7/31/2009 I started out at 236 try to eat healthy but not to hard on myself not to much , need too. 46 or so lbs would love to see more, lost. I have had 5 fills. love it wish i would of done sooner. need a quick kick in in the bootie to get motivated. I think im hoping the band will do my job instead of a tool. im around 190 ,193 now,

i must say, i have those hic-ups as well, but that's my sign to stop eating or im fixing to vomit. as soon as i get them i know to stop, and everyone else around knows that's my sign haha. kinda like a timer. I was banded July 31.09 30+ pounds gone, I'm at a slow point need a feel I guess.

Hi ladies, I was banded on July 31,09 Im only down 30lbs. I haven't really tried hard core i guess. when my tummy is full i quit eating. Santa brought me the Wii Fit for xmas. I have played on it the last few days. Im sore this morning because of it. so my resolution is to be fat free this next year. I started at 236 and now im 206 I haven't weigh this week it being xmas and all. I am do for a fill on 12-30-09 but my last one was huge, I have vomited several times when i over eat , so I know it still works. so i don't think i need a fill , i just need a jump start and a good kick in the butt and need to get motivated. I love being able to get in my closet and where what I want. I have enjoyed that. so lets get workin on 2010 ladies. :thumbup:

mine too. that's how i know most of the time. i have 3cc in a 10 cc band and still not great restriction. had sx on july 30 09 and still only down 22 pounds. im a little discourage. but keeping my hopes up.

i was told just last week by my doctor, if i drink Beer . the carbonation would cause my pouch to stretch. so i will stick to flat soda. for sure. you have to trust in your doctor, and i really do. that's why he told me flat!!!

OMG , that is the hardest thing i have given up. my beer. i was a weekend drinker. i went threw the wine thing trying different ones, and it got to the point i couldn't stomach any more. wine. GROSS!!!!! I am a country girl. I like beer. lol. So i have decided to stick with margaritas . i just buy a huge think of Vodka and some strawberry or lime mixes. I wish they made flat beer.... I have been drinking flat diet coke. I open a can at night and drink it in the morning . not bad at all. im scared to try the beer that way. ewwww don't sound to good.

my doctor told me to take Flintstones and Tums for calcium so i have been doing the Flintstones, I hate Tums, i just make sure i drink or eat calcium .

I have been scared a little too. I have stayed clear from red meat; kinda. I have had meatloaf, I tried a beef patty and vomited it all up. I only really ieat chicken and fish and lots of veg's. I want a hamburger so bad, but I know I can't eat the bun so I always just forget about it. We have Krystal's, (white castle I guess they have up north)down here in the South Love them so much !!!! but just hadn't had any. I have had salad and it was so good, but my tummy ached and cramped from it . so just not adventuring out much on the food chain. I worked in a oral surgeons office and we always get food brought to us,from referring docs. or patients. its so hard. but I'm almost 20 lbs down so far. 1 month out . I have a fill on the 9/9/09 I can't wait, my restriction is gone. I need it so bad.

Hey yall, im from Lawrenceville, Ga, almost Suwanee. Im 33 was banded on 7/30/09 . im 5/4 i was 236lbs to start. and im down 19lbs as of this morning. I used Dr. William Johnson in Johns Creek. I have not had a fill yet, im do on 9/9/09 , i can't wait. :frown:

I'm so glad I'm not alone either. i started at 236lbs on the day of surgery, never did I have to do a pre- liquid diet. just one day before, and 1 week after . I'm down to 219. 17 lbs lost I'm happy but want and expect more. I have no restriction any more either. I have to wait till 9/9/09 to get my first fill. I haven't made good choices lately, yesterday I had pizza, so good!!!:thumbup: for lunch but I didn't eat any dinner I was stuffed all day . I want instant lost, though I know thats not reality. I liked it when I was full all day after surgery. I can admit I have no wil power at all . I love this site , im addicted. I don't post often just read and look at pics. before and after and drool :w00t:. I was banded on 7/31/09 in Suwanee, Ga. I love my surgeon. I'm 33 years old. I have 2 teenagers (15) boys, one is mine and I got the other through marriage. I have a great hubby , who really didn't want me to have it but he supports me, He thought I look pretty before, well I didn't. I love that I have made this change, best thing ever. good luck ladies, we SHOULD be swim suit ready by this time next year....WE HOPE!!!!!:blushing:

ok, hey yall. Im stacey I live in suwanee, ga. was banded on 7/30/09 . to date i have lost 17lbs. very SLOW!!! but I never comment , I just enjoy looking at the before, during and after photos and reading everyones stories or blogs. I have done very well eating wise. last thurs I offically started solids, well this evening my hubby made some hamburger patties, steam rice and some turnip greens at my request. I usually have a bite here or there. well i took maybe 3 bites of meat and first it was like a PB or it got stuck, it hurt!!! then i tried drinking some water(a nono ) but it was stuck. well i vomitting about 3 times. everything came back, so i drank so more and lost it too. waited a few hours (still a empty tummy , i was hungry ) and had wheat thins. i have kept them down , but wow. Am I never gonna it a beef patty again? it was a werid feeling. mean while my 15 year old kinda laughing shouting out "SELF INFLICTED SURGERY MOM"!!!! smart ass he was. anyways, its a eye opener, not sure what happen. I had meat loaf last week and it went down ok. just weird. so now i can say i have thrown up.

ok, ladies, let me break it down for you. I had my done on Thurs 7/30/09. i wasn't scared. weird I know. first thing don't trust everything you read on here, I did and I was wrong, every bodys doctors are different. I only had a 1 day pre-opt diet. which was that wed. 7/29/09 soft foods. I had to be at the hospital at 5.30 am. first they took me back put my gown on gave me 3 pills (chewable) my IV full of (clear gatoride she called it) and a shot in my stomach that hurt like HELL... to stopped blood clots. Then about 6.45 they wheel me down to the waiting area, my anesthologist , doctor and his nurse came to say hi and go over everything. so there they gave me Versaid (wrong spelling) but it makes you not remeber anything and makes you relax. then went to the O R and last thing I remeber is inhaleing in the mask. woke up in the recovering and I swear felt like 5 min but it was 12.00 noon. I left and came home around 2:00 I was in shock. I really felt no pain till the next day the gas is HELL!!!! it is stuck in your chest , back. it hurts. (they blow up your tummy during surgery) its like haveing a C-section if anyone has had one. the gas pain i mean. so Im on day 4 now , today I have felt great i started esplosive diareaa yesterday but boy does it feel good to release pressure today is the first for me to get out of bed by myself, i went to the mall yesterday and i was in pain but it started me passing gas and burbing. I have lost 8 lbs in these 4 days. im still swollen but i havent taken pain meds since friday. only before bed time. so the surgery i feel no pain only the gas THATS IT, if you can handle the gas trapped inside you its a cake walk. by the way not only I went thew this, started my period Friday the day after, so i have been dealing with that aswell. just drink your shakes, I have to force myself not hungry at all. love the ice pops sugar free. ok i think i went over everything, my husband was home with me threw today so 4 days. he was a great caregiver. i started at 234lbs, today 226. size 18 start. hope i ease your minds or answerewd any questions.

im being banded on July 30 , 09 so so excited. this is my last weekend , so im gonna eat and party. Im have a going away party for my self, inhopes a new "me" is born. hopefully. in all the right ways of course.
