  1. I was filled on 11/27/06 - this was my 2nd fill and I have a 10cc band. I now have a total of 2cc in me.

Here is my question - and I have a friend who has the same question...

With my first fill I had no restriction what so ever. With my 2nd fill I have lots of restriction - and it seems like everything I eat - no matter what it is - it tends to hurt or give me that stuck feeling. Is it that I have too much of a fill? Will the feeling pass if I let it be? Is it that I am still just really swelled in there and need to stay on liquids/mushy for a while?

  2. The November OKBARIATRICS support groups for bypass and lap band will

be combined as we have Dr Stephen Gauthier, a specialist in plastic

and reconstructive surgery as our speaker. We will meet in the

Auditorium of Integris Baptist Medical Center on 11/21/06 at 6:30pm.

Join us for what will be a topic of much interest.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me!

  3. I actually slept on my stomach last night (what a relief). I know that I could have several days ago, but wanted to take it easy. It was such a wonderful feeling. I woke up so refreshed. Today makes one week post op.

I had some pain in my chest that was toward the center, but under my right breast and it was preventing me to breath in deeply - mine turned out to be imflamation - rather than gas. I'm on an antibiotic now and I know that it will help. I've had imflamation in this area before several years ago.

I am just so thankful for my band. The Lord has really blessed me.

  4. I had my surgery on the 12th of October. I did a liquid diet for 12 days prior to surgery. Today is day 19 of liquids. It's through the grace of God that I'm still doing great on the liquids. So far, as of today, weighing in at my doctors office, I have lost 20 pounds. How awesome is that.

My surgery only took 36 minutes. I've got some gas, but not much. Pretty much no abdominal pain - no port pain.

    What a blessing.

  5. I know you have to be so excited. I am hoping for my surgery to be scheduled soon. It will probably happen the beginning of October. I can't wait. Have you met anyone locally who has had it done? I've met some women in the OKC area who have had it done and some who are getting ready to have it done. It's really neat watching the one's who have had it done eat. I look forward to eating like that.
