  1. Sort of got lost. Two broken ankles and lost my sister. I'm just now trying to get back on track. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. Hey there. I haven't heard from you for a while. How are you doing?

    Well I hope.

    Talk to you later.

  3. Maudi, I"m so glad to hear back from you and glad you are doing better. Me too. I"m on pureed and walking about 45 minutes a day. I tried some different food today so I hope it helps me feel full longer. I've never had cottage cheese before so bought some today as it is so high in protein. It's pretty good even pureed.

All my steri strips are off except I seem to have developed a sensitivity to them. I have sores all around the surgical sites. Except my port site. The strip was right across the stitches and it's a mess. I get my stitches out on Monday so that is kind of exciting and then back to work on Tuesday.

I actually gave notice the day before my surgery. I can't wait to be done there. Can you imagine having this surgery and working in, "Mr. Christie, you make GOOD cookies?" So I quit and am going to work for an air line.

Ok, off to play with my dawg.

    Have a great evening.

  4. I'm so glad things are settling? down for you. At least physicially. I"m better, altho this blasted shoulder is still giving me grief.

I treated myself to a breakfast with Cream of Wheat. I got almost a quarter of it in...sigh. Tomorrow I start the real mushies so I'm going shopping to get the ingredients for some of the recipes they've got here.

    Take good care

  6. I haven't heard back from you so I'm a bit worried. How are you doing? Did things settle down a bit? I hope you are doing well. I"m heading for my shower so I can take the dawg for a walk. Drives my husband crazy but I take the cell phone with me.

    Take care.

  7. Oh, I am so sorry your having a lousy time of it. Me to. Well I was until I talked to the surgeon. When we finished talking he said he wanted me into the clinic right away. I had 3.5 ccs in my band already, but due to the extra swelling related to my hernia repair(didn't even know it was there) I was starving. I went in, and within 5 minutes, I could breath and the pain was 200% less. I'm so happy. I'm back to clear fluids until I get my electrolytes back in line, but still.

I'm going to try resting again soon. Like you, I"m having a bad time sleeping.

Take good care. We will be smoking hot in no time flat. Actually, healthy is my aim. HOt is a bonus!!!

  8. Hi there. Just checking in again. I had mine done yesterday, not enjoying day two at all. Too much gas and all I do is gurgle. Sheeesh. However, it's over and done and now I can heal and get going with my life.

How are you doing? Improving? Thrilled with everything? Hungry?

I'm getting coffee tomorrow. I almost can't stand the wait.

    Take good care.

  9. I'm so glad to hear things are improving and "working" their way out. I know that is always what we look for in hospital. Can he/she break wind. If not, sorry about your luck, you have to stay an extra day. Hard as this might be to believe, males pass air a lot faster than women. Who would have guessed?

I hope you have a lovely rest and are ready to face the world again.

Me, I'm getting ready to put my feet up. I feel like a bit of a sloth today and I'm not sure why.

    Take care

  10. Just checking up on you to see how you are doing today. Well I hope. Hope your weather is better than ours. It has been rapid cycling through massive thunderstorms since this morning. I'm pretty sure you won't sleep well through that.

    Ok, done bugging.

    Take care
