asked of Cigna. My question is - I was referred by my OBGYN not my PCP to get the LapBand. I called to get my referral letter from my OBGYN because I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Does anyone know it that would be exceptable? I see my OBGYN more then I see my PCP. She's the one who has sent me for blood work for my weight gain and she's been the one montioring my weight for the past few years. I'm hoping that this will be ok. Getting really nervous about submitting my paper work to Cigna and getting denyed. I've done all that Cigna has asked and I meet all the requirments. I just hope that it all works out. I'm having such anxiety about it all. :thumbup:

OMG I can't wait to get my band (waiting on insurance approval) - I was once at 185 lbs and I felt fantastic and I can't wait to feel that way again! Here are some of my other goals below: Health - - I have quit smoking so that's one thing I really wanted to accomplish - I want to be able to be athletic again and play on sports teams and not be embarrassed to play because I can't keep up like I used to. - I want to be able to walk up the stairs without my heart pounding out of my chest or getting winded. - I want my knees and back to stop hurting. - I don't want to feel tired all the time - I want to have more energy - I can't wait to start working out again and enjoy it - Not run to food as my comfort - To be able to have children!! Vanity - - I can't wait to fit comfortably on a roller coaster again and in a seat on an airplane - Looking forward to wearing really nice clothes and dressing nicely - Looking into the mirror and finally seeing something good, unlike now when I hate seeing my reflection - To wear a bathing suit without shorts over it - For my jeans to stop rolling under my fat roll - Cute undies - To look beautiful on Nov 11, 2011 - our wedding date on the beach!! - To wear a little black dress - Above all to be a more strong willed and confident women!!

I had to do a 6 month program - I gained 10 lbs but I do have an underlying issue so I'm not to concerned. It's not like I gained another 50lbs. Good luck and it goes by faster then you think!

I'm hoping to be banded in May as well. All my requirments were submitted into my insurance company as of Friday 4-16-10. Now I'm just playing the waiting game. Wish me luck for approval - need all the positive thoughts I can get!! :ohmy:

I'm happy to hear that everyone has a date and is moving forward with their journey! As of 4-14-10 I finished ALL my requirments and as of 4-16-10, everything was submitted to my insurance company. So now my future lies in their hands. I hope to hear something in the next week or two and hoping to be banded toward the end of May! Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I could us all the positive vibes!! Much appreciated!!

Thank you girls! You both made me feel so much better! I called the nurse at my OB/GYN and they are putting a letter together for me. As of 5:30 pm today - my life is about to change!!! I can't believe it's ALL done!! It's been a long 9 months. :cool:)

Oh God - I hope that my surgeon knows to put it in as medically necessary. I should call to make sure. Now I'm even more nervous!
