Hey there! thanks for the comment...it has been a great journey so far, one of the best decisions I've ever made was getting the surgery. My doctor's name is Dr. Nazarian at the Beverly Hills Medical Center off Wilshire Blvd. Best of luck to you

So my first fill was pretty rough! I guess somehow my port turned on its side, so it took the doctor forever to finally inject me, leaving me bruised and in lots of pain! I have already started eating regular food, mainly salad and ground turkey. Its getting easier as the weeks go on....

Update - I've been banded now for almost 3 weeks!!! Time flys! The surgery went well, most of the pain was in the first 3 days. I've started doing cardio exercise, and currently still in the pureed food phase of my diet (I think I liked the liquids better..lol). I'm currently down 22 lbs (mostly during the liquid stage). My first fill date is Aug 19. Any advice during this phase???

I can only imagine how frustrating it is only having liquids
. I get banded July 14th, so im trying to mentally prepare myself for the "liquid journey". Hang in there... -
I finally have my surgery date confirmed...July 14th. I'll have to go on a liquid diet 4 days prior to surgery.

So I just found out this week that I have been approved to get the band. I'm so excited, and nervous at the same time. My projected surgery date is July 15. This is a big step, and after viewing this site, my motivation has increased tremendously! My current weight is 235 lbs, and I can't wait to start counting down!!! I'll keep you posted on the official surgery date, and will be posting some more pre-op pics :thumbup: Any words of advice....
