  1. I am a travel agent in my semi-real life! LOL! If you can get a first class seat for only 500.00 more grab it immediately--you will be sooo much happier--and just think, it will be the only time in your life EVER AGAIN that you will HAVE to get a wider seat and avoid te stink eye of another!! Good luck on your journey....
  2. you do go to food--but is is the mushie stage!! cottage cheese/applesauce/pudding/mashed potatoes etc--don't worry about eating the wrong thing--your body willl let you know in short order.as for the oozing--you do not have saline in the band yet--but there could be liquid accumulated at the port sight--I had that problem but the body quickly absorbed the fluid and all was well!! best of luck--use common sense and remember....doctors are PRACTICING medicine--when I don't agree with my doctor I gently remind him of what he does every day (PRACTICE) and that when he gets it perfect--he should call me! LOL!!!

  10. I am pro choice!! While I was 7 months pregnant with my 3rd child (now 27) I spoke on the house floor in the state iof Illinois for a pro choice event....my views have not changed in those 27yrs...better to offer a choice than to have the pregnant woman die in a back street abortion!! we ARE speaking about life here, are we not?? That includes the life of the lifes host--the pregnant WOMAN. Men, unless they are the barers of babies, should just stand by and be supportive--not decision makers!! Just my 2 cents worth!!

    I live in squalor

I am a junk collector--I have found that if I put a laundry basket in the room i am cleaning I can put everything that does not belong in that room in the basket--when I am done dusting and vaccumming I push the basket into the halll and put the stuff that belongs elswhere wher it belongs and start cleaning the next room the same way--I am a collector--but I feel so much better when I keep up that I no longer have to take paxil!! as for paper--I throuw it away--if it is a bill they will always send me another!! I also bought a Meile vaccuum--makes no noise--just the dirt being sucked up--the dog and the children do not run from the noise!!
  17. sweetviolet

    Can't Live Without It...

for all you vac nuts, I have a Meile tank with beater bar attchment--it is a Jewish vaccuum!! the only noise you hear is the sound of dirt being sucked up...the dog does not run away and the children love to vaccuum--they are pricey but worth every penny!!
  18. sweetviolet

    My port is flipped already!!

as for the expense of going to denver and the hotel stay...try to get the support of another bander in the denver area--i am sure someone would offer their home!! and drive to denver--yes gas is high but not as high as 2 airfares!!...just my 2 cents!!

    New band question

STAY OFF THE SCALE that being said, yes it is the IV--it is a glucose solution ie SUGAR. I gained 38 lbs in the hospital after having emergency surgery and spent 10 days in intensive care--on an IV....enough said!! but do yourslf favor...stay off the scale...this is not regular weightloss!! I weigh when I go for a check-up every six weeks..no need to make myself crazy!! Just follow the program to the best of your ability and the weight will come off! Down 100lbs..banded 6/13/06...buena suerte!!

I need Help to Help my wife with her Big 0's

please know the iifference between dementia and alzheimers--at 90 it is dementia--you get alzheimers in your late 50's---it is not caused by the hardning of the arteries as is dementia......while some of the symptoms are the same, they are definately two different maladys!!

I need Help to Help my wife with her Big 0's

I turned 60 on 2/27--and I feel that it is much better than the alternative that was imminent just 10 short months ago....when my diabetes was out of control and I had a pacemaker installed!! also am without 100lbs thanks to the lapband and all the support I get here!! Perhaps Tiina should see a professional...depression that is profound sadness for an inordinary period of time, is a chemical imbalance that can be taken care of with a little medication...just an idea! Not much stigma these days obout adressing depression and what a wonderful little help!!
  22. wendy's chili is my main stay--cheap/good/goes down/stays down!! have lost 100lbs--and was in Florida all winter!! am so amazed...never been on vacation and lost weight(30lbs) nsv's--had to mov the car seat up in order to push in the clutch/bought smaller sized shoes/bought summer clothes at the goodwill!
