  1. Seem to be getting better at judging but it does not take much to be full. Funny though cause I have more in my band than ever and no stuck feeling ,no throwing up, not use to this but it is nice!! Cheri
  2. I can not eat pizza, no matter how slow I eat it it will get stuck. But I can now eat a lot of things that I could not eat before just not pizza. Bread and I are just not friends anymore but thats okay I probably already ate my share for a lifetime. Cheri
  3. I know this is a LapBand board but I have one so I count. I am seeking someone else who has clinical depression to be able to talk to and check on and help each other throught this. Really not someone who is depressed because of the weight or slow weight loss. But real depression that last for years that you are struggling through. Not that one type of depression is worst than another. I am on meds and done my fair share of counseling (3 years). I can find joy in my immediate family I have some support. But depression scares people away. I have lost 84 lbs but it did not fix my depression which I knew it would not they are 2 separate things that do sometimes overlap each other. I am Christian and believe in prayer and healing but until that happens I need more help to keep going. I perfer to talk to another Christain so we will have the same morals and beliefs. Because our belief in God's commandments, teachings and etc. Without my realtionship with God I would have been long gone If you have no time for this then thanks for thinking of me, but I am looking someone who knows what I mean and needs the same thing. I am pretty much through losing but you do not have to be I do not care what stage you are in. This last week is the first time I ever thought about wanting to really died I need a buddy willing to talk, email, texts whatever. I need someone who wants to go long term. Don't be sorry as I have been through this for many years but it is worse during the holidays. I posted this on the Christan bansters thread as that is what i am looking for. If someone see this and can not help say a prayer for the renewing of my mind. Thanks Cheri
  4. After last small unfill I think I might be in the green zone. Even with more ccs in my band no more vomiting or getting stuck I can eat most anything that is not breaded or any type of bread. Now my problem how fast I get full and NO signs like before that said STOP now. Now if I have one bite too much - hour of pain. What happen to my hiccups that said STOP THIS MINUTE. Will it ever come back. Sometimes it could be ½ cup or less but every food is different but I can't find that stopping point. What happen? I have been the other way for 2+ years . . . .maybe I can now finally get the last 20 off. But the pain of one bite too many is almost more painful (stuffed feeling) than just throwing up. I feel like I had a big burger and some fries and then a fried apple pie (sorry to bring that up). Or old eating of Thanksgiving dinner stuffed and unhappy. But it almost feels like if I could just throw up a small amount it would stop the stuffed feeling but I am not doing that but I can not seem to eyeball it like before and if I measure some food it is just too much depending on food. Anyone else, advice? Maybe I should do more very small meals instead of 2½ or 3 Working out like crazy to lose this last bit. Please tell me what you know? Cheri
  5. If you but the ready to drink Muscle Milk or Muscle Milk light you can heat in microwave lke hot chocolate. I do it all the time. Mucle Milk light 100 calories good on cold night before bed. I buy ready to drink at Sams Club by the case so much cheaper. Cheri
  6. John, I do not think you sound like this is the lifestyle change you would like it is very different. Most of us really, really wanted it as we had tried everything and always gained it back. While you are researching, try it own your own again. You already workout so just step it up some cut back on food a little and give yourself like 6 months and see what you can change on your own. But we aren't getting any younger and you do not want to develop the things that change as we get older and are carrying around extra weight. Best wishes to you in making your choice. And if you do feel the need to get WLS it is not death sentence it is something you can get use to. But it does change the way you eat as long as you have the band. Cheri
  7. Using a straw? That can do it! Cheri
  8. head hunger,workouts Cheri
  9. First crazy people I have met in over 2+ years. But they were enough for a lifetime. Cheri
  10. My fills were included for a year but in 90 days I am sure I had at least 3 fills small fills but 1 cc the first time and from then on ½ cc each time. Ask if they charge for a slight unfill if you take it them find out is was a little too much. Cheri
  11. The only thing you have to be careful with is okay, Thanksgiving is only one day a year, well so is Christmas Eve parties, Christmas dinner, New Years Eve parties, New Years day dinner, and that is only 2 months. You have to be careful I have seen too many people totally blow it in those 2 months. Just remember how hard you worked a whole week and only lost one pound and how you felt. Do you want to do that again? I have seen some of my good friend put on 14 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years, food is just food it is not family or friends. The best advice I read from the above posts was drink extra Water and eat only the foods that you only get on that day, not things you could have anytime. But it is not worth it, Just enjoy your family and friends and let the others stuff themselves and you be good, not great but good. It is harder to lose the second time the same pounds right? Cheri
  12. vomiting, stuck, drinking Water Cheri
  13. Congratulations! I know it feels good! Cheri
  14. I worried about that too what will happen if something causes me to have my band removed. But I am pretty sure I would have it replaced or do whatever is the newest besides the Bypass at that time and I will find someway to pay for it just like the band as I was self pay. But I would like to keep it forever that is what I am hoping and praying for. But who knows what tomorrow brings. We could get hit by a bus and still have our Band. Just think positive thats all we can do. Watch out for buses!!! Cheri
  15. I get stuck a lot, but I know it is of my own doing not the Band's fault. I do not always chew enough or eat too fast. I get panic attacks all the time and the first few times I could not tell if i was stuck or going to have a panic attack. I kinda felt like both start out in the same area for me. But I have now learned the difference. I have been stuck for hours and had no trouble breathing. Now once or twice I did have a panic attck at the same time and it was not pretty. My pills are very tiny and I just put them in my mouth and let them melt and soon it all stop and I am just stuck, but calm. It is a little scary the first time but later you know what it is. But most people do not get stuck, you can help yourself by eating very small bites and chewing and chewing. It is not the norm for people to get stuck. But if you do it will not stop you from breathing it just sits there waiting to go down. I can drink some if i am stuck it just gurgles itself around whatever is stuck. You will be just fine don't let that stop you. Cheri
  16. I went to sleep the first month with hunger pains too. But after my first fill I lost all hunger. If I was really busy nightime would come and I would remember I had not eaten all day, so for some of us or most of us it does go away. I am 2+ yeas post op and still hardly ever get hungry but I eat anyway . . . my head is always hungry!!! Cheri
  17. It feels so good to be able to eat again. If you are too tight please go for that little unfill so worth it!! Cheri
  18. Wow there are a lot of November bandsters!! You all sound like you are hanging in there and getting ready. Some are recovering good too it sounds like. Just wanted to remind you the first month is the hardest but it is only 30 days or so. Just think everytime your stomach growls and it will about week 2 that you will probably not feel that feeling much anymore when you start getting your fills. I pretty much lost all hunger since my first fill. But the first month you will go to sleep with the growling but it won't kill you it didn't me. Just drink some protein shake or eat ½ protein bar before you go to bed and it will help. During the day just drink more water till the hunger goes away. If your Dr lets you, coffee is a real hunger killer. When I read about how worried some of you are, I say don't be you will be in and out so fast you will be like me looking to see if there really were some scars. If you are just really a mess when you get there tell the nurse they will give you something to calm you down. Don't forget your pillow for the ride home, to hold against your tummy in case of bumps or railroad tracks. I used it to walk with the next couple of days. Just walked up and down my driveway in my PJs with my hubby and pillow about 10:00 pm when no one could see me in my PJ's. Also stop looking at the surgery videos it will just scare you and you do not need the added stress. Again best wishes to all of you I really am praying for all the November bandsters everyday. So I know God will have His hand over all of you. The 4th was my 51 birthday and I am 2+ years old and no regrets at all and no problems except a tiny unfill twice. This is an exciting time for all of you congratulations! Remember all of us have lots of advice but always check with your Dr. if you have something that worries you. Most of the time the staff can help you if the doctor is not there and on the weekend they usually have an answering service to get your information and have someone call you back if need be. But keep coming here for support . . . too hard to go it alone and there are some great people on these boards that have experience for several years with the band and they have helped me for 2+ years and I am still learning new little things that help! Cheri I came back to add one more thing . . . remember Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks it is really not about food . . really we just make it that way. It will be back in 365 days and you will be ready to face all the bad food as well as the good foods and make good choices. Be good!
  19. Cool website! I need to grow 2 inches taller . . . big difference Cheri
  20. Congratulations on getting a date! I have heard people do get smaller shoes sizes as they lose mine did not change. Cheri
  21. Dave_NW you made my day! Been a while since I was told I was smart. Thank you! I just thought someone might bring a camera out and say it was a prank, but it is real life crazy people. I am like you I am 51 and want to lose 15 or 20 more but if I don't and stay where I am at I would be happy too. When they pass away at least their caskets will be light , , , sorrythat was rude , , , but they were laughing at me. Cheri
  22. None for me but I was self pay Cheri
  23. This has nothing to do with the test, but I wanted to see how you are doing I have not seen a post from you in a long time? Cheri
  24. I must agree I think you are eating too much. Some people can lose without working out . . . but not if they are eating too much sounds like too many calories and carbs. An easy fix! I always lose real good on low low carb just can't stick to it really long but that is just me. Cheri
