Exercise for the sake of exercise
Mountaingal replied to TheRealMeIsHere!'s topic in Fitness & Exercise
I had a friend who walked along the roads and collected cans so she could sell them and buy gifts for her grandchildren. She got her exercise that way. -
Hope all went well for you and that you feel better now the consult is over and you know what is expected of you.

Mountaingal replied to Jeanet's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
Nice to see good results with plication. It is not so common so we hear less about it. Going to get my plication on July 17th and am ready to get on with my life as a thinner , healthier person. -
Which surgery are you having and when is it scheduled. Glad you have got so far that it is now seeming real.

Walden Farms Calorie Free Specialties
Mountaingal replied to WL WARRIOR's topic in Food and Nutrition
I use them also and they are really good. Bolton Farms makes some nice 15 calorie salad dressings. -
So happy for you. Years ago when I first thought about doing this my husband was so against it I gave up on the idea. Now he is right there with me (surgery is on the 17th). It would be wonderful if lots more of us got his type of support from our spouses. Hope you enjoy your new clothes, trips to Disney and a boob job if you want one..

I'm getting a little disappointed
Mountaingal replied to arimerm1's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
There are lots of posts here from people who have done wonderfully with their bands including Alex who started this site. Do remember many happy people move on with their lives after some time and no longer come here but the ones who are struggling still do. Follow your Drs orders and enjoy your new life. -

My girlfriend and I are scheduled with Dr Lopez on July 17th and have no doubts Bariatric Pal will support us every step of the way. -
1st of July: July sleevers - how are we all feeling?
Mountaingal replied to _Kate_'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
surgery date is July 17th. First day on the pre-op diet. Had a headache but that is normal for me when I eat less. Can't wait for this to be done and over. Feeling ab it like when someone dies and your life is on hold till after the funeral. Time to get on with what comes next. Good luck to everyone. -
Day 4 of liquid diet...feel awful.
Mountaingal replied to Vad1988's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ready made liquid shakes are far easier to deal with than the ones you mix up from powders. That said some of the powders are better if you add some fruit or other flavoring to them . One I tried was much better if I let it sit for 1/2 hr before drinking it. I'm right there with you on this pre-op diet. 13 more days to go. -
Anyone going to Mexico with BariatricPal for July 17th? I saw several July 17th's but no-one said if they were traveling for surgery.

Osteoarthritis at 32-losing weight with diet ONLY?
Mountaingal replied to BandedMi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Have you seen an orthopedist? Perhaps cortisone or Syn Visc shots would give you some relief. Not sure if an NSAID cream like Voltaren puts enough into your system to affect your stomach or stays locally. There are also several types of non narcotic pain relief patches that might help you. My husband used those along with Voltaren to hold off knee replacement surgery for some years. Good luck it is hard to be so young and face this especially after having made the choice to have WLS to improve you health and life. -
So how are you doing with this after surgery?

Slippage or naw?
Mountaingal replied to neenee717's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Never a good time to have problems but away on business is even worse. Hope you can get through your business trip and your own Dr can make you feel more comfy.
