  1. I am only 10 weeks out and this has happen to me a few times. There is a huge difference in what I can eat on certain days and what I can not. For example, the other day me and my family went to a Persian restaurant. I got my entree and ate about 1oz of beef, a spoon full of basmati rice and I was full. So full that I thought I was going to get the slimies. This is very unusual because I do eat a lot of lean Protein every day.

So yesterday, throughout the day, I was able to eat 4oz of salmon, 4oz top sirloin, 3oz of lamb, 1/2cup brown rice and some green veggies. I felt good after every meal and finished every meal within 20mins.

I was stuffed for a few hours the day I almost got the slimies from 1oz of meat... go figure

  2. I eat 750-950 calories, 100g+ Protein, 100oz+ Water and 50g carbs. I consume the majority of those carbs during my post workout.

I was walking a week out and started going to the gym at 3 weeks. Up until last week I was lifting 5-6days a week and doing cardio 7 days a week. I don't really like cardio so I do 20mins HIIT cardio after my workout.

This week I have changed my routine though to 3 days on, 1 day off.

day 1- Chest, triceps, shoulders, 20min HIIT

day 2- Back, biceps, traps, 20min HIIT

    day 3- legs, 20min HIIT

day 4- rest, Might do cardio, depends on how I feel.

I do abs and calfs every other day.

  3. Since surgery day I have lost 53 pounds... hit 51 pound loss at my 2 month mark. I do really make sure I watch my macros every day and make sure to get well over 100g of Protein and 120oz of Water. I drink around 64oz of water just during my workout. I have been lifting weights 6 days a week and cardio 7 days a week since I was 3 weeks out. I have been in a stall the last week though  It will be my 3rd stall in just under 10 weeks. I do eat close to 50g of carbs a day, sometimes more, but make sure the bulk of those carbs are eaten during my post workout meal.

  4. I just started my 10th week. Today my meals look like....

    Pre-workout Protein shake

    Gym

    Post workout Protein Shake

1/2cup brown rice with 4oz of grilled salmon

4oz grilled top sirloin with grilled asparagus

4oz grilled lamp chop loin with steamed broccoli

Normally include some snakes in between but today with the above meals I am maxing out my allowed calories so no Snacks today.

The above meals and shakes total 1031calories, 147g Protein, 42g carbs, 22g fat.

  5. A .8 fluctuation over 2 days is normal and nothing to think twice about. My body weight can fluctuate upwards of 4 pounds in 2 days. I literally hit my all time low of 258 3 days ago. In that 3 days I have been back up to just shy of 261... I woke up this morning to a new all time low of 257.3. Dropped 3 pounds overnight... I can gain 2-3 pounds over night as well. I have learned to watch my "all time lows" rather than focus on the fluctuations.

You better get use to these weight fluctuations because this is how most members here lose weight... Plenty of ups and downs weight wise but over time its a steady progression down.

  6. I planned to slowly bring up my calories once I hit goal. I actually want to start eating at a slight caloric surplus everyday to build lean muscle... a bulking diet is you will. Follow that diet for about 12 weeks... gain about 15 pounds and then go back to a cutting style diet for a couple months.

I just want to make sure that my metabolism will creep up as I slowly increase my calories.

  7. I never really felt any restriction until I started eating soft foods and even then is wasn't that strong. Once you eat your first bites of normal solid food you will feel it. Then again there are solid slider foods that you will be able to eat a lot of before feeling restriction.

Apparently my slider food is hard shell taco supremes from Taco Bell lol.

Everything "johnlatte" posted is spot on... dont worry about restriction so much and focus on trying to meet your daily Water and Protein goals.

  8. Those TB tacos are mostly air. :)

A tablespoon of "meat" and a sprinkle of cheese. I want a real California taco. The kind they put the shredded beef in and then fry, then pry open and put lettuce, cheese and tomatoes in. But I cannot eat lettuce yet. So I wait. I do not think I could eat a soft taco made with a flour tortilla. I tried a bit of one and it did not agree with my tummy at all. I ate a crispy corn chip and it was clear that I will have to avoid them. They went down too easy. But I think a real crispy shredded beef taco is definitely in my future. With hot sauce.

Did a quick search and a TB taco is 2.6oz... 5.2oz for the 2 I ate which isn't really a lot.

I took a job offer in San Francisco about 6 years ago...lived there for 3 years. This taco truck would swing into my job site everyday and make these deep fried tacos. They were fried with potatoes and beef then opened up and filled with lettuce, sour cream and a home made salsa. The best mexican food I have ever eaten came off that food truck.

  9. If I could eat 2 full tacos in 15 minutes, I'd be setting up an appointment with my surgeon IMMEDIATELY to find out why! I don't actually know why someone who was sleeved 8 weeks ago would even ATTEMPT to eat that much but each to their own.

Sent from my iPhone using VST

I was sleeved on January 14. Starting weight was 277 and weight today is 255. I don't understand what all the "confessions" are about? Why is it not okay to eat a snickers every once in a while or have the fish from McDonald's? I've eaten whatever I want and still lose a pound every day. I'm so confused about why everyone thinks you can NEVER have sugar, caffeine, carbs, or fat again? That's probably why everyone's hair is falling out??! Eat a healthy diet but be realistic! If you want one piece of cheesecake (which u prob can't eat every bite of anyways) then eat one!

    Don't be such a hypocrite... .

  10. 11 weeks out and there's no way I could eat a whole one.

I think you have a very tight sleeve, I felt like I could eat more after the first 1... surprised I finished it in so quickly. Props on the Vblogs... I follow a few vsg guys on youtube and added you to my list.

Gee mike... I think they are all telling you it's a lot

    :P

It would be easier to eat a hard shell over a soft shell though.

No doubt... I few weeks back I made a pizza with "flatout bread" for the crust. Its a very thin low carb/cal bread that a lot of people use as a Pizza Crust. I literally had 3 bites and was stuffed. I am convinced it was the bread. I bet I couldn't eat half a soft taco... well maybe just 1 hehe.

It all depends on the day. I can usually only eat one but some days I could probably eat two. Don't over analyze your intake. If you are eating and satisfied on significantly less than you were pre-sleeve you are fine. Those tacos are a good treat. I eat the Doritos loco supreme one fairly frequently. Once every week or two. Low in calories, crunchy and yum. Only neg is the sodium.

I agree... Some days I breeze through eating my lean Protein and some days its a challenge. These tacos are not to bad but only something I will use to treat myself once and awhile. I think I am a little too strict with my diet and exercise and might include some type of cheat meal in the future.
