    Pizza

I don't eat regular pizza. When I order pizza I order a personal pizza and ask them to make it on a wheat wrap. You can also find TONS of recipes on www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com. She even calls it "pizza porn" LOL Good Luck.
  3. It's really up to you. I have a zero gravity chair that I used in the living room and I slept propped up in my bed. I was really uncomfortable for the first few days only. Plus, I didn't try to sit to long because the more you walk, the better you feel. Good Luck on this awesome journey. Nina
  4. These last 10 pounds are going to be the death of me!!! i may have to do a day of shakes!

    Spouse or Sig other

My husband met me when I was 145 and loved me at 252. He never made me feel bad, pressured me, and was super supportive of everything I did to lose weight (including 2 surgeires). Our relationship has never been better since losing weight. It's not that he is more attracted to my thinner body...It's that I AM!! I feel attractive and good about myself (dare I say...sexy). It was a real problem that I weighed more than him (on my part). I love that I am about 30 pounds less than him now and I feel that if I did sit on his lap, I wouldn't squash him! LOL Relationship strong before and after surgery!
  7. I have the MIrena IUD and have had it during my lapband surgeries and my sleeve. Had no issues with weight gain. Dr told me since the hormones are released in the reproductive tract, it works differently. A previous post explained it well. I have 3 different doctors put the lapband in/take it out and do the sleeve. None of the 3 even mentioned removing the Mirena. That's over the top (in my opinion). I barely get my period and have zero cramps. I highly recommend it!

    Feeling Sorry for Myself

Don't put your choices in the hand of others. Take time to pack your own lunch, that way you know exactly how much oil, salt, etc in is the food you are eating. If this makes a difference, you know it's the way the food is prepared. Every month I don't lose for days, or weeks then I lose a pound a day for a bunch of days. Once I got very close to goal, had to step up the workouts...Last 20 ARE the hardest.
  9. 10 POUNDS FROM MY GOAL WEIGHT!!!! It's so close...I can taste it!!!

  10. Congrats Anne.. You are not going to believe how much better your life will be. No more horrible band side effects. I am so happy with my decision to get the sleeve. I am 6 1/2 months out and 11 pounds from my goal weight. Just wait....it gets better EVERY day!
  11. It would bother me so much that I couldn't eat more, especially when eating out. I then learned to order more wisely at restaurants. I now am happy that I can get 2 or 3 meals out of one restaurant meal. I also had problems at home with watching my husband and kids eat so much more, then it just went away..... Just like everything in life...you just have to get used to it.. Good Luck.

    One Year Anniversary Battle

YOU CAN DO IT! Don't sabotage yourself! Throw out all the trigger foods and start journaling. That will help put your caloric intake into perspective. Maybe you should do that five day pouch test. It's a good way to clear your system of all the cravings from sweets/carbs. Google it and you will find specific directions. When I get the sweet cravings back, I always do a couple days absolutely no carbs. It's hard but it helps. When u want a sweet, chew some gum. It really helps. Good Luck Nina

    Over half way there! Pics

Isn't it a great feeling not to get stressed out every time someone wants to take a picture?????? So liberating. You do look awesome. Keep up the great work!

    I'm Shrinking

What a transformation! Congratulations! You look beautiful!
  16. SO sorry to hear you are in again!! Keep a bottle of water in your hands at all times, when you don't have one..have a popscicle!! My doc said sleeve patients can dehydrate easily!
  17. I had the lap band and had a full slip. I had to have emergency surgery because it clamped off the bottom of my stomach and I couldn't even swallow my saliva.. It was an awful and upsetting experience. So much so that I "swore off" surgery. A year later, I gained the 50 pounds back, was miserable and found my amazing doctor from a friend who was revised from band to sleeve (same surgery). I can tell you this IT IS SO WORTH IT! I can't say as the previous post, that the surgery was a piece of cake....I found the recovery much more involved than with the band. First couple days were very rough.. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. I eat and live normally with no pain or vomiting! I just follow the rules and eat less LOVE MY SLEEVE!
  18. If you're gonna do it...do it right. Allow yourself to heal, it wil, be worth the wait. Glad your surgery went well.
  19. I had a drain placed during surgery and my doctor kept it there for 10 DAYS!!! He is ultra conservative! It was such a pain at home. Kept getting caught on things, made me feel not myself and sleeping was very difficult. The good thing was I would know if there was a leak BEFORE any symptoms appeared and I spent so much time 'hating' on the drain, I sailed through the clear liquid phase. Good Luck.
  20. Wow...haven't lost a pound in a while. I don't know if my body is telling me it's 'done" but I am going to try to get to goal! 12 more pounds!! I can do this!!!!

    Ibuprofen

My doctor said that if I ever needed to take Ibupropen, to take it with yogurt. But I am NOT taking any changes. My stomach is TOO small for an ulcer!!!! Honestly, Tylenol gel caps have worked great so far.
  22. You are very muscular and toned because you wear that same sizes as me and I am 162 pounds. All that exercise has paid off. You have a lot to be proud of Irene! I originally had my goal weight at 140, and I upped it to 150. I have 12 more pounds to go, and it is sure true what they last about the last 20. It's been tough. I only lose weight if I get the the gym!! You look fab! Nina
  23. I chug water all the time, especially during spin class. It sure makes getting fluids in easier! Good Luck. It gets better!!!!
  24. Eat until just before the full feeling , which in the beginning for me was 1/4 cup. I'm 6 months out and eat about 3/4 cup of food. I don't eat until I'm totally full. You will get better at knowing nice you are further out. My NUT told me never more than a half cup. I'm never hungry anymore so I just eat according to the clock.
  25. I treated myself to an iPad for getting to goal (yes, I'm about 10 pounds away but what the heck?)!!!!!
