September 2009 Band Date
incolorado replied to ashleysara's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree, Jillian's DVDs are great. I hate the gym. I run outside, on my treadmill at home, or do a DVD or the Wii. Congrats on that 1 after the 2! -
Checking in - I have lost 4 lbs so far in the challenge. Started at 209, now at 205. My goal is 194, so 11 pounds to go! Thanks again for doing this.

Do I have losses? How about -4.2 pounds! So excited! Can we add our starting challenge weight on your list? I forgot what it was and had to go back and look. So my starting weight for this challenge was 209.8, my current weight is 205.6. Hope everyone is doing well. -

Hey Ladies, I just wanted to report that my second fill has been AWESOME! I was at 4 ccs and got 2 more for a total of 6 ccs in my 10 cc band. I went up to 6 ccs a week ago today, and have already lost 4 lbs. It is a little tricky because there are certain things I cannot eat now - pasta is out, and beef is not good. Chicken works in small pieces and lots of sauce. I had a major sliming incident with a couple crackers and turkey - probably did not chew enough and ate too fast. My hunger is totally under control, I am eating anywhere from 800 - 1400 cals per day, depends on how hungry I am. Seems like some days are hungrier than others, and I am okay with that. I hope everyone else gets this kind of restriction soon! It is the answer. Best to all of you - :tongue2: -

Give yourself a break. Until the restriction kicks in it is really hard. I did have a little bit of restriction with 4ccs, and it helped with the hunger, but believe me I fell off the wagon plenty of times! My second fill brought me to 6 ccs and I am loving it. As for a bigger fill next time! -

Hey, 4 pounds is NOTHING for a 3 week vacation!!! You should be proud of yourself! And that fill should help a bunch. -

Hi again, Yes I do "full liquids" right after a fill, which includes things like soup and thin oatmeal. But I did not really notice the restriction until I started eating solids. Huge difference. Hope your fill kicks in and no mor PBs! -
Hey there - I thought I would share my recent fill experience. I went from 4 ccs to 6ccs at my second fill last week, and the difference has been dramatic. I am not hungry AT ALL, and am eating way less. I did have some near-PB incidents with Pasta and crackers, and tonight I ate about 1/3 of a burger (no bun) before I felt too much chest discomfort and had to stop. But no problem eating Protein bars, and I eat veggie sausage with no problem either. So not sure what is going to work/not work. I am thrilled to be free of that hunger and obsession with food! I just hope this lasts!

Yay, down 2 pounds (really 3, since I gained and re-lost a pound since the start of the challenge!) My fill is totally working now....

Julie, I am going to say 10 for the Xmas Challenge. This last fill is totally doing its job. I lost 3 lbs since our pizza night last Monday! Having to really watch what I eat - major slime incidents with pasta and crackers so far. :smile2: -
Anyone out there who lost slow at first and ended up successful?
incolorado replied to headin_to_mxico's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am early in the process, but with this second fill (from 4ccs to 6 ccs) there is no way I could eat that much food. Before the second fill, definitely! So sounds like you do need another fill. Good luck! -

Julie, its a good thing we had that pizza the other night - I have some major restriction now and pizza is not in my future for now! I went from 4 ccs to 6 ccs. Really feeling it! Thanks again for a fun dinner! -

That is awesome! Way to go Amanda! I just got a second fill on Tues, and whoa what a difference! I went from 4 ccs to 6 ccs. Waaayyy more restriction now, so hopefully my scale will start moving too! -
Hey Lady! Do we weigh in weekly or just at the end of the challenge? I changed my goal to a more realistic number... Thanks for doing this!

Definitely try to get in for another fill early! You should not be hungry all the time. It is a pain, all this waiting and back and forth stuff. Hope it starts to work for you! -

Last post, I promise. I just got the call that Dr Brown's office is closed tomorrow too so my appt. was cancelled. CRAP. That is going to be a ton of money in change fees. Guess I will go early next week. There better be 24 inches of snow in Denver! Wimps! They really can't handle snow up there. -

First, sorry to everyone who has to see this back and forth about our flights! This is an easy way to communicate. They just put the flight "on time" again, leaving at 5:12. Hope to see you there if you can make it! -

I only have the Jillian DVD, not the Wii one. I was thinking about those 2 for the Wii as well. Hmmmmmmm -

I just saw the flight was "delayed" until 5:59 pm. Hmmmmm... Do you have to cancel either way? Could you still go and leave on Friday maybe?
