  1. My doc hasn't mentioned doing another ultra sound, but I may end up asking her about it when we get the results from the blood work she did. I've added some cream soups this week. Cream of chicken, cream of potatoe (had to blend) and I cooked the lentil soup recipe on the recipe forum here (but also blended it) and boy was that good! I can't wait to have cottage cheese. lol I never thought I'd hear myself say that. I've also added some whey protein shakes for breakfast. Some are good and others taste awful. Sounds like you are doing pretty good. I start back to work tomorrow and sure hope I do ok.

  2. Just popping in to see how you are doing?

  3. Firefly, thanks so much for thinking of me. My arm seems to be doing much better. It's very frustrating though because there's no way of really knowing unless they do another untra sound and it doesn't sound like they have another lined up. So basically, from what I can tell it appears to be much better. I haven't had any swelling at all for days although there is still one small knot on my arm. Please continue to pray as I really don't know what else to do but that! How are things your way?

  4. Thanks for your comments! Best of luck to you on this fantastic journey.

  5. I know!!! I'm so excited and nervous. How are you holding up?

  6. I'm doing fantastic. I'm at a stage now where I can pretty much eat anything I want. The neat thing is I don't want the food I used to want. I've tried eating things like wings, which I used to love, and no go. I just don't like them. I'm down 41 pounds. I feel the best I've felt in years. I'm glad I did this. It's good to hear you are doing good. keep in touch please.

  7. Hi Brenda, haven't heard from you in a while. How are you doing? Are things still going smoothly for you. I'm doing great and feeling better than I have in many years. I'm down 41 as of the other day. weeehaaaa.

  8. Only two more days until surgery. We head to San Diego early tomorrow morning. See ya there. :)

  9. Renee, thanks so much for your kind words. I'm still on this journey with you. I have about 30 more pounds to go. I know I'll get there, it's just slower as your go. You will be an inspiration to the next generation coming through. Good luck on your date and please keep me posted on your progress.

  10. Humpty, thank you so much!

  11. Tiff, Thanks so much for your comment. I'm so glad to hear that everything went ok with your surgery. You are one of our mentors here and I know lots of people here care about you. Hoping you have a speedy recovery and are back up and bouncing in no tme.

  12. Hey Rob, haven't heard from you in a bit. Hope everything is going well for you and things are still on target. Looking forward to meeting you when you are in Colorado. We just had a huge snow storm the last 2 days. It's nuts..for this time of year.

  13. Congratulations on getting your sleeve on the 24th! Are you going to Dr. Aceves. It is a major change, but I have no doubt its going to be a healty one.

  14. Hi PhatmanWalkin, Thanks so much for your comment. I think I am on the mend and all the prayers are so appreciated. I am excited for you and your future journey. I'm sure the wait is hard as I know it was for me, but stay focused. It will be here before you know it.

  15. DeeDee, Thanks so much for your comment. I think it's normal to have that "what have I done" moment from time to time don't you? Do you still every get those as far out as your are? You have done fantastic and it's fun to read your story and hear your excitement in your posts.

  16. Brenda, I am so looking forward to the up coming changes as well. My hubby is coming with me. I've heard the commisary is very good for meals, so maybe he and your mother can have company with each other as well. I'm so afraid he gets bored for all those days. He is bringing our laptop, so I think that will help. I'm looking forward to meeting you. Where do you live? I'm in Colorado.

  17. Ok, I haven't heard from you in forever!!! What's up and how are you doing? I hope all is well with you. I'm down 74lbs and have about 30 more to go. I just posted a current pictue to my album. Write back to let me know how you are doing,.

  19. Rod, congrats on being sleeved! I hope all is going well for you. Just make sure to drink lots of fluid in the beginning and not worry to much about the protein. It will all come together. Love your new pic! ^5

  20. I'm in Monument CO. I had my surgery on Jan 19th with Dr. Aceves in Mexico. I had originally scheduled with Dr. Snyder, but then I had insurance problems and ended up having to self pay. I did attened Dr. Snyders seminar and loved him.

  21. Ready, I'm glad to hear you are doing good. Everything is great with me. I feel so much better. The exercising is difficult but I'm maintaining 4 miles 3 to 4 times a week. I just wish the weight would come of faster. Who doesn't right? We take years to put it on and want it gone yesterday. lol Good to hear from you and please keep in touch!

  22. Brenda, good to hear from you. I was wondering how you are doing. 44 lbs is fantastic. The stalls are to be expected as we all know. It just sucks when that happens. I'm down 43 lbs as of this morning. I am having difficultly getting the water in also. I never do less than 50 oz, but I need to be doing more. Sometimes I just can't seem to get it down. It's not good to be dehydrated. Keep drinking as much as you can and please keep in touch.

  24. Just be strong. The liquid diet and pre diet, and the first couple of weeks after surgeyr are the hardest part, but I promise you it gets easier. Good luck with your journey. I don't regret doing it one bit and definitely wish I had done this years ago.

  25. Hi Rob, I'm doing very well. Weight loss has been very slow but I'm moving in the right direction. I'm down 34lbs. weeehaaaa. Life has changed so much. You won't regret getting this done (well maybe at first you will) but once you get the routine down..it's fantatic. When are you coming to Colo?
