  1. Thanks for the support guys! The fill is REALLY working. I am having a lot more problems now though, my first meal of the day be it breakfast or lunch doesnt like to go down. Its rather painful actually but then after that meal I'm okay the rest of the day, is this odd?? It is working well for loss though, I re-lost the 3 lbs I had gained and then lost 1 more :) So I'm now down 64 lbs and feeling good. :D


  2. Hey guys, I just wanted to update you all about my hunger problems. I went in on Monday and got an adjustment, I had 2.0 cc and now I have 3.0 cc, my largest fill yet! I guess I just really needed it but I felt like getting it was giving up. I start solid foods again tomorrow so we'll see how it goes, wish me luck!!


  3. Hey guys, sorry I havent posted in awhile!! So I've been having tons of cravings the last week or so, fast food, chocolate, satly foods....I gained 3 lbs! I need help, I'm getting depressed :) I want to stop eating bad stuff but I keep craving it, what should I do?? I was talking to someone at work about it and they think I'm pregnant lol, I dont think I am....I hope I'm not but if I am I'd be even more worried because we arent soposed to get pregnant for at least a year....I may be overthinking all of this, I think I'm getting obsessed...HELP


  4. Believe it or not I get those same looks even when I say I've lost 63 lbs in 6 months. People think the surgery is some kind of miracle, like we are soposed to come out of it model thin in just months...take your time with it and when people ask just say you're doing well and that you are proud of your progress, which you should be! :)

    Don't get discouraged!! I had a point where I started gaining too but you just have to take a good look at what you are eating and able to eat, maybe you need a fill or maybe just better food chioces, for me it was the choices I was making (ice cream and chocolate go down too easy lol) I started a food journal and I did it for only 3 days before I saw the big problem. I started eating more Protein like cheese and special K protien bars and I cut the sweets back out and I immediately saw a 4 lbs drop. You can do it you just have to identify what could be the problem, and dont be affraid to talk to your doctor or bariatric nurse thats what they are here for! Of course you always have us too :D


  6. Guys, I'm struggling a little with feeling like I eat too much. I know this is elementary stuff and I feel I've read so much on the subject. But I just keep second guessing myself.

    Seriously, how much is everyone eating? I eat about a cup of food and I'm good for 2-3 hours. After I had my last fill I could only eat about 1/2 cup, but after a few weeks I was to a cup. Also, sometimes I feel a little bit stuck -- but I just WAIT for a few minutes and then keep eating. Is this ok? Sometimes the mild stuck feeling happens so soon into the meal that it seems like it is just irritation and not fullness.

    Also, I have been seriously stuck a few times but never barfed or PB'd more than just a teeny tiny pea size of food. Based on that -- should I be tighter? It just seemes like the truly restricted people have more PBs. Belive me, I don't WANT it, I just wonder if it isn't an indication (unfortunately) that you do indeed have enough restriction. Catch my drift?

    I also sometimes second guess how much I can eat, but the bottom line is that I'm still losing and until that stopps I'm not going to complain that I'm not PBing lol. :biggrin1: I can eat probably about a cup of food in a sitting but it takes me about 20 min to eat that much, if I'm tight on time (like at work) then I dont eat as much. For me its about slow and steady but I havent PBed at all yet. BUT I am now a size 16 in pants! YAY and I lost another 2 lbs in the last week!! I keep expecting a long platue but it hasnt come yet ;) Lets keep up the good work in Feb!!


  7. Hey guys, I haven't been on in awhile but I thought I'd post to say hi. I'm still losing down 61 lbs now and gone from a 24 to a 16/18 and I'm loving the new me :confused: I'm not sure if I'll need another fill or not, I have good restriction but I still get hunger sometimes and I still make some bad decisions. Its funny, sometimes I'll still try to eat something I can't and after a couple bites and an hour of chewing lol I'll be like why the heck did I make this. Old habits die hard I guess but new ones are forming all the time and its definately still a learning process even 6 months out. I can't believe that its been 6 months....wow....feels like yesterday that I couldnt decide if I should do it for not and here I am....crazy how time flys!

    I hope I dont need a new dress either, but ya know what it woud still be worth it! My goal weight is 160 which is what I was in Highschool and i was a 12-14 then so even if I manage to get to my goal by the wedding I think they could size it down, but also if it seems WAY too big this summer I might try to exchange it again. I hope you get to have your day in your dress very soon, there is something about that dress that is so inspiring! Be sure to take pics and post them next to your origional wedding photos!

    1. Work out 3 times per week

    2. Lose 5lbs per month

    3. Keep the house clean

    4. Plan my wedding!

    SO do we remember when I exchanged my wedding dress from a 24 to an 18 and it ALMOST zipped, I was about 2 inches from zipping at the top but I knew I could ge there so I took the 18 anyway??? Well today the 18 zipped just fine! I was at my moms and I was curious (she's storing the dress for me) and it zipped right up! Its still tight and they can size it down 2 full sizes so I think it will still be okay but what a feeling to have it zipped up all the way! I LOVE MY BAND!!!


  10. Its sad to think that not everyone has the support of their familys. But at leaast you guys have us!! My mom is pretty much the one person that says she can't see it as much, and and old roommate that I saw yesterday asked if I'd had any results yet, when I said YEAH 54 lbs his face lit up and he said "OMG thats a small child" but for some reason he couldnt see it until I showed him a picture of me before. People see what they want to see and maybe its because they only saw you for whats on the inside to begin with and that'd be a nice way to think about it lol. Lets keep up the good work through the new year!


  11. hey guys, sorry I havent been posting much lately but it's been crazy because of the holidays. I have a question though, how much weight does everyone seem to fluctuate in a week? I am weighing in everyday and I seem to be playing with 2 or 3 lbs all week. I want to see it only move in one direction!! I guess I'm just inpatient lol.... Good luck to everyone over the holiday, eat just your favorite special holiday foods and savor the few bites you get of them lol. I know I am definately using my small space for some of my moms sweet potatoes and my aunts stuffing yumm. I dont miss not being able to eat a lot until I sit down to a holiday meal and there are sooo many good things on the table that even if I had two bites of each one I know I'd be over doing it. But I guess thats the price I am willing to pay to get the weight off and what a small price it is for being able to say proudly that I've lost 54 lbs or to be able to go shopping in a normal store or to look in the mirror and like what I see, who needs christmas dinner lol :P


  12. So after a month of feelling like I was at a standstill the scale has finally moved!!! And very quickly! Since my fill I've lost 4 lbs, and 2lbs from before my fill that I didnt know about because I got frustrated and stopped weighing in lol. So I got to move my ticker 6 whold lbs and it feels great! I am having no trouble with my new adjustment but I definately feel restriction now! I thought I was eating small portions before but now they are like 1/2 cup per meal and super small Snacks like 4 cheese cubes! I'm so excited because it feels like I finally found my "sweet spot" :) How is everyone else doing.....its been quite around here the last few days....


  13. I like the "what I've learned theme we have going, it really is a learning process, learning your band, learning how to eat to live and learning how to lose weight. I love my band but I'm also quite afraid of it! LOL I am terrified that tomorrow when I try solid food for the first time since my third fill that I will PB for the first time. Wish me luck, I'll update you all tomorrow!
