  1. I did it, 100lbs. Now doing aqua aerobics once a week, gym for 45 minutes 3 times a week and just found a Zumba class close by, need some guts to get me in there yet but I think it could be fun, hot sweaty fun but if it helps and makes me smile, it's all good. Family stresses are tiring at the moment, daughter just turned 16 and is starting college in September, son due to turn 19 in September and start University. Life feels like a whirlwind and gym gives me time to think by myself. Suffering menopause too, my word I do grumble! On the bright side, I'm alive and surrounded by people I love and who love me. Let me know how the dance classes went, hope you enjoyed them so much you make it a regular thing x

  2. I don't come on so much now either but our July bandsters are doing great it seems. I'm now 1lb off losing 100lbs and so want to make it by my anniversary in 2 days. I guess that means walking non stop and just drinking water for 48 hours but having never been an extreme exerciser, it sure isn't starting now hehehe

  3. Hi how's it going? I'm just at 9 months post op and have lost 6stones 2lbs. I'd love to lose 10 stones by the end of June but I'm human so 7 will be a more realistic target. Just saw the doc about my vericose veins and guess what, I mentioned I won't go swimming because they're bad and I can't get them on NHS for vanity reasons, ok but how about the swelling and pain doc? I'll check out my healthcare and see if I can go that route. Don't rush your weight loss but do keep the exercise going, we have a full life ahead of us to be the best ever losers :) It's great to see other members journeys in photo's even if that's makes us voyeurs but it also spurs us on. Take care, hope you're enjoying your company :)

  4. Damn I'm slow! Just saw your photos, well done, now really, how is it going 5 days in?

  5. well I guess you had the pre op tests already, sorry I didn't see your message until today. How did it go? All I had done was blood taken, liver function being the important test I think and was weighed and BP taken.

  6. That's a very gorgeous 'BEFORE' photo! Can't wait for others to come to watch your progress. Not long to go now :)

  7. Hi Joan, how are things going for you this year?

  8. Hi Donna, how you feeling now. Are your friends still trying to stop you doing it? Hae you managedto get into chat room on here yet, or do you use msn or yahoo. We could chat either of thoe places if you like.

  9. Hi I just caught up with your posts here. Good Luck on Sept 10, hope it goes well for you. I'm at 6.5 mls now after 2nd fill and it's hard but it's working. Still at the musht stage but because I'm scared to chew yet. We'll get there.

  10. That's fantastic news, I'm so pleased it's going ahead for you, it will be sure of that.

The tickers are a nightmare right now. I'm sure we're quite capable of following instructions, blame it on the site! I do.

I believe I have the lap band, so called because it's inserted laparoscopily, I have no idea about the Mid Band but heard a few have it. There will probably be a forum specially for it on here.

Let me know how you go on, Take Care

  12. Hi B, how are you managing so far? I lost 21 lbs in 4 weeks bu it's so slow now, most of that was in the first week post op. My first band fill is August 7 and should be 'interesting.'
