Yay! Labor Day! OOh so I am just relaxing today. My incisions are healing very nicely :redface: I have also been eating chunkier liquids. I 4 bites of pureed mac and cheese. It was satisfying but way to filling. I love that I can eat tiny bites of food and be full. I am trying to figure out not to have liquids for 2 hours. It seems like torture.

Day 10 rocks! Ok so I am finally look less puffy and my incisions are looking great. I feel great today. I am so ready to eat mushy food but have till weds I think. Sigh. I have been so good with food I deserve one thing that tastes good. I am craving chkn' veggie nuggets. I think those will be ok to eat on the mushy diet especially if I nuke them they get soggy. I am so glad I have tomorrow off. Not sure what to do with myself?

whoosh! I have had the worst drug withdrawls the last few days. I wish I weened my self off istead of cold turkey. Oh well it's been two days now so I should be better tonight? I hope so. I am still in some mild pain. But the bloating is going down and I can see/feel the weight I have lost. I have been eating a little more which kind of scares me but at the same time 1 packet of watery oatmeal fills me up. So I guess I am worried about nothing. I hope I lose more by tomorrow. I am weighing myself everyday. I know it seems crazy but I want to keep myself in check. I do not want to gain one freaking pound.

I had the worst time sleeping last night. I got up at 5 am to take a shower than tried to go back to bed. I think I am having some drug withdrawls from the pain meds. I hope it's almost over. I also gave up on band aids. I am pretty pissed off that they do not put warnings on them. I am allergic to some seeds and have had a reaction to sesame so when I found out that "latex free" band aids had sesame in the adhesive I was shocked. They really should mark the boxes. I have welts all over my body. I want to write someone about this about labeling. Still down 7 pounds. My first goal is 25 pounds by 9/25! So 18 more to go and I will feel way better and can wear cuter clothes.

I am so excited I am down 7 pounds! Just had some tomato bisque soup :crying: I over did it last night jumping around at practice. I have learned my lesson. I think I will rest more this weekend, before jumping all the way back into my routine. I also have a band aide adhesive allergy. So I am sans bandages for the first time all week, I think they're close enough to heal without bandages. But the burns created by the band aids is pretty bad looking :smile2:. It has kept my mind off the cough for sure. Back to work!

It hurts so bad to cough, it's like my stiches feel like they're tearing when I do. Yuck. I am at work today again, taking it totally easy on myself not only am I sore but I feel kinda ditzy. My job can be pretty serious so I am trying to stay off the phones so I don't say stupid things. Labor day weekend is almost upon us and all I really want is a vacation from my surgery vacation in Mexico.

I had surgery on 9/27/09 and I have been coughing up clear phlegm since. Is this normal? It's not a noisey cough it's actually a productive one producing small ammounts of clear phlegm. But it hurts my abdomen like hell to cough like this :thumbup:

So I was banded on Thursday the 27th and I am already back to work. It's a little rough my port site is really sore! I have already lost 5 pounds. Yay. I am hoping to lose 25 lbs by the end of the month.

My doc says 6 weeks. I was banded on the 28th :frown:

I had surgery 9/28 thurs and am back to work today, I feel a little sore but for a desk job I can handle it. I wouldn't do any lifting though. Try and take it easy!

I really want to hear from people who have been banded in Mexico. Especially Dr. Kuri. I am self pay and see this as my only option, nobody will loan me 16k. Any opinions? I am scheduled for August but am slightly worried about it. I have had my gall bladder removed years ago so I am not afraid of sugery. I guess I am worried about getting what I pay for. Also my BMI is not 40 it's like 38 I don't think it's as strict in Mexico. I don't think they have even asked me my BMI. Thanks!
