That was the toughest part of my recovery. I had tons of pressure under my rib cage. It was caused from the gas they use while doing surgery. I took gas X strips and walked, and walked and walked some more finally it got better. Hang in there! Congratulations I remember going through all of the pre-opt stuff. It was so time consuming and frustrating I almost gave up. So glad I didn't though. Hope your feeling better soon:

I got banded yesterday! I feel pretty good. My pain afterwards was 0 when gettin up and walking around it has been about a 3 or 4. I am so stiff and sore though. I have finally finished a Jello and half of a Protein Drink for the last 2days that all I have had. I also had hernia repair and the pain factor (thankfully) has not been bad at all. I do have a really high pain tollerence though. It does hurt when I take a deep breath. Having pressure on my stomach (pillow, ice) is a life saver the pressure feels so goos to have something there to support your tummy,

Why do some ppl lose 80 pounds with no fills and some ppl lose 20 after 5 fills? I know everyone is diff but I dont get that part

I am having the hital repair also I AM SOOOO NERVOUS about the pain...and these responses dont sound so good lol I am expecting alot of pain....

Soooo I have surgery in 5 days ugh I cant wait!!! I am nervous because I am having a hernia repaired as well. Has anyone had both done at the same time. I am also curious how many incisions I will have. Cant wait 2 see the new me in the months 2 come!!!

I am in the same boat day 2 and not drinking. I found if I chug it helps lol

@ rozie i love reading ur stuff thats awesome U EXERCISE ALOT THATS PROB WHY U HAVE LOST SO MUCH I have lost only 5 pounds and I get banded on july 5 I am anxious 2 see how I will look thinner.

@ROSIE I NOTICED U HAVE REPLIED 2 ALOT OF PPLS TOPICS (sorry bout caps) so u lost 48lbs already and u just had ur surgery 2weeks ago? wow. I am curious how was the pain after? I am also having a hernia repaired so I am expecting more pain.

@shauna yes i start it wed its liquid and very soft foods until day of surgery

Ladies after surgery how long did it take aunt flow to come back? If you have been irregular or not had a period due to being overweight?

How long did it take after surgery to get aunt flow back? Since with overweight women your period usually is irregualr or nonexistent.

Anyone in the DFW area getting banded around 8/19 wanna exchange #s or myspaces and keep in touch with each other on this journey....I dont wanna do it all alone!! :biggrin:

OMG liquid diet SUX!! :drool: ANY TIPS, IDEAS!! PLEASE HELP!! IM BEEN EATING sugar free Jello AND THE shakes BUT IM STILL STARVIN... MY SURGERY IS IN 5 DAYS!! ALL I CAN DO IS sleep 2 NOT EAT!!!!

So I finally got my date Aug 19th!! Im super EXCITED :wub:(AND STARVIN) on the liquid diet :thumbup: no fun at all.....Has anyone had there surgery yet?? How was the pain afterwards? And the next couple of days? I think that is my biggest worry!! Thanx any info from anyone would help!!
