Hey MissK, thaanks for the tip ! Here's another one that was reccomended in an earlier post that Ive been using and loving !! LOSE IT . It helps you track your calories for the day and charts your weight loss and well as your excercise and nutrional intake for the week. Really cooll and it's a FREE app. how much better can it get, right ?

Ditto on that suureal feeling !! I dont know what it is, it's a mix of excitement and nerves and apprehension all rolled into one !!! I still need to prep my bag but am in like a shock that I havent done so...WOW, tmrw is it !! OMG !!

For those of you who have FSA benefits or a flexible spending or health spending account through your insurance, you should know that you are already allowed to purchase any of the OTC medication, including the Gas-X and the anti-nausea meds, but I inquired with my adminstrator and she said that since we are required to have special supplements ( vitamins, protein supplementation..etc..etc) those can be covered as a FSA eligible expense as long as we get a note from the doctor stating that it is a nutritonal requirement due to surgery and submit it with our claims for reimbursement. This also applies to an protein shakes that we buy for pre and post op diets since they are "medically" necessary. just thought a good bit of FYI and a way to say a couple of bucks !!!

Allison, my dear you NEED to bring this up with your surgeon. If you dont who knows what kind of complications you can have that aren't worth the risks involved !!! Worst thing is that you get rescheduled for later in the month or even next month, but at least you will be SAFE !!! PLEASE< PLEASE !!! call your doc or tell the surgeon on monday !! Hope you're feeling better !:thumbup:

Miss K...Just wanted to let you know that whenver you need some words of encouragement or to vent we welcome you with open arms regardless of how much time you've had to visit with us !! It sounds like you have ALOT on your plate...but you know it's alright ( or A'ight , how we say here in NYC). You can do this, that and the other thing and still come out with an intact manicure and a kick ass outfit...you know why?? Because you are a strong woman and we strong and beautiful woman can do anything, It comes with the double X territory ( No insult to Viperman !!! :thumbup:)

So here is the background...my 5'2 younger sister has always weighed about 100 lbs her whole life and it wasnt till she got pregnant that she actually gained weight and is at 130 post baby ( OMG!. shocking...right??). Anyways, my sister has always lately been a "difficult" person from time to time, since she became a born again catholic and after which anyone who wasnt was a sinner..yada yada, you get the story... so here is my rant, I made the mistake of telling her about my upcoming surgery and after pleading with her to put aside her ridiculous inability to be sympathethic since she has never had a problem with her weight she asked me yesterday when my date was. When I told her it is monday she tells me.." oh that's fast...I still think you should have taken some time to figure out other ways to loose the weight without jumping into surgery":angry::angry: ARRRGGGHHHH !!! Can you FRAKING beleive this FRAKING HORSE SH&% !!! :thumbup::cursing: What the FRAK happen to supporting your family and being open minded and accepting people for who they are which is what she preaches she is since she goes to church EVERY sunday !!! Give me a FRAKING break..REALLY !! Where is the FRAKIN compassion and understanding??? The funny thing is that God puts the right people in your life always !! I have received an incredible and amazingly touching amount of support from my two closets friends at work.:smile2: Can you beleive that one of them even did the liquid diet with me step by step to help me through it (that was just the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me !! :crying:) and signing up at the gym at work to go with me during the group lunches so that I wont be tempted and suffer, not too mention give me the push to work out.. I mean who does that if it isnt an angel from God himself ??? It's mind boggling for me to comprehend how a person that doesnt share a drop of my blood has behaved like more than a sister to me, while my own blood is being a total insensitive B$#T&H !!! anyways...woohoo!! I feel soooooooooo much better to have gotten that off my chest !!! :confused:

Thanks all for allowing me to vent and for your words of encouragement !! I am incredible thankful and words can't express how floored I am on how my friends have really rallied around me. I am not a "religious" person per se...but I am amazed how God always seems to give you a cushion when you fall !!! Princess...you're right, that might be it and I guess only time will tell...I hope !!!! but if that's not the case I am thankful that I have found an incredible source of support in you guys and in my sisters by choice !!!! :thumbup:

I am going in on monday so I'm going through ALL the emotions in the book right now and not to mention the teradactyls flying in my stomach ( they ate the butterflies long ago !!!) Hey there mommyx2 ... I live in the City and am being banded at NYU. The pre-op is going much better know that I've gotten use to it, but it was REAL rough at the start. Im down 10 lbs so happy about that !! How's yours going ??

Hey Adela, for the ticker, just go to the ticker factory and create one and then add it to your signature. In your profile clikc on edit profile and on the left should be an option for edit signature. Paste the code into the box and hit save...it should be there. Same thing for the sparklee thing, just creat one at sparklee.com

Joan, Thanks for the info, I feel much better knowing that the hospital staff treated you well. My surgery is on monday and I'll find out tommorow at what time. I'm going through a plethora of emotions, excited, nervous, anxious, terrified...all at the same time, so talk about emotional !!! The hubby is LOVIN it...ha ha !!!

Allison... First BREATHE !!! and second BREATHE again and relax ( notice I am also writing this in green !!! LOL). I get you, I know where you are right now, I'm there too as we're both going in on monday, but you have to reassure yourself that it will be fine...they do this ALL the time, just think about all the girls here who have already have had it done and are chilaxing at home. Like you I also have to stay ON at the hospital but it is an insurance thing, so it doesnt mean anything is wrong with you and it'll actually help your body relax a little better and get some sleep. Ive been told that the stuff that they put in your IV overnight is stronger than whatever they could give you to take home so YAY !!! RELAX YOU WILL TURN OUT BETTER THEN YOU CAN IMAGINE !!! :wink:
