I have just started my account and have a few people added. I was under the impression that you would be able to see what other people are tracking in their daily meal plans. Am I doing something wrong or are members meal diaries who are currently on your friends list not visible.
  3. Hello armywife29, so sorry I was unable to say goodbye to you and your adorable mother. After so many sleepless nights, it finally caught up to me Friday, I ended up sleeping all afternoon into the late evening. my journey home started at 8am the following morning. Just wanted to thank you and your mother for making the experience a little more comforting for a patient traveling alone. I felt a little at ease knowing you two where there while I was getting sleeved, I wish you the best and a speedy recovery.
  4. I didnt realize you where from Seattle. I live in Vancouver,BC and was just literally in Bellingham,Wa yesterday evening shopping for post-op stuff. I thought I would be able to find some of the vitamins/supplements we can not get up here in Canada, but no such luck. Guess I am gong to have to order all my supplements online. May I ask what your plans are post-op vitamin/supplement wise as soon as you get home from surgery.
  5. Thank you for your detailed info... I am leaving Monday morning for Mi hospital with Garcia on Tuesday. Wish you a speedy recovery and looking forward to some details about your flight home. Where are you traveling from?

    November Vs Mexico Date Roll

I was asked today if I could possible push my surgery date from the 2nd to the 5th of nov. I rescheduled for the 9th with garcia... see you then.
  10. Who told you that you have to book 2 months in advanced?
  11. Yes still planning for nov1 but I have to double check my schedule. I did not know that garcia offers 5 nights in his package. I had planned to fly into SD early morning and have surgery same day with kelly. She told me garcia prefers to have patients fly in the night before for a total of 5 nights and have tests and surgery next day.
  12. I actually have decided to make the switch. I have done a lot of research on both kelly and garcia but ended up deciding on kelly mainly baised on the many detailed threads of members experience with him. I was planning to book with kelly on nov 1st. I have been very busy the last month with work and was unable to come on the forums. I did not know that garcia had a special of 4500 going on. The 1000 savings is worth it to me considering I was going back and fourth between which surgeon to choose. If garcia had this price before I would have chosen him first. I actually just got off the phone with alma about 10 min ago. They do have a date availble for me. I still have to get approved, was already approved with kelly.
  13. Is that the earliest time you could book your surgery with garcia. I am thinking of changing surgeons but was originally set for surgery nov 1st. Do you think that date is possible if I change to garcia.
  14. With the majority of the stomach removed what would happen if years down the road you developed some type of illness that would require operation of a part of the stomach, example being stomach cancer considering one has a strong genetic predisposition. I read many contradicting stats on various forums and WLS websites regarding the amount of caloric intact for men within the first year of the sleeve operation. I have read men claim to be eating 1500 calories 1 year out to maintain their weight and also have read where you will only be able to eat 500 calories a day. Lastly, I worked out a lot in high school and college, many many years ago lol. After reaching goal I would love to work at lowering my body fat % down and start bulking up again with lean muscle. Is this even a possibility with the sleeve procedure? I ask because I had to eat lots of Protein to maintain my muscle math many years ago when I was training. I know many members on this forum are active and work out daily but are any members hear working out strickly to build large muscle mass. I have chosen and consulted Dr. Cirangle @ LAPSF to do my sleeve. I am still doing as much research before I commit to doing the procedure so expect many more questions from me. If I do choose to do this I will make a very detailed and documented thread with tons of pictures about the whole process and after the surgery. .. I guess I will use the thread as a journal for myself. Thank you everyone for the help and info they add to this forum? It really is the best and most informative forum I have found so far.
