  1. As always this site to the rescue! I am almost three years out and this started in May and I have been miserable since. I am going to get an unfill and see if it helps!
  2. I agree, I am at a healthy 118/120 and I feel great and I look great....I think. I am starting to get people asking me if I am anorexic and if I need help. I have one boss that keeps trying to get to scarf down pastries all day....My weight is my business...plan and simple, My goal is 112-115 and then I am done.
  3. Well I am home from the hospital and I am feeling about 1000 times better than I did after my lapband procedure. So far I am not eating much at all however I am sure that it will be better each day. Only a bander would complain that they lost a gall bladder but the bad side was I gained 10 pounds in swelling. I would be happy to answer anyone's questions! Thanks for the good thoughts!
  4. i was banded cast year in June and have been very successful. Down 110 pounds. On Sat I woke up at 0300 with very sharp pains. I though I had made my band slip so I went to the doctor and much to my surprise....I hasd surgery the following morning to have my gallbladder removed and there were dozens of stones. has anyone ever done this. Also did you have an after diet. Sorry about the typing I am on my iPad sitting in the hospital with an iv in one hand and oxygen thinger in the other
  5. Is anyone from the Denver area interested in getting together for a coffee group?
  6. Has anyone tried a cleanse while banded? I am thinking a Slimquick cleanse
  7. Thanks for the Denver hook-up info!!! I will set my DVR
  8. My family is visiting from Canada and we had a great dinner of steak and ceaser salad. I ate with very small bites and chewed very carefully and the meat was very tender. I PBd everything and was throwing up for a good 30 minutes. I am pretty sure I am at my sweet spot and am losing at a great pace however these moments are so frustrating.
  9. So I have quite the collection of old bridesmaid dresses from the years, I mean seriously a chubby bridesmaid always makes the bride look good right? So tonight I dragged out 3 of them and tried them on....THEY ARE GIANT ON ME!!! The navy strapless which previously was great for showing off my giant arms is now falling off, The purple barney costume looks like a mumu, and best of all the lime green and orange halter looks ridiculous....oh wait that has not changed. I am thinking about trying on my wedding dress next time I am at home...... Take out those dresses and remember how fabulous you were and how now you would be too hot to even be asked!!!
  10. The seaweed paper gets stuck very easily and I have to discreetly spit it into a napkin however the rice goes down nice for me. I would wait until you are healed though....
  11. Just relax and take each day at a time, this is a system that truly works. Give your body time to recover and you will do amazing!
  12. I am so sick of cold food, I know I have to eat slowly and I do...however I would love a hot meal.
  13. Alright so two weeks ago I had my fill and I am up to 5ccs in a 10cc band. It has been a rough two weeks and I have been PBing on everything soft. Pureed chickpeas, soups, broth, protein shakes. However I have been able to keep down crunchy items and water. Has anyone else had this?
  14. I did not tell many people at all however those I told are incredible with their support. I did not want people looking too closely at me wondering why I have not lost more weight etc.
  15. I have found that your body will let you know when it is time for real food. It takes some time for my body to heal from the fills so I always take it slowly with my liquids and mushies. I was filled last Thursday and am still on mushies as I can tell I am not ready for normal food yet.
  16. Are you filling up on lean proteins? That is what makes all the difference for me. I can be a bit of a carboholic and I found once I started eating my protein first and a couple bites of my side dishes it really made a difference.
  17. I finally firmly planted into Onederland with a weight of 195 and am sure I will stay put. I am also at my sweet spot...I think so hopefully this is the beginning of something great!
  18. Cancel last message.....back on water will see the Dr tomorrow
  19. Today I got down some black beans and green chilies puree without much of an issue in the evening. I am keeping hydrated and I think the swelling is going down as I can eat again and am keeping down water. Thank-you for all your support as always!
  20. I am vigilant about the mushies-liquids, I will give it a couple of days as of now I am keeping down nothing except a little water. It feels like I was just banded again, I guess on the upside I have lost about 5 pounds since the fill and today I bought two size 12 dresses at Ann Taylor. If I am not better by Thursday I will go for an unfill.
  21. I had my third fill on Thursday and while at the Dr office I was able to down water better than either of the other two fills I have had. I made a chickpea puree with lemon and dill and am throwing it up almost right away after it gets stuck. The band is not loosening in the evenings at all...I guess this is getting close to my sweet spot?
  22. I have just been reading Catherine55's increrdible blog and have really enjoyed hearing about sharing clothing. As I continue to lose weight I have a fair amount of beautiful clothes in size 16-20 which I would love to share with some people coming into that stage. I have dresses for more formal occassions, jeans, sweaters, and workout clothes. So let me know if you are interested! They would just go to Goodwill and I love the idea of passing them on to bandsters. With the price of clothes today we can all get by with some help!
  23. So on the scale this morning was the magic 199!!! Now I know it is a first thing in the morning thing but let me tell you it felt fantastic! I went to TJMAXX and also bought a CK dress in size 14 and it is a little loose on top. Lets hope I stay there!!!
  24. I like blended 1o bean soup with some curry powder mixed in!
