  1. Tish, how are you doing?

  2. I was told to stay out of the pool until the incisions healed. Limit the possibility of an infection. I'm healing too and itchy which I think is the healing process. I wonder how long it will take to get the glue off. It will probably have to come off when the skin cells renew.

I had a protein drink this morning and I've been stuffed ever since. I think I'm going to cut it in half tomorrow and save the rest for later. I also bought some soup today and I'm looking forward to eating (drinking) something not sweet besides broth. I got a cream of asparagus and I'll have to strain the veggies. I also got a broccoli soup. Guess I'm missing my veggies, I never thought that would happen.

Haven't had nausea, just lots of gas. Yehawww.

Hey I like the updates, want to keep it up?

  3. Nice to meet you. How are you doing? Do you have gurgling stomach? How about hunger yet? How's the incisions?

I'm in Tucson, AZ and was banded in Mexico.

We actually visit MD about once a year. However, I'm not sure if we are going to make it there this year. We'll see.

Let me know how you are doing.

  4. Hi nawlinzlady,

You requested me as a friend, so I thought I'd try and be one. How are you doing? I don't remember your surgery date so if I ask something inappropriate, I apologize ahead of time.

Are you on pre-op diet yet? What steps are you having to take for your surgery?

My husband, my sister and I went to the NO Jazz Fest this year. It was my husband and my first trip there. What an incredible place. My sister was there before, but never left the French Quarter. We drove around a bit and also took the street car around. We want to come back, but probably not for the festival....although the music was wonderful, it's just too crowded and hard to get to a venue and set up in time to actually see the artist. I think it would take a large group so you could have a place staked out early to make that work well.

    Take care now.

  5. Somedayslim,

At least you are having your surgery in a beautiful place. I thought about it, but it's much less expensive and easier for me to get to Tijuana. I have the same kind of insurance as you do so I have to self pay. One thing about the self pay is you don't have to jump through as many hoops as the people who have to do the insurance. I guess it comes down to time or money.

So I checked out your profile and see you like to read sci-fi. What sort? Any favorite authors?

Take care and I'll be sending you positive thoughts on the 3rd too!!.
