I am about 10 pounds away from my starting weight and I need some motivation and support. I am looking back to bariatric pal to help motivate me again.
  2. Thats great! yea i'm kinda of nervous too and I think I'm getting my first fill tomorrow, not positive tho! I subscribed to you on youtube because I have a vlog as well! I was banded Oct 26th! congrats on ur success so far :w00t:
  3. I am newly banded and have been on this site researching for a while before I even had the band....i do agree that there are just some people that don't know what they chose to do fully. Seeing posts of people that think the band is a magic tool is annoying i agree. When i was at my pre-op class i was amazed at some of the people's questions they had just days before surgery that were truly questions that they should've been asking months before deciding to even get the surgery. I've wuickly learned that it's not my thing to read posts that just are so ridiculous and that are extremely negtive when it's the individual that should've been more educated. just ranting :cursing:lol but everyone else is a great support:thumbup:
  4. they are so good, i had them before I was banded and it was recommended that I switch after but i just can't get the other chewable down so these are gunna have to do for me and ill just make sure my levels are up to par! i just chew them really well

  7. I just had the SILS 3 days ago, my surgeon just used the belly button scar tissue to go through so it will just look like my belly button!
  8. Hey i've actually been pretty good! less and less sore each day which is great and i'm just getting itchy where the bandage is!!! i'm too nervous to take the cotton ball out since I had the SILS in my belly button. I'm so happy i didn't have 5 incisions because I think I would be a lot more sore if it weren't for the single incision. But overall good, just some back pains from sleeping on my back:cursing: and that hurts more than the soreness from the surgery! How are u guys feeling today?

  16. So im required to do one meal replacement and then low calorie the rest of the day. I just made my first protein shake according to the instructions from my nutr. and i added ice and 1/2 a cup of strawberries with 12oz 1% milk. After blending it, the entire blender was full, its a lot to get down!! Am i doing something wrong or do you think its just frothe? it's so much to drink!
  17. im scheduled for October 26th at 7:30am! 18. Here I am looking into WLS because I have been struggling with my weight my entire life. I am soon to be 23 and am realizing that I am not enjoying my life to the fullest because I am letting my weight affect every aspect of my life. I am a very social person, but I constantly have anxiety about people judging me for my weight. I have tried to diet and do the exercise thing in the past but when going back to college I found it very hard to stay with a plan. I think the lap band would be a good tool for me not to fall into bad habits. In February I started WW and lost 22lbs....i was exercising 4 times a week and making smart food choices. What brought me to a hault was knee pain that has now been noticable in other joints in my body. So without being able to exercise it has been hard to take care of my self and lose the weight. I am depressed that the weight would come back on and that is something I don't want to happen. I am still watching what I am eating but sometimes fall into binges of "treating" myself. I'm just sick of the vicious cycle I have been living with and I find it hard to stay with a diet when I see how morbidly obese my father's side of the family is. I just recently did the seminar and I am waiting to get a call back from the office to set up to meet with the Doctor. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I have never had surgery before so that is one of the biggest concerns I have, is the fear of that entire process. I hope I hear from the doctor soon and hopefully my insurance will cover the costs.
