  1. I have an allergy to things out of the water so I actually only eat Veggie Sushi or beef which they make at my local restaurant. Today I went again and had a veggie roll and actually spit the nori into my napkin in a discrete manner. Not an ideal situation however I still loved it.
  2. I thought I would get your attention with an alliteration!! Tonight I went for a fab sushi dinner the #1 rated restaurant in Colorado...and the seaweed paper got stuck....as I ran to the restroom I was holding my hand over my mouth. Just wanted to give people a heads up...it was my first serious stuck experience...
  3. Does anyone want to set up a meeting of our own? I was thinking that it would be nice to get together last night the support group was great however we barely got time to sit and finish our chat.
  4. Congrats!!! I am so close....5 pounds....
  5. I am a patient of Dr.Chae's and am now 4 months post surgery. Dr. Chae is fantastic and sometimes hard to get a hold of however if you call 303-903-2930 and ask for Pam she will take great care of getting everything organized. Let me know if you have any questions!
  6. I spoke to Dr. Chae today about the issue with getting through to his office. He advised if there is ever an issue to call him directly on his cell phone or his nurse she can do his schedule. That was his best advice!
  7. Sounds normal as there is a huge liquid component just make sure you are sipping it very slowly so you do not go over your full quota!
  8. You can get a tea in most drugstores called Smooth Move it is a Dieter's Tea. It worked like a charm for me I had two glasses and all my issues were gone!
  9. I recommend when laying down putting a couple of pillows under your legs, this helped me a lot. I did not have any gas pain however I did have a fair amount of port site pain and I found it alleviated it. The pain meds gave me migraines so I had to stop taking them. Another thing that alleviated this was I went to the Chiro shortly after and she was VERY gentle in realigning me after the surgery. This also made me feel a lot better. I gets better though! Just remember why you are doing this :bored:
  10. We all need good news and need to share it when we can! Yesterday I went to Old Navy and tried on XXL pants and they fell off....I went down a size and even those are pretty big!
  11. I think we all need more good news on here!!! Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I will admit I have good days and bad days gains and losses however as long as you stick to it the results will come. As far as my port it hurt for a good two months after surgery and I could not sleep on my stomach without my pillow however it has since gone away. I think it is because you can easily feel my port under my skin? Not really sure.
  12. Today I went to Old Navy, and I went for the XXL pajamas as per usual and when I tried them on they fell off!!! I bought them in XL and they are even big...just wanted to share it was a fantastic experience. I also made an incredible dinner: I took my slow cooker and added: 2 chicken breasts 1 Can of Black Beans 2 cans no sodium crushed tomatoes 2 Tsp Cumin a couple dashes of hot sauce Chili powder I left it for the day and when I got home I shredded the chicken with a fork. It was a shredded chicken black bean chili. I sprinkled cheese on for the husband and put it on rice for him. For me it was just plan and it was very tasty!!
  13. You will be fine  Just stay active after the surgery it makes life easier
  14. Hey Ladies, I met some of you in June at the Support Group however I was away with the military for a few months and I just got home. I tried for 3 days to get ahold of Susie finally via e-mail reachsusie@aol.com I am thinking of telling Dr.Chae it is giving him a bad rep online with the lack of contact. I had my first fill today 3cc so I am excited to get going on this weight loss!
  15. I am Canadian, and a reservsist so no I was able to complete my duties as required and no issues this summer
  16. I am getting my first fill tomorrow and I am a little nervous. I am in the military and I was posted for 3 months out of country and it was very difficult to maintain the diet as I had very little control over what was served. I am really excited to finally get on track! I am down 30 pounds from my pre-op weight and ready to kick it into hyperdrive!
  17. I guess my one complaint so far is that after I eat I get the worst taste in my mouth that no brushing or mints will erase. It is a strange thing to complain about! However on the plus side I am down 20 pounds!!!!
  18. I recommend a comfortable sports bra with no underwire for the way home!
  19. The pain is minor and have had no gas!!! I feel very lucky however cannot keep my oxygen levels up so am still in the hospital . Strange though started my period 2 weeks early...
  20. going tomorrow morning to be banded. I will advise how painless it all is tomorrow
  21. I hear you!! I was annoyed and am really hoping I am up for the class..
  22. My nutritionist will not advise me which shakes to drink until she recieves my cheque for $150.00 Hopefully that is today. The surgery is on Saturday however the class I need is on Sunday following the procedure. All the staff seem to think I will be fine to sit for 5 hours the next day through a class...
  23. I am getting banded on the 6th of June- Can not wait!
