so, i know everyone is different, but i just had my first fill a week ago. I felt really restricted the first 2 days, but after that i can eat a bowl of food w/ out a problem. Is it true that it takes about 2 or 3 fills before you really get a since of tightness?

well i already had three, i'm at 6cc and still eat fine.

For the most part i have the most wonderful husband in the world. I have been with him for over 23 years and married 18 years. He is generally good to me, supported my choice to get banded, we don't fight, and i am still very much in love with him. In general, i think we are living as close to "happily ever after" as we can get.

But .............. I have lost 44 pounds and he has not said a word or made any indication that he sees any difference. He has not asked how much i've lost...... Nothing

i'm not really pissed about it, though it does bother me a little. Maybe he doesn't know what to say? Who knows ......

I am going to wait it out and see just how many pounds it takes before he says something.

i have that same problem with my husband, but that's o.k. I did this for me and no one else. Furthermore, if he never tells you someone else will. Keep up the good work!!!!!

i sent in my registration form for my lapband with the understanding that i would get a card to show resturants but never got an acknowlegement of my band registration. ?? Most resturants i have gone to do not recognize the card and not let not let me order off the childs menu. Maybe it was just the place i went to that didn't. Who knows. I do need to followup with my dr office to find out i guess.

Congrate, on your weight i was banded on 8-17-09 and down only 22 pds, i work out about 4 to 5 days a week. My weight is coming off really slow to me, but i've lost about 10 inches over my hold body.

That great your weight loss. I was banded on 8-17-09 an i've only loss 22 pds, whats up with that.

so how do you lose the weight if you fell the same after your fill.

i my fill back on 9-15-09 and i could not tell the differents. my start weight was 222 down to 207, back to 208, 209 back to 207. im really wondering is this going to work for me. i dont ever fill full, but i limit myself to what i eat. even though i feel like i can eat a whole hamburger but, i dont do it, i can control myslef. i have lose like 9 inch, but i want to lose weight. i also work out 4 days a week, about 1 hr. please e-mail back @enmu20@aol.com...thanks again

yes the same thing happened to me. i'm 5 1 and was weighing 222. i was banded on 8-17-09 down to 208, i was just filled on 9-17-09 i dont even feel like it. i was worried because i was getting hungry, but the nurse told me that i was not eating enough food. this hold lap band thing is strange. i started my workout at the gym again on yesterday that went o.k. i just want to get to the point were i can only eat about two bits, and that it.

this is the other thing with the people that do know they just want to watch u fail. i have several people that ask me stupid things like how much are you going to lose,"how in the hell do i know" how much. oh, how much have you lost its only been 4 weeks, how much am i supposed to lose.

on full liquid you can have popsicle sugar free of course, yogurt, broth, freeze pops,protein shakes

I've only lost about 15 pds, and my clothes are big. I also brought a pair of pants, size 16, when i still have size 20 that i still wear, and this is with a small amount of weight lost. Whats really going on? I was banded 8-17-09 with no fill yet until 9-17-09.

yes i will be FILLED on 9-17-09, i started to get hungry more and more. i've been eating mushie food, and it holds me longer than just drinking liquids. today i put bake chicken in the chopper, also corn bread dressing,green Beans, sweet potato, AND POTATO salad. I ONLY ATE 4 OZ. LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR FILLS GOES.

Yea i made my 2 wks today 8-30-09 ans i do get hungry. I had 1/2 Protein before i went to church, and durning chuch i was sipping on crystal light. It was a total of 4 hrs before i got back home. Really if you look ay it i should have been hungry. If you are getting hungry every hour than i think u do have a problem. I want get banded until 9-17-09/

The same thing happened to me he was not really interested in what i was doing, but that just like everything else. I wanted this for myself and know one else. It was all about me and no one else. He has asked a couple of question but thats it. I've been married 28 years and have been up and down with my weight. So, its all about me and no one else. Hope this helps, just make sure you are doing it for yourself. I'm 52 and my health is important to me.

I was banded 8-17-09 doing reallyGOOD. I'm on puree foods now, i had tuna today, and i love eggs whites they are great. I hardly eat though, i forget because im not hungry. Today i had:

B-Protein shake

l-eggs white

s-2 freeze pops

Water this is hard to do,

d-tuna puree it was o.k better than Soup.< /p>

I get full so easy, and i hate because i cant eat and drink so i have to wait to drink if i eat.

222 down to 205 i go to the dr. On 9-17-09

I had the realizeband, and i WAS put on liquid five days out. The liquid diet is all about the liver not been too fatty. The doctor has to move the liver to do the procedure, and it makes it easier for the doc.

Yes i was 222 before the liquid the day of surgery i was 215. Yes its all about the liver, so if you do what they say it will all work out fine. And it does depend on how much you weigh and how much you need to lose.

Yes the most important thing to do is what the docotr say. My doctor told me do five days out but AND i did not HAVE any problems, so i started early it want huRt you only help you more if you start before hand. The reason is for the liver TO STRINK , so they do know what they are talking about or they would not tell you. Good luck!

I was banded on 8-17-09, and i've lost 12lbs. My doctor told me in the beginning with the lap band that most people only lose about 70 to 80 pds max. Just wondering why you chose to have the lap band, instead of bypass or the sleeve. I.ve had no problems, want go to the doctor until 9-17-09, i guess they will give me my first fill. I know some people dont even get a fill, until much later. Good luck.
