  1. Thanks for your reply, I just was wondering what to expect as far as ongoing upkeep of the band. I am not sure yet about the sweet spot factor. I am not sure what to be looking for to achieve that status. I am sure it must depend on each individual.

  2. Thanks for the well wishes!! I was wondering after surgery was there alot of post op pain?? Most people are saying some, but not severe. I am not too worried, my pain threshold is pretty high, just trying to prepar myself for the worst if need be. Because I have a fairly physical job I will be off 2 weeks, just hoping I am not miserable the whole time. Any suggestions??

  3. Pre op diet.... The first week and a half I was on a 1200 cal a day diet and lost 10 pounds! The next week I was on a liquid diet of Optifast shakes 5 per day and 1 optifast bar per day and lost 6 more pounds! My surgery is Tuesday Sept. 8th just about 1 day left to go I am really excited and a bit nervous too. Just hope all goes well for me. My feelings are good for the future. Good luck to all of those that are on the pre op diet keep strong it is worth it, You are sll worth it!!!

  4. Hi All, just wanted to let you know I have Indiana Anthem BCBS and I have been APPROVED!! I did have to get the Phyc eval, 6mo.supervised dietwith my PP, a 5 year weight history and consut with dietician. Having turned in all the required info was approved in about 8 days!! I am going with Lutheran Hospital Baritric Clinic in Ft. Wayne, In. WOW what a wonderful group to work with they walked me through evrything. Excellent Pre-Op and Post-Op care plan. Highly reccomend if you live in that area and are considering bariatric surgery!! Good Luck Hoosiers!!:):)

  5. I am so excited, I got the call that I was approved and a couple of days later got a letter from my insurance Co. to confirm!! I am looking at an early Sept. Surgery. Just waiting to hear from the clinicas to what step is next. I am on my way to an exciting journey, I am so ready for a change!!:)

  6. Aways keep in mind who you are doing this for and why!! You are going to make positive changes for yourself and it will effect all those around you, but you have to be happy with yourself before you can be a positive influence on others in your life. You CAN do this, and it's OK to be a little selfish to get it done!! Good Luck and always think positive, you are worth it!!!
