  1. You look great! You're such an inspiration.

  2. Bobbie,

Have you had your second fill yet? If so please let me know how it went. Thanks!

  3. They only put 1.5 cc's in my band. At my doctor's office they go really slowly. I can notice some restriction, but nearly as much as I will need or want. At least I'm on my way. I'll have another appointment on Monday August 31st, and hopefully I'll get another fill. Good luck!

  4. Things are going really well for me. I noticed that you just had your surgery. How are you doing so far?

  5. I'm doing well. I had my first fill and my second is scheduled for August 31st. My weight loss has slowed. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing like I was. I don't have any restriction either. I'm down 30 lbs since June 11th. I've lost 17 pounds since my surgery. I'm pretty pleased with those numbers. I'd really like to be down to 199 (21 more pounds) by the end of October. More than aything, I feel like I need to ramp up my exercise.

  6. Well, my surgery went very smoothly. I didn't have any real pain until I got home. The pain was mostly around the incision near my port. To be honest, this surgery was quite a breeze. I know you'll be nervous, I was too, but you shouldn't be. I'm young (26) and I have no other health complications and I'm pretty sure that's why it went so smoothly. Good luck to you!

  7. I like the new photo. So how has it been since your surgery four weeks ago?

  8. Yeah, I told myself the other day that I would only start weighing myself once a week (I had gained a lb. and I can't imagine how that could be). Eventually I'd like to weigh myself just weekly, but right now that just isn't going to happen. I paid a lot of money for my band, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I lose as much weight as I can. I hope all is well with you!

  9. I was told no carbonated beverages for the rest of my life. I have friends who waited 3 months and one that waited for a year. I'm not going to try it for a long time, I'm just too scared. Yeah I've noticed that my face is thinner (yay) but my lower stomach is still swollen, so it seems a little misleading. I just saw one of my friends today, and the first thing she told me was, "I can tell you have lost weight, your face is thinner." Oh how I love a good compliment. :) I hope you're doing well. Keep me updated!

  10. As a whole I feel pretty good too. I'm surprised at how easy of a process this has been so far. I know we have a lot more ahead of us, but we're alive and well! :) I don't have to go back to work until next Monday (every summer my the company that I work for has a two week shutdown, and I don't have to return to work until the 20th). Thank goodness for that. Since the surgery (8 days ago) I'm down 10 lbs, for a total of 23 lbs. I love it! I can't wait until I can eat some regular low carb food, yum.

P.S. I totally miss my large fountain diet cokes, but it will all be worth it!

  11. So I had my surgery on July 7th, and I've been following your blog to see how you have been progressing thus far. You'll have to update your blog so I know what to expect. :) Good luck to you!

  12. So we're one week post op. How are are you feeling?

  13. My surgery is on July 7th. I'm super excited, but also a bit nervous. I hope that you're doing well.
