  1. I put the pictures on just a few threads. I haven't done a blog entry in a long time. Maybe this summer I'll do a few. I mostly post on "I'm here to help". Just that and Facebook keep me busy. Last summer I was off from teaching but I'm teaching summer school in the mornings in June and I have a lot of tutoring jobs lined up in July. I really should be blogging about my maintenance, but blogging was becoming a chore, not a pleasure. I'm amazed I did it as long as I did with my ADHD. I'll have to check out your blog. You look amazing, and obviously have worked very hard to get where you are. Congratulations.

  2. Thanks, Eden. It's nice to hear that my blog is appreciated. I hope it continues to help you. You can contact me anytime with questions.

  3. You're still losing! Stick with it. This is the hardest time to lose of the year. I'm planning on losing the last 5 lbs in January. Then I'll work on an additional 5 as a cushion. However long that takes is OK. Gives me longer to establish and find maintenance portions.

  4. Good luck with the band. I'm doing great but I still fight the addiction, daily. Check out my blog at IF YOUR STOMACH OFFENDS YOU, TIE IT OFF if you want to read about my journey. I started it a week before my surgery on June 18 and I deal with a lot of the addiction issues. I get scared sometimes that I'll gain it back but I've got a tool now to help me. Deo Valente

  5. Going well. Been at conferences and retreats for four days. Food was difficult but hopefully didn't gain a lot. Getting back on track. Lost 50. Fill next Tuesday. Hope to lose 20 more lbs by my birthday, December 30.

  6. I'm doing good. Lost 44 lbs so far. I'm on track to reach 70 by my birthday, Dec. 30. Finally got some restriction from my band but as I continue losing weight, I lose the restriction.

    How are you doing?

  7. Woodcrest, everyone is different. Most do quite well with their first fill. Throwing up is different than you've ever experienced. Food just surprises you by coming right back into your mouth. Quite foamy because its full of saliva. You just didn't have room for the saliva on top of the food. Pain usually indicates you took too big a bite, didn't chew well enough, etc. If you're having pain with even the tiniest swallow you may have gotten too big a fill. If you eat too much you will feel very uncomfortable and if its in chunks that won't go through the port you're in for a rough ride until it either comes up or digests enough to go thru. Avoid this by eating m&m sized bites and chewing them to death before swallowing.

  8. I'm so sorry. I pray that God will heal your body and allow you to get pregnant.

  9. Hi Giselle. Thanks for commenting on my blog. Sent you a friend request. You should see it in your notifications at the top right of the page.

  10. You should go to my earlier blogs. I've got one called Evidence of God's Sense of Humor--ADHD. LOL
