  2. Ange - Good Luck tomorrow on your surgery. I will be praying for you!

Let's us know how you are doing. Linda

  3. DeeDee -

I have been trying to sip all day long. It's a chore. I am sucking on a SF popsicle now. I can feel every swallow land in my irritated (and smaller) stomach. Not pleasant. Walking hasn't been much of a problem. The more you walk, the easier it gets. I struggled to get in and out of my bed at first. Last night I had terrible gas pains and was in and out of bed all night. It got easier - now it's no problem. Everything is tender but manageable. My only advise on protein is find conc. protein (high protein/small volume). Yesterday I made a Nectar protein with diluted crystal light. All together was almost 18oz of fluid (just like what I was drinking before surgery). It took me 6 hrs to finish one 23g serving. Today I just made the nectar with 8oz of water and got all 23g of protein in about 90 min. Some of the bariatric drinks didn't sound to appealing pre-op because there was no volume for the calories consumed. I know see the benefit.

    How are you doing?

  4. Hey Girl!

How are you feeling? I am home today, and a bit sore on the left side. Completely NOT hungry. Struggling to get anything down, because nothing tastes good.. I will talk to you more later. Take care.

  5. Yes - I am definitely READY (and nervous). I am tired of the pre-op diet and being HUNGRY. I am on 100% liquids today - good thing it was only one day at least the previous 13 days I got one "meal" a day. I wouldn't have made it 2 weeks of liquids only. Good Luck to you *hugz*. Talk to you on the "sleeved side".

  6. Good Luck tomorrow Bob!

  7. Ange - How's the pre-op diet going? I know you were struggling a bit in the beginning (so was I). I started feeling better Friday (like day 10). Maybe just the downhill side (sometimes I think it is all mental). Hang in there, it will be worth it in the end.

    Linda

  8. Dee Dee -

Just a few more days.....hope you are doing well.

    Linda

  9. I have to agree, the last few days have been much easier. Once the headaches (and overall head "fogginess/fuzziness") subsided, life has been much better. Even able to work out. I report to the hospital Tuesday at 9:30am - I was thinking how cool, because I could sleep in, then I remembered I will be sleeping most of the day. Wishing you a successful surgery, see ya on the "sleeved side".

  10. Hey Bob! How's it going? Just a couple days left of pre-op diet for you, one more for me. I am getting excited. Tired of the pre-op and ready to "just get on with it". Good luck Monday! BTW What time is your surgery Monday?

  11. Thanks Ange! Yes it is coming fast. Although this past weekend, I watch the minutes drag by on my pre-op diet. I felt horrible. Luckily, made it through and only 5 days to go. Feeling much better. When does your pre-op diet start? August 10th is just a bit further around the corner, but not much. Keep in touch! I will let you know how it goes next Tuesday.

  12. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow! Let us all know how you're doing when you get the chance.

  13. How's the pre-op diet going today? I am on day 4 and have had a bit of a headache all day. I'm hungry of coarse, but manageable. 10 more days to go.....

    Good luck!

  14. I know it has been kind of rough for you lately. It will get better (I have to believe that, I not sleeved yet). 25 lbs already, that's AWESOME!
