Lisa,
I think that you may be in my head too. I can't wait for July 7th! I'm so ready to have surgery, but I'm a bit nervous about the surgery itself. All in all I know this the right decision for me, even if I'm a little scared.

I too am scheduled for surgery on the 7th. I have to start my pre-op diet tomorrow. I can't even imagine how difficult it's going to be, but I'm ready to be a Protein Shake queen. No cheating for me! I'm shrinking this liver, and getting ready for my life. I can't wait to see how well everyone does.

Okay, well it's not very obvious that I'm not pregnant. Thank goodness for that. I'm so excited yet overwhelmed with this whole process and I think that it messed with my cycle. I'm happy to say that I'm being banded on 7/7/2009!

Okay, so I have decided to have the Lap Band surgery and I was hoping that it could take place next month, since I'm a self pay patient the process should go a little quicker. Well, now there's a possibility that I could be pregnant (I'm a couple days late and my period is usually like clock work). If I'm pregnant (it would be our first baby) how soon after do you think I could be banded? Does anyone have any knowledge on this topic? I'm sorry if I sound a bit disappointed, its not that I don't want to have a child but I've been really excited about the opportunity to be banded. I really wanted to lose all the weight before I became pregnant, that way there wouldn't be as many health risks.

Hello,
My name is Erica and I'm proud to announce that I've made the decision to have the Lap Band surgery. My husband and I have been trying to decide whether we would by our first home, or if I would get the surgery. I know that it would be best for me to have the surgery and start losing the extra weight. I'm 26 and I've been overweight/obese for the last decade, but this time I'm almost fifty pounds heavier than I've ever been. It's been this was for almost the last 1 and 1/2 years. My insurance will not cover the surgery, but I am willing to finance this myself because I want to start living a healthier and happier life. I feel that the Lap Band surgery will give me that extra boost. I'm hoping to find support from this website, and I hope to find and receive solid answers to some of my questions regarding the procedure.
